I unplugged and removed that tip over sensor when doing this controller swap. It may be worth noting that the triangle plug on the X-controller plugs into the plug that the tip over sensor came off.
Saw on a Sur-Ron Facebook group that the triangular connector matches up with the tilt sensor connector... Is there a tilt sensor built into the X controller or is the original tilt sensor still required? Thanks!
theres 2 bolts in the side of the frame that allow the entire front battery plate/controller plate to hinge on the 2 remaining bolts at the bottom of the bike... easier than taking out that little 'tab' bit imho
It was just out riding my sur ron 2022 model 600 miles in shorts, I felt like it was shocking my legs. Bike was running fine other than that kind of has me concerned. Kind of went over and looked at the wiring tonight didn't see any problems obviously, have you guys had any problems with these controllers shorting?
When you turn the bike upside down, what do you rest the seat and handlebars on? It appears to me the first contact point in the rear would be the rear fender, and the contact point in the front would be the controls on the handle bars. Neither of which seems optimal to me.
@all: I installed a sine wave X controller on a european street legal Sur-Ron (they call it the Firefly here) which normally comes with the “stock” controller. I only have one issue: My instrument randomly shows 0% battery power and 0% voltage. It just flashes on once in a while, along with the low battery indicator, and then goes back to normal. Once in a while I also get the “Er-002” code on my LCD screen. The bike itself operates normally though (albeit higher battery drain, but I’m sure that’s normal due to the higher power), no power cutoff, nothing. Do you have any idea what might be causing this? What does that error code mean (couldn’t find any definition to it, also not in the service manual listing the failure codes)? On another note, I thought this might be of interest: On European models removing the slow mode or “unlocking” the bike is done by cutting the green wire. I still have mine intact, but having installed the X controller, i can now reach 80km/h in sport mode, and on economy it tops out at 50km/h. Also, I have a connector on the main bike harness for the triangular one coming out of the X controller. I connected them but I have no clue what it’s for. Does anyone know what it is? Thanks

i have the same problems. normally i had the green wire cut. now i've soldered it back together and installed the x controller. now i have recuperation but i can't programm the x controller + i have less torque when opening full throttle. I'll try to remove the third plug. Has anyone of you had any progress?
Just finished installing the new X controller on my 2018 surron and my speed is now limited at 25 km/h, reconnected the black and green wire and speed is still locked.. Any one else have this issue when upgrading their controller. Any help would be appreciated thanks!
Has a more linear power band, sine wave output (quieter motor) and an increase in initial power of 15-25%. This is according to a few videos i have watched and what owners have reported.
Segway 260 already has this type of sine controller. The old controller, in this video, was only on old Surron way back in 2019 or earlier. By the time Segway started rebadging the Surron as a Segway, all bikes were being manufactured with this controller.
