This very well might have been the editing inspiration for Birdemic. (May not contain a swamp.) phelous.com / phelous Originally Released: June 22, 2011
16:04 The dead are watching me _with my family, having ourselves a party_ perhaps this was all meant to be. I see them _just hanging out, hanging out. Hanging out_ outside in the tree, cuz' the dead are _hanging out with my family, having ourselves a party (a cool summer breeze)_
19:37- Fun fact: the music that plays in this scene is actually Blue Meanie's real life theme song from his WWE days. It's called "Here we go!" and was composed by Jim Johnson. You can tell this movie is bad because WWE couldn't be bothered to sue for copyright infringement!
i like to imagine they meant chemistry. because that shit is fucking hard to wrap the brain around... *waits for the inevitable hate from those that like chemistry*
Oh hey, Len Kabasinski. That stature and long blonde hair are unmistakable! Assuming the cameo in a small acting part means he also directed this one? I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s even commented below somewhe...... yep, yep.
This actually has the most realistic hand to hand against zombies I can think of. Zombies get stronger, yes, but they also lack balance and coordination. They would be really easy to toss around, provided you don't get cornered. Unless they're like the modern "infected" subtype that are just people with rabies. But that's not as fun. Rest of the movie looks like something a dog drops on the lawn though.
+Nekufan1000000 So, I'm not really going to spend a lot of time debating on the attributes of zombies, but why would zombies get stronger? Shouldn't they get weaker? You know, since they're a walking, rotting corpse?
Your body unconsciously limits your strength to prevent damages. When you're a zombie, that limit is removed, making you physically stronger. At least, until you eventually decay.
At least also in a franchise like Resident Evil, it would make sense for the "zombies" to become physically stronger than humans, since those are not really walking corpses, but rather people mutated in ghoulish monsters, that initially look and act like Romero's zombies, by a virus originally intended to create Tyrant supersoldiers. Aside from patches of their flesh necrotizing, as one effect of their genes not being compatible with the Tyrant Virus, they otherwise behave exactly like living creatures that happen to have superhuman strength/durability/healing/vitality.
But let’s being honest, zombies are as realistic as fairies. The undead via virus or otherwise are like cars without engines and fuel. Heck even if they’re not dead, they won’t really last long without the ability to drink water nor constantly running around trying to eat people without dying of exhaustion.
I haven't seen anything about this in years. Some of it was shot where I live and I had an aquaintance that was an extra in it. Apparently the bulk of any budget they had went to the porn star and Dan the Beast appearing in it. I go to those beaches lol.
I haven't watched this review in a long while and I'm just now realizing this is where that "the mothers are watching you" song came from. I always thought it was a joke song you came up with yourself or something (the singer also kinda sounds like Allison, so I figured it might have been an inside joke with one of her old reviews). It is a catchy tune tho. You should bring it back if the opportunity comes up in another review.
Really funny how the bikini lady was given clothes to put on but didn't bother buttoning up the shirt. Either she wanted to leave some skin exposed or the director asked if she could stay that way. lol
About the Steven Stevenson thing, I actually knew someone in my grade in high school named Darin Daringer. No joke. 3:19- I actually been to college classes that were this size. Even if these morons were to make a Star Wars fan film that takes place on Degobah, they'll still fail to make it look like a swamp. 12:44- I think this shower scene needs a shower, 'cause it's one of the most dirty one I've ever scene. 13:54- And the title "Zombie Lake" was already taken. Everyone knows how to fight zombies? What the hell do they think this is, a Cynthia Rothrock movie?
3:36 Porn and wrestling? Well, acting aside, she's probably more talented than most people in this film... It would have been a better (or at least more tolerable) movie if those talents were utilized if only to make it slightly interesting. Simultaneously if necessary.
I think the explorer guy at 4:32 was supposed to be a David Hatcher Childress parody. He's frequently seen on Ancient Aliens and does his own mystery exploration stuff and he talks exactly like that.
This came from the Tommy Wiseau school of acting...and writing...and directing...and apparently they decided to let him behind the camera and edit the sound too
You know... when my friends and I were very young and very stupid we made a video project for one class assignment. I don't even really recall which one it was. We went to a city nearby and I was our cameraman. We mostly just.. joked around and filmed some architecture relevant for the assignment (I think). I was later told our teacher showed the whole thing in the teachers lounge and they had a lot of fun with it. Well, to make a long story short (Santa killed them) I'm pretty sure that, whatever shit we made and I cut together looked and especially SOUNDED better than Swamp Zombies. I mean.. SWAMP ZOMBIES!!!
This review is now almost twice as far removed from the present day as it was from the release of Swamp Zombies when it was first released. Not noting this for any particular occasion, just stumbled across the video before bed and thought it was an interesting detail.
Geniunely would love to see a spin-off with that badass park ranger chick where she somehow survived. She was kicking the shit out of those SWAMP ZOMBIES!!!
13:17 uh, yeah - that's *definitely* Len Kabasinski hahaha I wonder if this is his movie. If so, then take heart that later on his films did indeed improve...but only marginally bahaha. Not too tough to improve on 'Swamp Zombies!!!' though, innit?
@@coyotefever105 If nothing else Len takes criticism better then James. Look him up on RLM's videos - he seems like a really nice guy and for a while talked to people in the comments.
