Enjoyed the video and subscribed. I was wondering if the peppers and onions could be chopped like to throw in a stir fry or fried potatoes? Thanks a bunch 😊
Thank you!! You can pressure can green and red peppers instead of pickling them. I’ve done this in the past, but I think I prefer freezing them instead of pressure canning them. A little too soft for me.
Hi I'm not worried too much about all the sugar b/c we use so much acv. Also, I added a full tbsp of tumeric by accident. Do you think this will be a problem, plus I added like 5 heads of garlic just b/c I love pickled garlic. I hope I haven't ruined my first time canning peppers. Any feedback?
Absolutely love, love your channel!! If you keep adding water bath recipes, I’ll keep making them myself! I am new to canning and you are a lot like my mom (recently deceased). So, now I am learning from you!! How many peppers did you use in this recipe? I don’t want to mess up. Thank you so very, very much for your help and for your channel!!
I’m so happy you found my channel!! When I make sweet peppers, I have a large bowl that I use when picking my peppers from the garden. I slice all of them up and if I have leftover peppers I freeze them for stir fry of fajitas. The brine will be enough for a full canner load. I hope this helps!!
Depending on the size of your peppers, if they are large, I would say around 10 peppers. I’m glad you found my channel and I hope you love this recipe as much as we do!!
These are great questions!! The peppers do soften, but they aren't mushy. They are great on salads/sandwiches/baked potatoes, etc. You can tell that they have been sweetened. I've never adjusted the amount of sugar that I use, so unfortunately, I can't fully answer your second question. If you've ever eaten at Subway, they taste just like the sweet peppers you get from that restaurant chain. I hope that helps!!
That’s a great question. I have never tried making it with less sugar, so I’m unsure of what it would taste like. I did find a recipe for you at www.lordbyronskitchen.com that uses a lot less sugar. I hope that helps!!
That’s a great question!! They are like the sweet peppers you get at Subway restaurant. They are softer, but aren’t mushy. They are a great condiment for sandwiches!! Hope that helps!!
