PvP Season 3 is now live! until around October 23, 2023 (12 weeks). PvP Seasons are a limited-time event which allows you to earn unique rewards just for playing PvP matches. This new track rewards system is available to free-to-play, preferred and subscribed players at level 10 and up, and each season is only available for a limited time of 12 weeks per season. PvP Seasons are not related to Ranked PvP Seasons, as Ranked PvP has been removed from the game entirely.

To anyone struggling with pvp, keep in mind this is an mmo. Even as a veteran pvper when I queue solo i expect to have a much harder time than when im with a group. If you are new to pvp but interested reach out to other pvpers who know what they are doing, many ppl are willing to help, its not as toxic as a lot of ppl will have u believe. In fact most pvpers i know want to teach others because it raises the level of competition for everyone. Its not fun to play against someone who melts and doesnt know how to use dcds. Gearing matters a lot, the talents you select in your skill tree could be very different in pve than pvp, legendary implants, tacticals, and more. There is a steep learning curve if you are just learning but imo swtor has the best pvp of any mmo, and once you learn, you'll have a lot of fun.

The only gear purpose i noticed throught years is when some smart team mate marks lowest gear enemy, and while we melt that useless body their real dps already got us killed😂

I tried it as a casual non sub last season and had a hard time progressing, but did find out those other pvp objectives are locked behind a subscription. The only options made available for f2p is to only win a set number of matches for Warzones and Arenas. So at least there is 200pt to earn there, but i would really appreciate it if the wins for the season were more than just 48points towards 1000 weekly limit (i'm not including the points from the medals). You'd have to win at least 20 times in order to just get the weekly done. So it still feels like a grind, especially when you don't win every match. 68pt would feel a lot better because then it would just be 14 wins instead, and i think that would help immensely to take off the pressure of falling behind for season progression. I am glad for the general pvp mission changes, but i hope the seasons itself gets some additional tweaks and get better rewards for the future. :)

From what I understand, the weeklies rotate and you get a choice of 4 as free-to-play. Definitely harder as f2p if you want to pick and choose objectives!

Thank you for that! That is helpful to know when i go back to preferred status! Next season will be interesting when i am back to F2p- in the meantime i have been working on more pvp and figure out how the system works to see how fast i can get the 1000pt weekly done. Your video helped me figure out what i was missing about how those pts are earned. I did discover when playing Arenas i only made like 24 points in a win match- so i decided to only stick to warzones where if the constant reward is 48 (for me)- i think it is a better and more efficient option to getting the rest of the pts needed after the objectives are complete, but i also think i would like arenas more if I could get more pts lol

you forgot to mention. if you're the kind of person who tries to do whatever they do well or at least decently, you're gonna have a bada time on pvp, cause most people don't care about winning or making an effort, 90% of people who are currently playing pvp don't play objectives or just play really dumb like not defending objectives and such and people who care like me just have to put up with that. you are completely dependant on your team. worst of all is that pvp is fun when people try. i don't think there is any justification to be rude to others on chat, but it is really frustrating that you have to go through a bad time cause people want the season rewards and don't care about the game or the teammates that are there to actually play it

I'm sorry but this isn't even remotely true, anecdotal at best. I'll give u the benefit of the doubt as all servers are different ect however I've been maxed out on seasons points in one day for the two consecutive weeks and I only play swtor for pvp. This isn't my experience at all...90% is such an arbitrary number. A lot of ppl care about winning. There are gank squads who only want to farm dmg but they are few and far between. If you are a new player yes you are going to struggle. There's a learning curve. You have to know your class well, be geared properly ect. However I'm in a large conquest guild and I help new ppl all the time, we group up and win more often than not. If ppl enjoy pvp they can take matters into their own hands and improve their experience. If you queue up not knowing how to play, undergeared, and just trying to grind out rewards ect..then yeah I can see frustration coming from that. Reaching out to ppl who know what they are doing is only going to improve the experience imo.

@@FilthySF if you play on satele shan i'd be happy to join your groups. i do fine on a personal level on pvp. high damage and score on most of my games. since i wrote this comment I started playing on imp side. i know they mix teams these days, but i've won (had good teams) on most of my matches as imp. maybe each side has a preference of teammates? at least on my server it is a fact that there is a lot more skilled pvp players on imp side

This is why I usually group with friends or guildies. If I'm going into pvp solo I know it's 50/50 if I win or not and don't really care if I have a bad team. Trying forming a group with people and you'll have a better time

i honestly cant confirm some of these toxicity claims from other comments here so i played 8 warzone matches (queued alone) today for the weekly (pretty much every mode..pylons, huttball etc) i won like 4 or 5..cant remember..games were usually pretty close...except one time my team got crushed and i also had a rather dominant win all in all pretty balanced in one game (we lost..rather close tho^^) there were "toxic" comments from 1 person..quote "bad group" and "stupid team" that was pretty much it 2 times a 10 min queue (was early tho) and after that pretty much an instant pop 6 times satele shan NA server bummer to hear your rather negative pvp-experience maybe its just arenas..or the server..or i was just lucky^^ anyway..just want to shed some light on the pvp community haha and btw im a pvp casual..the last ranked matches i played were like a handful..back in 2018..and i felt rather...overchallenged^^

Just let the game die in peace. There is a massive outflow of the subbed players right now. But I'm sure broadsword will soon start to communicate with players and give us some hope, right?

@Swtorista Thanks! I miss this game tremendously, but there is no new content asside from solo content TMK. New skins that have a different shade of Beige for packs I have to buy on armor thats ugly to start with isn't new content.
