AWW man! symphony x came to my state (massachusetts) in the united states and i got to meet them backstage! it was EPIC!!!!!!! they signed my old hi-hat cymbol hope you get to see them someday!

Allen IS awesome. Ive heard stories about him not hitting the notes live, but I saw them 2 weeks ago, and he was PERFECT! I saw Kamelot too and it was like a RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE haha.

really any tracks from the divine wings or damnation game, twilight is also an awesome album... I noticed there isn't too much from the damnation game on youtube, I bet a lot of symphony x geeks like myself would really dig having more of that album on here. thanks man ;)

Pretty much any hardcore Symphony X fan you ask will say The Divine Wings Of Tragedy and I would say the same. It's a really great album, my favorite one from Symphony X. Twilight In Olympus is a good second runner up, fallowed by The Damnation Game and then their debut. You should definitely try to get a hold of The Divine Wings Of Tragedy, it's pretty much considered to be their masterpiece. If you get a hold of it let me know what you think. Happy listening!

One of my favorite Symphony X epics. Russell Allen is an amazing singer. I am an aspiring singer and my dream is to develop a style like Russell's and to share a stage with him. But overall the band is just gifted with amazing music ability. \m/ \m/ I'm a sucker for bands who know how to play their instruments and play them extremely well, and that for me, is bands like Symphony X, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Kamelot, and etc. \m/ \m/ \m/

Cool, I'm glad you dug it. V is a good album, my favorite of their later three. In my opinion, the music is kinda poor in some places but overall it's pretty good. The story is the strong point of the album, check out their website and you can read about it, it's pretty sweet. anyway, rock on. \m/

@fecovzla: really? people say that? i can't imagine how one would think that - those bands are so different. i like them both although I lost track of Symphony X since the "5" album.. But this song is so great and reminds me of good old times :) and you're right about the singer!

What are the lyrics at: The final answer she seeks ???? to be crowned queen? It really doesn't sound like "With the three" as all lyrics says and the Twilight In Olympus album book.

Its all subjective. I respect both guitarists. My personal preference is Romeo, because for me he plays with more soul and feel. His solo on Dawn of a Million Souls is amongst the best I've heard.

Guys, quit arguing about Dream Theater and Symphony X, I'm getting kind of tired of people comparing them. On a completely unrelated, I'm pretty sure Symphony X have done something like 4:24 in like five other songs. Does anyone hear it?

@redelexa1 Yea, because a descending keyboard intro in Dsus4 is such a rare ocurrence. Not to mention Surrounded's in Esus4, if I recall correctly. And, it's 4/4, TTLG is 5/4. Just saying.

funny you see it that way ~ Petrucci is well known to write solos he can't play, and then practice them until he can as a way of challenging himself. Which is all well and good but if I had to choose between them, I'd go with Romeo without a second thought. Malmsteen was an Idol of mine, when I was 15 ~ he is EXTREMELY stale an formulaic. They BOTH blow him out of the water ~ but again, thats just my opinion

Yea man. If you like this kind of stuff, you should check out the bands that LastSunrise1981 Listed. They are all awesome. There is a lot of good metal like this out there but you just have to look!

I was there, in worcester mass at the palladium? Yeah. The drummer and the bassist(Don't know there names. :() were both great. Russel was good but could've done more games with the crowd and whatnot. And Pinnella and Romeo? They sort of sucked. They didn't play anywhere near there full level of skill and pinnella looked like he would kill to get off stage.IMO And what was with there setlist? All ten PL songs. Inferno, King of terrors, Sins, Church of the machine and that was it? Seriously?

@snufkin789 Im not defending DT at all.I was talking abt Petrucci. Romeo is technically better than him but Petrucci is a more versatile musician. Romeo simply has not done anything much other than neo-classical music(hes very gud at that tho). Personally, i think SX writes better songs right now but Images & Words, Awake, SDOIT are far better than SX work imo. Ultimately its opinion. If u like crazy time signatures and complex compositions its DT. CBetter melodies its SX

@BenMc1981 At least read what i wrote. Im NOT new to prog metal. I ACTALLY LIKE SX. Michael Romeo is a brilliant guitarist. In terms of technique, he seems to be better than JP. Im not a big fan of Disturbed. Michael Romeo is amazing within the context of SX. But his solo album was not that good imo.

@victor1eremita Michael Romeo and Pinnella do it far more than Petrucci and Rudess. poor comparison. Have you even heard LTE, Suspended Animation or An Evening with John Petrucci and Jordan Rudess. Romeo could never compose like that. Romeo just plays neo-classical solos. Petrucci is extremely versatile. Petrucci uses far more interesting chord progressions and is a better rhythm player. Not to mention a far better improviser. Please dont make ridiculous assumptions such as im new to prog metal
