Great review man! Just wondering, I am really interested in using these cameras with the red dot to improve my shooting. Is the 6.0 able to sight in the red dot?
Thank you! Please subscribe to help us reach more people! I’ve never used them with a red dot, but I have always sighted in my scopes before adding the tactacam. It would help to see your point of impact to improve your performance. There is a slowmo feature as well.
I have to agree with others who have commented. The 5.0 seems more clear in your video. I don’t know if in person they look different and i did see your response to others so maybe that’s the case. The other thing I’ve noticed is that the vibration on the 5.0 seems less than the 6.0. I don’t know if that’s because of the mount? You did mention the stabilization being better on the 6.0 but it does not come across that way in this video especially as you are using your tripod. Have you tried the same test without a tripod?
Thanks for the comment! I did not try it without the tripod. That may help! I am excited to try the 6.0 in the woods soon. Chris will be using the 5.0 on his compound and I will have the 6.0 on my crossbow. We just had a newborn, so I haven’t been in the woods yet! I have the 6.0. Its my first tactacam. That being said, the 5 looked better in your demo. The screen is nice. Play back and instant access on your phone. Not sure its worth the extra $
I replied this to the other person who commented the same thing: I thought the same myself at first, but if you look close, the 6.0 shows higher detail when looking at the trees and other landscape. I believe if you adjusted the exposure on the 6.0 to bring the color to life it would be a more noticeable difference. Thanks for watching! @@reviveoutdoors4him I will go ahead and subscribe. I would like to see a video on adjusting the 6.0 color. I have it mounted to my crossbow and it is very light weight. I harvested alot of deer last year using the lil bow peep oracle 2. I changed optics this year after missing 2 big bucks and a turkey. That oracle just can not handle being jostled on forest roads. I went with the burris omega x. The down side is it doesnt record like the oracle does. Hence the reason I picked up the 6.0. Thanks for your reply. I should have read the other comments, I was just raised not to ease drop lol.
@@JohnGreyman haha that’s a good way to be raised lol You will see plenty of 6.0 footage this year in the woods. I have the 6:0 on my crossbow and Chris (from our Big Daddy episode) has the 5.0 on his compound. Thank you for subscribing!
You said you should use the SD card the manufacturer recommends. You are using 256 GB but the Tactacam on the website FAQ recommends 32 or 64. Am I mistaken? Also, when charging the battery, does the red light change to green when charged? I had mine on the charger all night. Light is still red. Thank you. Good video.
Hey Jeff, Yes sir, they say to use a smalled capacity sd card but I have use that specific 256gb card and have not experienced any issues since I already had it on hand. I believe that is correct, the light changes color or goes off, but the best way to test it to turn the tactacam on and see what the battery life is reflecting.
Do you think they will come out with a fts mount for the 6.0? It's the only reason I am wanting this camera. So now I'm stuck on should I buy the 5.0 or just hope it happens and get the 6.0.
What is the real-world battery life like on the 6.0? The 4.0 is great... the 5.0 is horrible! What has been your experience in these last few months with the new 6.0 battery life?
The 6.0 battery life is insane! I ran it all deer season, an all day pheasant hunt and have now turkey hunted with it and still haven’t charged it and its still at 85-90%
I thought the same myself at first, but if you look close, the 6.0 shows higher detail when looking at the trees and other landscape. I believe if you adjusted the exposure on the 6.0 to bring the color to life it would be a more noticeable difference.
