I am the mother of these two fine, Christian people. I am crying right now as I think of how much they both love Jehovah and Jesus and each other. I thank so many of you who included kind thoughts about Ali's brother...my son.
I really wish that you do not shun this obviously nice lady. My shunning by my Jehovah's witness parents is doing very much psychological damage every single day. They are elderly, about to pass and I have to check the obituaries every week to see if they pass . This is no way to treat family. It is very unlike Jesus Christ, the only one who we should follow. I am not disfellowshiped because I am a pedophile a murderer or a their, or such. I am disfellowshiped because I researched both sides of the coin about the Jehovah's witnesses organization. I could not in good spiritual concience follow this religion. Please don't damage your daughter. You have no idea how much pain this shunning causes. Love her as you want Jesus Christ to love you. Our Bible says that Jesus Christ will judge us as we forgiven others. Be careful this shunning is not right. Jesus Christ is watching.

My JW sister barely talks to me. She told me she wants me to stop telling people I was ever a Witness. Then she and her husband blocked me on Facebook saying she would see if I change. She offered to help clean my house and tried to take all my books and tried to give me a Bible. I just can't be anything other than me or what has this all been about? They never can be themselves if they think it could get them in trouble. Then they say, "make the truth your own" and "serve out of a pure heart" and with integrity. I think it's mentally unhealthy to try and sacrifice who you are and give up your family for a lie. Your brother is serving a lie. He doesn't care what the truth is if it goes against "the current understanding "even if it hurts people and calls it the truth. I think that's sad. All for Nothing!! I understand that knowing that doesn't make the pain stop. There's always going to be that spot in your heart for him.
Sister Ali, Thanks so much for your kindness and for the video you posted after the Watchtower study. In my opinion, you were NOT a bulldog. You displayed the love and kindness of our Lord Jesus! Unfortunately the elders sounded just like the Pharisees to me. I was a "born in" JW as well. I left at 18 years of age (wasn't baptized) then married my, "born in" wife at age 20. I went back to the org at 29 years of age and my wife and I were baptized on the same day in 1996. I quickly became a servant and an elder. Fast forward 10 years from baptism and I had to leave. Too many doctrinal problems in the org. (No blood, disfellowshipping, 2 "classes" of Christians, Faithful slave understanding) I could go on... Anyway, I resigned as an elder in 2006 and stopped going to the KH. I disassociated myself in 2009. My dear wife now of 32 years remains a faithful JW and is a really good example for the congregation. She knows I have a ministry witnessing to JW's and another ministry as well. Even so, we are doing very well by the grace of God! We are actually closer now then when I was an elder. I believe that this is because I am completely honest about what I think and believe and I do not have to veil my beliefs due to organizational policies. Even so, she does not want to have spiritual conversations. I respect that as you do with your family. However, once in a while something will come up. I just wanted to encourage you and say, I'm thrilled that you still believe in Jehovah and His begotten Son! So many completely lose it when this happens. On some level I do understand this. I hope you don't mind, but I will be praying for you and for this ministry you have in reaching out to other JW's, and for your family that their hearts may soften. I agree with you, JW's are lovely people! I love them very much! While I appreciate quite a few other ex-JW ministries, I think there is a need for more kind/loving ministries like yours to show that not all "apostates" are as categorized by the org. This is probably about the most painful video I've watched. My two siblings are disfellowshipped and I did shun them for years. Now I'm awake and trying to repair my relationship with them. In the meantime other family is pulling away from me. But its my parents who I refuse to loose, but your pain is what I fear I may end up feeling if they choose to not open their eyes, hearts and minds. I'm so scared but I cannot keep quiet either!! Hugs!!! I feel u, friend. I went through a very similar thing, tho my brother isn’t an elder. He’s inactive, actually, but he knew that me speaking out would cause a separation in our family and he wanted to preserve us. But like you said, this does beyond our family. This is much bigger. It's an unspoken understanding in my husband's JW family that we Ex-JW's are spoken to, only on an "as necessary basis"(ie: family illness). We are greeted with fake smiles and brief greetings. We are excluded from all other family events and gatherings. IT'S THE HUGE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM THAT NO ONE TALKS ABOUT OR WILL EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE IS THERE... Though, my husband's unbaptized family members are acceptable for his JW family members to associate with, even though they want nothing to do with the religion, and were raised in the JW environment... It's pathetic, so I stay away from, even the "as necessary basis" as much as possible.... I'm sorry for your pain.. .🥀

When the truth is revealed, I will be there with open arms for them as well as friends that shunned me because of this demonic cult. Your brother will need your support when he finally awakens. All I continue to hear is the sister I studied with reassuring me that we Jehovah's organization doesn't break up families and yet it has destroyed mine growing up and if that wasn't enough I still joined them and almost destroyed my own marriage and our children's lives. So glad I woke up but I still regret the pain and confusion I caused my current husband and children for the four years I was in. I'm so glad my husband refused to join. I now have my father who has an inclination I left that the spirit in my home is tarnished and not the same. On the contrary father since I left the cult my life has been so much better and my depression and anxiety has subsided tremendously.
Your brother told you to be quiet may indicate that he may have his doubts but doesn't want to loose his position in the organization and for him to ask of you to be quiet is unreasonable. You are so brave. All you can do about your brother and anyone like him is pray for them to come to Christ. No freedom in the WT cult.

Ali, oh my goodness 😢, I’m so sorry. Please know that you are not alone. Most of your listeners are here for you, whether 50 minutes south like this writer, or thousands of miles across the world. The hurt that this religion has caused is so real and so ugly. Truth is important to many of us who have withdrawn our support; sadly truth is not paramount to them, but primarily compliance. Ali, based on your kind words about the people still embedded in that religion, you come across as having a heart of gold. I’d suggest strongly that you protect that heart and avoid traumatizing yourself like this. I was tempted to go today too, but I became physically sick anticipating sitting in the midst of so much negativity, untruth and judgment. Ali, I am so sorry. Thank you for sharing. The wounds go deep and it hurts to loose ones family. 45 years ago, after being a pioneer and devoted witness from In Ohio I was disfellowshipped for being disobedient given my parents reporting for smoking cigarettes and they thought I might be gay. They smoked all my life and the summer JWs came out with no smoking policy, I had been sent away at 17, to babysit my pagan cousins, to get rid of me because I started asking questions that made people uncomfortable. My mother was not healthy mentally so it was a relief not to but subjected 24/7 mood swings. I discovered life outside of the witnesses, i indeed did start casually smoking. My parents still smoking reported me. It was a distraction and a cover up for the child abuse they subjected me to and made unfounded allegations about my sexual orientation. I had no idea about being gay as we were all very sexually stunted. The brothers and sisters witnessed child abuse for years, did nothing to stop it, except the caring sisters, that had little voice, would come to take me out on service to get me out of the house. I was grateful to them and as a result of their kindness and live, I decided to go to Bethel after graduation, ergo the 2 summers of pioneering, awaiting the end of world in 75. I was shocked that I was so summarily shunned and quickly, without probation, was disfellowshipped and removed out of community with my parents kicking me out in the middle of my senior year. It was a devastating time. I felt betrayed, abandoned and rejected. I was determined to succeed and out of defiance joined the military and entered college. I eventually found an amazing life outside and other like minded god-loving not god-fearing people in supportive and non cultish community. However, Several years ago, after 40 yrs, living in a California, I opened the door as a kind, open JW lady and her sister spoke with me. She brought the next day some elder brothers back with her. They tried to recruit me. They were impressed with my immediate recall of the Bible and said what an asset I could be to Jehovahs organization. Working me and I was almost enticed and thought maybe they had evolved since my teens. I then shared my disfellowshipped experience. They said it I could not come back unless I went through the reinstatement process. It didn’t matter I had been wronged and simply said something about that would not happen today and about imperfect men at the time. It was an ongoing conversation over the course if several visits. They had done their research from my old congregation, confirming what I had shared. However, I still would need to go through the reinstatement process, but they would expedite it given the time and my side of story. I had prayed if they reinstated me without having to walk there hall of shame, then it was meant to be, if not, stay away and operate from Love and serve within my Current Spiritual Community. I was so disappointed and it unearthed all my childhood pain and was livid. My father abused me emotionally, mentally, physically and sexually and me being the secondary sex, was dismissed again. Ironically my father was going through the process of reinstatement as he was disfellowshipped for smoking several years after me, as well as each of my siblings. They welcomed him back and enticed him with their interpretation that he’d see our recently departed mother as she had never been disfellowshipped. But not because she committed no indiscretions but she had such a vitriolic personality that kept the brothers at bay. I told the brothers in this later congregation all about what I had grown up with privately that was never allowed to be told as a youth cuz I was just an angry kid that Satan had gotten too and my father never told them about his abusive past and yes, they welcomed him back in. Sadly he is a lonely gullible almost 85 yr old, going out in service 2x weekly captive to their Brainwashing and now accompanied by my brother who too lost his wife and he too was reinstated. Both of them arrogant about this being the Truth m, the only truth their truth. They professed they were walking the narrow path and would be on the right side of Armageddon, living in Paradise with their now deceased wives. Once again, given I wasn’t going to succumb to their guilt induced biblical based reasoning, and refused to go through the reinstatement process and being told I needed to forgive and surrender rather than reject Jehovahs beckoning me and accusing me of being unwilling to be humble, they’ve made me to be the outcast and continue to judge and shun me. My father cannot see the loving woman I have been for the past 45 years and still views me as a rebellious teenager and my brother the revered one. They sound just like those brothers in your 17 minute RU-vid. Circuitous reasoning but no critical thinking only what the Soceity or the Elders say. Even though it was painful 46 years ago, with the help of individual and group therapy and internal work, I have healed many of the scars and wounds of the ignored child abuse, mental, emotional and spiritual misuse and rejection.by this very incongruent organization that says they are loving but are run by a group of old white guys who rule by oppression, misinterpreted biblical scripture to justify their archaic and outdated laws, with no accountability . I am so grateful I have had the opportunity to make a choice and use my mind to Love God outside all this programmed rhetoric and be a witness to and of Love. I wanted revenge and restitution for all the harm, isolation and abandonment I felt. The witness coming to my house was a blessing. I was able to stand up for myself, speak my Truth and they heard me. I had found a deep peace and I know they know and are choosing to ignore. I do not have to hold them or me hostage to the past. I am not the judge or jury. They will have to reckon with Jehovah. I know the Truth and it has set me free! Thank you for allowing me the space to share this publicly. It’s another level of healing. Diana, After reading your oppressive life summary , I am moved with deep emotion. Praise Jesus that you are now able to walk as an overcomer and standup with confidence to those who once whose theology once crushed you. Our Amighty Father turned those ashes into beauty. Though I was never a jw, I have family that got sucked into it, so I see the perversion of the false gospel that is void of love, mercy and grace. Remember, human resource agents act only in the best interests of the company. Elders search out any who are not loyal to the company, and those who are not actively supporting the policies and mission; as well as, individuals who are not reaching established goals within the corporation. All of these individuals threaten the profitability and outward reputation of of the company, and may affect others in the organization. When individuals inside of the organization/corporation have learned of hypocritical actions, deceitful policies, or lies regarding the actions of representatives of corporation, departments or heads of the corporation (Governing Body) and begin exposing these... Elders (human resource agents of the Watchtower ) are assigned to eliminate or lessen the effects of "whistle blowers" by labeling them "apostates". Once they identify an individual as a "whistle blower" they follow well established company rules and actively pursue any threat that may expose secretive practices, hypocrisy, or harmful or illegal actions that may impact company's profitability. Elders follow corporation guidelines set forth in the exclusive manual for elders, entitled: "Shepherd the Flock of God" published by the WTBTS. 1. To become informed as to the level of knowledge and information a potential whistle blower possesses. 2. Have a formal meeting (Judicial Committee hearing) with them to ascertain the level of dissent or waning support for the organization and threat they pose to the corporation. 3. Formally put the whistle blower on notice their actions constitute disloyalty to the corporation and they will be "fired" from the company losing all benefits and any ties to other members of the corporation. 4. During a congregation meeting ( regularly scheduled corporation workshop) announce the "firing" of those who have failed to follow corporate rules.
That's a good summary of how it actually goes down. I don't think it started with Raymond Franz, Ed Dunlap, and Rene Vasquez. But it certainly has picked up the pace.
You and what you're doing is amazing. I'd rather be sorry to my brother than be sorry to God and Jesus. I also left behind my little brother who's an elder. He is such a good man. He loves what he's doing, he loves the congregation and his wife and children, he loves Jehovah. But I also know that even though he doesn't speak to me, he loves and misses me and I love and miss him! Your brother loves you too, and it is unlikely to change!!

The only people who care about JW policy and procedures are JWs. The outside world could care less about two witnesses -elders -legal dept etc. The policies and procedures of JW not only put others in the congo at risk, but also the remainder of the public. Call the police already. It literally should be step 1. Get these victims away from the abuser and then get the victims help. In our local community so many school teachers and aides have been arrested for not following up on reports they gave to higher ups, because they are mandatory reporters. How would community feel if they knew JWs are harboring a secret list of 1000s of predators. You did the right thing. I am amazed at your strength

I'm very proud of you ! My name is Debbie. I've been out since '97 and I left with no support, ( which took a very big toll on me. I'll tell you sometime.) I was asked by my doctor if I wanted to get in touch with ex witnesses. I was shocked and my face showed fear as I said no wag. But now 22 years later, I find that I love these fellow throw awas. You have to pray for your brother and I mean really pray!! Drop seeds on him as often as you can and continue to show him love more than ever before. Don’t be afraid trust God and he will do the rest. I did this and my son is a PIMO, as a matter of fact he called me today to tell me to take a look at the study article on child abuse. He told me he cringed during entire study. We discussed the article by addressing the ARC the law suits, the loss of members and the lies the society is continually spewing to retain and members His eyes are wide open because I’ve prayed and the Lord heard me. It took over 10 years but he now sees the real truth about the so called truth. God bless you and stay encouraged.

I truly appreciate you and that you have taken a stand against evil men. I am not disfellowshipped, and I was baptized in 1969, I came in in 1966, so I have been around this organization for along time. But about 5 or 6 years ago, I came across the same information we all have since then, and I was shocked. I cannot attend another meeting until this evil mess is cleaned up. Not only that exposed by the Australian Royal Commission, but all of the investment portfolios as well. How dare the brothers, take money out of the collection box, and instead of advancing kingdom interest, they are financing weapons of war, Chemtrails, Monsanto which is poisoning this entire earth, pornography, banking industries, derivatives, tobacco products, gossip publications, and more. We preach everlasting life and a paradise earth at the doors, but at the very same time are financing the genocide of all humanity, and the annihilation of all living things on this earth. We are the biggest hypocrites the world has ever seen, we make the Scribes and the Pharisees look like saints, at least they weren't trying to kill every living thing on this planet. Keep your faith, what is going on is the weeds, the man of lawlessness, the apostasy, has crept in, exactly like Christ said it would, we are witnessing it happen right now. I know your pain... Lost every person I ever knew. You are doing the right thing... You are shining your light for the world to see. We speak the truth but they will not hear it, we speak the words of Christ but they do not recognize it. We reason with the Pharisees (Elders) and they cast us out of the synagog of Satan.

I couldn't be quiet. I was kicked out 15 years ago for apostasy! I wanted answers. Unfortunately I lost my family, broken marriage and children completely shun me. If they can't hear the truth about the "truth" it's their problem, not ours.

Lady: Ex-pioneer, ministerial servant since the early 90s here. I wrote a letter and simply stated that the religion was an anathema to me now. I used that word deliberately. You are absolutely not alone though the isolation may be crushing right now.

Thank you for standing up for children who cannot protect themselves. There is a young woman on youtube named "Bravely Taylor". Her father, a J.W. elder, sexually abused Taylor and her younger sister, impregnating her younger sister. She made videos documenting what J.W. process, the elder meetings, etc.

Hey Ali. It's my first time seeing one of your videos. I feel very encouraged by your example. It is actually cowardly to remain silent when there is hypocrisy and injustice. It is courageous when you speak up in a respectful but firm way. Unfortunately the org doesn't have the correct definition of humility and so they label you as "lacking humility" if you speak up when something serious is wrong. After having been an elder for many years and serving in Bethel and then re-examining what I was taught, just like you I found that was stated to the public was much different than what really went on. It's all about the org keeping a good appearance. If it was about upholding God's name, then justice and the victim would come first, not the organization's name. I'm fortunate that Christ called me...and he called me to leave the org because the spirit would not allow my spirit to rest if I in any way supported an organization that was hypocritical, putting themselves in Christ's position as leader and mediator, and downtrodding those that ask honest questions or that make mistakes. Your example has encouraged me to start making some vlogs in the future... just to speak my mind openly in a respectful way. My road has been painful as yours because I still have feelings even for those that would reject me. And on top of that, many of the uplifting things I've discovered in the scriptures still remain hidden from them, so I feel quite sorry for them. Please know that many that leave the org still love God, and some of them go on further to have a personal relationship with Christ which is what should be the goal of every Christian. It would be a sad thing if you let the pain to cause any resentment to take root. Worse if you were to distance yourself from our Father and his beloved son because of what men do. Pray for the strength to show love under these circumstances. It will first of all protect YOU and will give you inner peace as you please Christ in your dealings with others. Beg for joy in the spirit and it can lift your spirits even when all alone. And remember you are not alone. Every day lovers of God and Christ leave this organization that would have you believe you need them to be saved. The Bible never once states that association with an organization saves. Yet it states 100's of times that our faith and relationship with Christ saves. That's Biblical! I said to my father recently: I would rather have only Christ, than to have the leadership of imperfect men and millions of so called friends and not have Christ. God bless Ali. Ps. Good for you. You mentioned a video you haven't posted yet doesn't have good sound quality. Do you use Premiere Pro as your editing software? There are some ways you can try and get rid of the background noise. If you go to RU-vid channel Video Revealed, Colin has a couple of videos on how to help. The easiest way is to go to your Effects, click on Audio Effects and then click Balanced Female Voice. This has really helped me. It also helps when you want to get rid of wind noise. Awaking, staying awake and moving away from bondage and into authenticity is full of letting go of what was once our reality. Hearing you today AND listening to fellow JDubs means the world to me. Yes, it’s testimonies like yours that shows me the cruelty and stone hearts they really are. I’m so sorry you are feeling so hurt, especially reflecting on your relationship with your brother. I'm so sorry Babi Gurl! I cried with ya too! But it has been an extra tough day for me and inevitable. I will pray that they see how stupid their actions are. It is like death and they don't grieve. Does that make them pyschopaths?
The problem is we are all imperfect, all humans, elders and all, even when we all try to be better, but yes it will all be fixed one day! Just as Jesus said to his followers, this wicked world will be done away with!

Thank you for sharing that. If you read on in 1 Cor 1:10, the divisions were referring to people saying they were followers of men other than Jesus. Jesus is the one who was impaled, not anybody else. The JWs are followers of the governing body and do whatever they are told by them. The JWs do not follow Jesus and his instructions during the Passover “keep on doing these things in remembrance of me”. Also John 3, Jesus tells all people to be “born again of water and spirit.”

I feel for, you,my brother was an elder and when I woke up ,he told me to fade away in other words stay quiet ,i could nt do that i told and showed him everthing i found out .Of cours he had an answer for eveything from wstchtower, ,,, now he does not comunicate with me,so ssd
You are so right on everything you have said!!!!!! I was a witness for three years I couldn’t get over how weak minded everybody in the congregation was nobody ever thought for themselves. The fear, guilt, and shame week after week nobody could ever do enough for the ELDERS, I finally had enough got disfellowshipped and proud of it left and never looked back.
my heart goes to you Sister while you speak about the cold treatment of your former closest friend and family members, I've through that stage too,but serving the Lord in spirit and truth is worth all the pain of being shunned, i'm not yet disassociated and never disciplined but it will happen soon,in all the 15 that i'm fading away I've done my best to slowly and patiently awaken my family members and few friends and happily my efforts is paying well,just last night I have convinced my mother- in- law to finally accept blood transfusion to save her life, so we can look for day when our family will be awaken at last
