DARE. Head Coach Luke Walker takes us through the set-up and execution of the Chin-Up
Cues for the execution of the Chin-up:
- Select appropriate grip. Either supinated, neutral or pronated.
- Start the exercise with arms fully extended.
- Brace your core.
- Engage your lats by pulling your shoulder blades back and down.
- Use your back musculature to drive your body upwards towards the bar while keeping your chest up and shoulders back and down.
- Don't round at the top.
- Lower your body with control using the required tempo.
You can add a resistance band under your feet for an assisted chin-up.
