Arin's absolutely right. That's what turtles (particularly tortoises) sound like when they're mating. Some people that used to live on my grandparents' street had a couple of desert tortoises. It's warm enough here in Yuma that you can keep them outside year-round, and theirs were fenced up in the front yard for all the world to see... so you can obviously see where this is going, I caught them in the throws of activity once or twice. What was hilarious about it was not what they were doing, but the fact that the sound of their shells knocking together sounded EXACTLY like you'd expect it to sound: two coconut shells slowly being clapped together, Monty Python-style. It was like there was a cartoon foley artist hiding in the bushes somewhere nearby.

Has anyone noticed how the cast shadows under the fighters keep switching? Like as if the game could only handle on cast shadow and has to constantly decide which fighter deserves a shadow lol

To answer Jon/Arin's inquiry about whether or not "the original Japanese Power Rangers" AKA the Super Sentai, came before the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The first incarnation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was released in comic book form in 1984. The first ever Super Sentai Series, which, Power Rangers is adapted and localized from, which is Himitsu Sentai Goranger, was released in 1975. However Goranger wasn't the first Sentai to be adapted into Power Ranger history, that was Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger/Dinosaur Squadron Zyuranger, which was made in 1992, which was localized/edited/adapted into the first season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Footage from Season 2 with the Thunderzords & Season 3 with the Ninjazords came from Dairanger & Kakuranger respectively, though the costumes from Zyuranger were used for all three Seasons; the Dairanger costumes were never used except for Tommy Oliver's White Ranger outfit, who was originally known as KibaRanger in Dairanger. The Kakuranger Costumes were used, but they weren't the Rangers from the past three Seasons; they were "Alien" Rangers in the 13 Episode Mini Series bridging the gap from MMPR to its sequel, Power Rangers Zeo; which is the adaptation of Chouriki Sentai Ohranger. Also, DragonRanger Burai (Tommy Oliver's Japanese counterpart) dies within the course of Zyuranger. I'm guessing the reason this was changed is because alot of the Sentai footage is dumbed down for American kids (the ever popular pussyification of our children to where we believe/raise them not to be able to deal with bad situations, and sugarcoat things like death.) Himitsu Sentai Goranger, the first of the Sentai Series, came out nine years before the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers came out in 1993, a year later after its original Japanese counterpart Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger. So Super Sentai is actually older then TMNT, but TMNT is older then "Power Rangers" History; since that only started to be adapted/localized outside Japan in 1993 as a different show altogether, even if there are similarities in some plotlines. As to whether or not the Foot Soldiers or "Puddies" came first....that's a bit different. Even though Super Sentai is older then TMNT but TMNT is "older" then Power Rangers (in terms of localization, since Power Rangers only started localizing outside of Japan in 1993 when Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had been around since 1984) technically the Foot Soldiers DID come before the Puddies, for both MMPR & Zyuranger. Zyurangers "Putties" were called Golems because they were made out clay and they were changed to "Putties" in America. I'm not sure what the name change was for, but I've always personally speculated it's because the material "Silly Putty" was popular in the earler 90's. Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger's Golems were 1992, and MMPR's Putties were 1993. Though the Foot Soldiers had been around since the 1984 comics, so even though the Super Sentai, the original Japanese source for the footage of the Power Rangers, is older then TMNT, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles came before MMPR & Zyuranger in 1992/1993; effectively making the Foot Soldiers "come first." Finally, for current series history: Super Sentai: 1975-Present Power Rangers: 1993-Present TMNT: 1984-Present Super Sentai is older then Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is older then Power Rangers. Done and dusted. Kenpachi Ramasama, out.

I actually really like this game. It's not AS good as Street Fighter, but it plays almost exactly the same. The only real difference is the characters. If you like Ninja Turtles and Street Fighter, there's really no reason to dislike this game.

If anyone Cares. TECHNICALLY the original Super Sentai Series: Himitsu Sentai Gorenger is about 8 years older than the Mirage Comics Original TMNT Comics.. So In general term the 'Power Rangers' brand is older BUT. Presumably Jon and Arin didn't have any knowledge of the first 15 super sentai series of japan, So in that Aspect. Arin is right as far as american pop culture goes. Foot Soldiers did the whole easily breakable mass produced minion thing before MMPR's Puddies.
