A 14-year-old boy was fatally shot in Seattle's NewHolly neighborhood Thursday evening.
Police said shortly after 8 p.m., they received a call of a shooting that occurred in the 7400 block of Rockery Dr. S.
When officers arrived, they found a 14-year-old boy who suffered a gunshot wound on the sidewalk. Seattle police said they provided him aid until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived.

The victim had no relation to gangs or anything. Wrong place and wrong time. Apparently, kids that killed him were practicing and chose that victim. That's what i heard. Anyways, this neighborhood is actually terrifying at times, especially the summers.

You could offer me a million dollars a year, I would never work for SPD. Those officers can’t come close to enforcing the law. They are sitting ducks. They can’t touch the homeless, they can’t catch the juveniles and they definitely can’t catch the hard criminals. I’ve watched it for 40 years. I worked downtown Seattle as a teenager parking cars in old dungeon basements. Then I became an express delivery driver in the heart of Seattle and throughout the great Seattle area. I grew up here and I loved the Evergreen State until the last 10 years. It all went to sh*t. The last two mayors, cowards! They created this monster. It’s one of the worst police departments! I feel for the officers who are not allowed to do their job because of the Seattle city Council. If you are interested in law enforcement go somewhere else.

My question, was the teen a gang member? Into drugs, selling drugs? Those are the questions!! If he’s in a gang or beefing with gangs he died like most gang members do! If he is a poor innocent child, his murders must be brought to justice! So sick of hearing this, “poor innocent boy” to find out he’s a gun carrying menace to society
