+Adam Haskell For me it's a matter of getting used to. Thankfully, Jin's overall (poking) gameplay hasn't changed one bit. Generally, I love the new "bound" system, it provides something fresh to the gameplay and is a great continuation of the already existing idea of comboing the opponent while they are mid air.

I pick Jin as my main when I first played Tekken and within 5 months I got a good grasp of how he plays. All I need now is to get a grip of his frame data and knowing what are his best punishments for different moves.

i mean his fighting style completely changed. maybe you try devil jin, if you liked old T3 jin. cause he doesnt use the mishima fighting style in modern tekken anymore.

I haven't played in a while, am going to again because Geese got leese-d lol, but there should be no problem with doing a 4 after the EWHF, unless there's a new wonky hitbox for Jin. One can't even do a guaranteed d2 after a 123 at the wall smh. But ya, unless its been messed with in a patch or something, I guess its just a matter of hitting the 4 fast enough. The first combo actually starts with cd1 and then it's cd2. The combo is correct, i just double checked :-P

1. You should immediately do ewhf after landing the first move 2. The character you are against could play a role here (e.g agaimst smaller characters like xiao you might not consistenly land it) 3. Try to do bf 2/3 f 3 instead of b3

ignore prodigy's comment, you just need to lab out the combos for a couple hours. I did the same. No one can inherently pick up a game like tekken and instantly pick up combos. If they say that they can then just disregard anything they say after because they most likely are trash.

The notation used is universal, so it doesn'matter if you use an xbox, playstation or another 3rd part controller or arcade stick. The notation that is used is explained at tekkenzaibatsu, it is mentioned aftr every combo. Look it up. The only thing you need to know is which button on your controller correllates with which attacks, so what is left punch(1), right punch(2), left kick(3), right kick(4) on your controller? It doesn't matter if square=1, triangle=2 etc Don't look at the buttons, look at the attacks that are referenced.

You just have to dash in deep enough. Dont rush it. Get a good dash in and do the b3.

I figured it out. Trick is after inputting sweep during the animation to already start bf3. Thanks for the combos

b3 b3~f b3~f has a larger hitbox. thats why you can hit enemies with 2 hits of b3. if you do b3

do B3 not b3. easier to land b3~f zen 1,2

Stelio Macumbe gigas and jack have different hitboxes try and find something else that works for them

CharlesDotX it just says cd1 but there is actually an electric cd1 that is a frame faster and has better recovery maybe that’s why your problem is. You do the electric cd 1 same as electric hook fist you’ll know you did it when you see the elctricity

The combo extender that sends them flying. Also known as tailspin. You can identify them in the move list via a green tornado icon.

@@fleskis713 yes it does work but since season 2 it has a weird hit box on certain characters like i can hit it on pandas and heihachis but it refuses to connect on kings and some others

It actually is very possible on a controller, it just takes practice. You'll get there dude, don't give up :-)

1. no difference in launch 2. only the property of cd+1 >cd+1 is faster to recover 3. im a pad user. and this isnt impossible 4. just play hours of practice mode and youll get it consistently

You have to dash in very deep in order to get the combo properly. :-)

Well what I experienced, was that unless you press forward after (meanwhile) your second b3 is happening it wont connect. You can check it press b3 b3 plainly then press b3, b3+f. I was like deeeeemn some blek magic is goin on here

Low parry, you hold DF (down-forward) toward your opponent and it only works on lows. The parry timing window is about half a second if you weren't holding forward or down already (doing parry from neutral). If you let go of DF too soon the parry won't work.

wow, this game man, so challenging makes me exciting for the stuff that i can do, but in other perspective 0.5 sec window :D is scary. ton of moves has very little windows, guess it is time to buy an arcade stick :). Thank you for your reply :)

go to the settings in practice mode. find the option that shows the recovery of your character. do cd+1. you'll see that jin is highlighted in blue. when you see the blue disappearing, thats when you do cd+2

Well you need to know how to electrics and crouch dashing if you want to play a mishima

I mean, if you cant do an electric theres really no point in playing mishimas including jin. You gotta just practice, take ur time, and if it still doesnt work for you, go for a non-mishima character

Austin Hays CDS is Crouching Demon Stance, or d3+4 (Edit: this is also the stance that comes out after b3~f, etc)
