The fact that these girls look pretty & people calling them ugly just shows how, people can still be jerks to you no matter what, it’s so sad that they got bullied for how they looked, they all seemed pretty nice/sweet & nice to hangout with or be friends with. One thing I learned is that you can be a nice, sweet, and considerate person, but someone will hate you. It may not even actually be you. They can just be projecting themselves onto you. They either see a trait in you that they don’t like in themselves, or be jealous that you have a characteristic that they want to emulate but cannot b/c they’re holding themselves back out of either fear or insecurity. Point of the story: don’t look for others for love or validation. You’re giving them too much power over you. Give it to yourself first, b/c you’re the one that can control yourself.

One time was crying and someone said “wow you’re actually pretty when you cry” and when I was in “boarding school” everyone saw my sister and they were like oh my gosh she looks like a model! Who is she? And when I said she was my sister they didn’t believe me. They also told me I’d be a virgin forever and I heard them talking about how hideous I am behind my back. Ok so I was walking home and I was going to cross the street, but before I could a car passed by and screamed “Your Ugly!” This happened when I was in middle school 😖 Yet I remember being dressed up in sweats and a T-shirt taking the bus back home this really handsome dude stopped me before getting off (like straight out of a movie) and looked into my eyes 👀 and told me “Hey I just wanted to tell you that you’re beautiful” Guys I was so young and shy. 😳🙈 I just said thank you and got off the bus right away. I regret not getting his number 😩 Till this day I don’t know if I am pretty or not, but I just know I love myself and accept everything that I am. ☺️🥰

Everyone my whole life told me I am drop dead gorgeous. I never believed that. Still don't. And every once in a while, is always girls in a pair, have to bring it up how ugly i am, had guys tell me growing up i was too ugly to date they took bets. As an adult I am told they was just gay or whatever. But idk, people have opinions. But I mostly noticed that girls that are jealous will point out it and all your flaws to make themselves feel better. Immature men do too.

When I was in 6th grade my friends sister's husband asked me how old I was and I told him and his response was, and I will never forget it, "You're one ugly sixth grader." It shattered me and never left me. It did effect my self-esteem, even now. I'll never forget that day. Out of all of the people who have insulted me, that was the worse. I don't even date.

I think I always knew I wasn’t the societal standard of pretty, but the one time someone made a comment that got to me was in Junior High. I was walking down the hall to the bathroom or something and I saw another student walking my way. I just always have automatically smiled at people and said hi even if I didn’t know them, but as soon as I smiled she stopped walking. She looked at me and said “Can you stop smiling, you look so weird” and walked off. My heart hurt after that because I thought of all the times I’ve smiled at people and how they must’ve felt disgusted by me. Eventually over time I pushed it all down and started smiling towards people again when I got older and everyone always compliments my smile (and my teeth for some weird reason lol). I realized that some people just really have nothing better to do other than being other people down. I would never say what she said to anybody and especially not a stranger because it’s incredibly rude and awful. I wasn’t raised like that, she wasn’t in the right and had no justification for being awful. Now I look back at it and use it to encourage myself to always prioritize myself and stop listening to others who just want to bring me down. She almost won and made me never smile at others again but I picked myself back up and healed. I don’t understand having that kind of hatred of the world and other people in your heart. It must be awful.

I was always the one that was joked about even when I was a kid, from weird nasty jokes to straight up insults. The most recent one that hurt me was from my "friend". He literally called me "a freak" infront of me and other friends and laughed(which sounds so horrible in my language). And keep in mind that we talked to each other every day for four years...All of these girls are really beatiful and that just shows that beauty is in the eye of beholder. I'm just sorry for myself bc I don't have even a little bit of confidence.

i want to tell mine too: i was around 11 or 12 and hi5 was a thing back then where i lived. Every one had an account and it was also my very first social media and i posted a picture of myself since everyone did yk? Just 1 picture of myself slightly smiling and out of nowhere boys from my school! boys i never talked to maybe just passed by started commenting stuff like "can you turn around" "never post a picture of yourself ever again" "ew" "i almost shat myself" and i cried yeah ... since i also got bullied by my relatives because i was chubby (i was 11 to remind you again) i believed them and thought i was ugly and fat for years ... i'm 25 now but i still have so much issues with how i look :) but i'm getting better tho

There was this time where I was in fourth grade at school and I was seated next to some classmates. It was the first class of the day and I was ver y sleepy, but as son as I put my head on the table the classmates seated with me started saying stuff like: "OMG, her parents are wasting so much money to put her in this school for her to just fall asleep?" "She shoudnt even be in this class, she's kinda dumb" And, like stuff like that. I started crying right there at the spot AND THEY KEPT GOING, the worst part is that they where like: "Do YoU tHiNk sHe's AwaKe?" (LIKE I WAS CRYING HARD WTF) Still kinda mad that I didn't do anything and just ran off the class crying but at least they got some punishment and apologised. Fourth graders are the worst XD

It was freshmen year of high school. I actually got dressed up for school for like the first time and I was actually feeling myself. I was in class doing work on the computer and I have two classmates, a guy and girl, like two computers away from me. The guy turns to the girl and said “she’s ugly.” The girl whispered like “omg you don’t say that.” I turned to look at him and that’s when he realized I heard him. In college, we ended up at the same college and he apologized for the comment and he felt bad for it. We were cool after that but I never forgot it.

People really call you ugly cuz they wanna feel better than you, this is proven psychology. Beauty is subjective because people have different preferences and types. As long as you dress how you want and look how you want, somebody will appreciate that and love it. Sometimes they're too shy to say something to you. You have to learn how to ignore the people who wanna bring you down, or clapback; I learned this the hard way

When I was 5 years old. I wanted to be a flower girl. For a kid that age, I was a bit tall. So this one girl, probably in her mid 20s was babysitting me back then, and I asked her if I could be her bridesmaid ca's she was planning her wedding. Most of them complain that they are beeing called cute instead of pretty. But cute is like waaaay better than pretty. Just a few of them were called ugly....and just once or twice. I got called ugly about 500 to 5000 times. I dont think truly ugly poeople have the courage to make ticktocks or care much about ticktock. Its an app for good looking people, so no wonder all of them are supercute and pretty.

I remember when I was high school I was waiting for the guidance counselor. I heard the student volunteers at the desk rating me. There was a girl who told the guy next her that I wasn't that pretty that she had dated girls that were way more attractive and that I was mediocre. She also said since I have no ass that makes me even more mediocre.🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

I always being compared to my Mom who fair skinned and me being tanned and blackish, I know that she is pretty, but I think I'm okay as a person. Moving on, when I was at my junior hs, these brutal kids bullied other kids who according to their standard isn't good enough and me being annoying brat sometimes did that and at the same day I proceed to apologize to them. And this is it. There's a PE class, and we had to go in pair and they did it to me, like saying really rude things to me, like who tf want to be with u? And I'm really at fault for to stop doing that shit after this happened to me.

Lol SAME story, different first letter. I jokingly said “beautiful Brooke” in a “get to know your new class” circle because I was sick of saying “babbling Brooke”... and the TEACHER said “well I wouldn’t say that....” (he went on to spend the next four years sexually harassing my friend group, but that’s another story)

People worry about things that do not matter at all. Life is more amazing and important more than just been a pretty person. You think i am ugly, deal with it, i ain't changing a damn thing for anyone's approval. Everything need balance you're pretty and i'm ugly, who cares!

I was playing a game with questions with some random people and the question was to be revealed if we'd flip a coin a certain way. The questions were about people in the room, and I get to be the answer of one. I flip the coin and guess the question..Who's the least attractive person in this room :) I knew I was uglt before, but this cleared any doubt I had
