Disagree, I seek of own experience.y dad died when I was 4 years old and it hurted so much. Remember not going to the kindergarten for 2 months and crying every time. So yea kids can definitely understand death, I suppose it has more to do with the way they are raised and if you explain things to them from a young age. I guess an important factor may also be if they play very violent games from a young age or things like that.

When young kids fatasize about getting all the money after your dead, I think that is a normal childish reaction. My grandma had a collection of jewlery that I would have loved but obviously couldn't get as a small kid. So since adults sometimes brought up something like "if I die, you will get ..." kids pick that up and use it. If kids are talking about killing or proactively hurting though, and they don't do it in a heated argument while being totally mad, but are totally cool, that pretty much isn't normal kids behavior.

This is what scares me with mine. She started threatening to kill me when she was 3. We've made a lot of progress with therapy but she still is quite obsessive over gorey or morbid topics. One day when I was bathing her ( more recently, she's 4.5 now) she was behaving oddly. She kept grabbing my head and neck and telling me to get closer to her like she was going to tell me a secret. But Everytime I'd give her control she'd push my head into towards the water. It didn't feel like a silly joke or being goofy. She was mad at me prior to the bath and I truly think she was acting out drowning me. She was just acting weird af. Her entire demeanor was off. I decided to call her out in that moment because I let so many things like that go. But she's always seemed to get some sort of satisfaction from topics around violence or death in general despite not having exposure or access. She has very limited access to TV, games or tablet. I have really strong parental locks and everything and monitor her activities. She started this obsession as early as two whenever I would warn her about things like the stove or wall plugs etc.

I had never been exposed to the concept of death before and somehow no one had to explain it to me, I just knew. I don't remember it ever hitting me in the face like something new. And I also asked her how do we tell between what is a dream and what is real life? I tought that maybe we were awake while we sleep but we can't tell. Kids cannot process emotions properly. You havew to think about it further, what do you think is going on in their mind? Its not as easy as evil.. I can actually remember a traumatic even from my childhood, traumatic for my dad. But i also remember what i was thinking. Here it goes, sorry for the deep subject matter. Me around 3-5 years old, walks into the kitchen where my dad is having a cigarette crying under the kitchen fan. - "Whats wrong dad?" Dad: "dont you get it your mom is dead and she isn't coming home again" Me: "Confused" and not getting that my mom isn't just moving to a new hospital wing or just going away for a couple of months at some different bigger hospital, as was unfortunatly common in my home due to her MS. I just knew i hated seeing my dad cry and for him to cry for me about losing my mother, i told him " its alright, we can go out and find a new mom, you and me". Eventhough my mom miraculously came back to life, although the doctors had the time to call and notify my dad of her death, that moment has haunted my adult life. what a horrible kid i was i used to think, but I get it now as an adult with the capability to think deeper into things.

@@lauriegallant8901 i agree! I was into the dark work as a preteen. Now I make happy things. It seems like a way of working out the concept of mortality in a maturing yet still juvenile brain. So many kids go through the horror themed novels and movies at that 10-14 age time period. It’s a time when empathy is taking a temporary back seat and it’s the perfect time to truly integrate the concept of human vulnerability and mortality. Being completely empathetic and understanding of everything at the same time you are hyper focused on the dark side of the world would just make someone an awful wreck . You wouldn’t be able to function. So I feel like our brains do that for a reason. It keeps us more sane later in life to really get that concept really nice and integrated right then and not start much earlier or later than that.

I was one of those kids. When I was about 2-3 years old, I had an elaborately detailed plan on how to kill my grandmother (involving various weapons). I don't know why I wanted to kill her - maybe because she used to nag me a lot? I even used to tell the plan to some relatives, and my grandmother herself. But all such thoughts vanished when I turned 4-5 years old. I have had competely normal psychological development, and have not turned out to be a psychopath. I also love my grandmother very dearly. At such young age, children are going through the process of psychological development; their development is not complete. They have also mostly not understood the true meaning behind death and violence. So, such thoughts (not actions) are actually quite common, and usually are not early signs of psychopathy. Such thoughts usually originate due to their temporary emotions (when kids are happy, they go to large extents to show that, so when they are angry, they might talk about killing). But as they grow older and grasp the true meaning of death and killing, such thoughts usually stop.

Being a psychopath mostly means you lack feelings. You're born like this, it's a brain condition like autism or schizophrenia. Most psychopaths grow and become "normal" cuz been taught by everyone how to act normal to blend in. If some psychopaths try killing animals or humans to check if it gives you some kind of feeling cuz we've been taught by everything that's what psychopaths do. Also seeing blood or someone dead might make your heart beat faster but for a psychopath it makes you calmer and you might end up trying it yourself because of that, the lack of fear makes u indifferent to consequences too. Again you learn how to behave from what you observe and if you get abused or see people getting abused regularly it just becomes "normal" so you might end up replicating it. Please stop spreading bs and inform yourself (I've been diagnosed with psychopathy as a kid but it turns out it was alexithymia which is still really close to it)

@@cof... like yes some psychopaths are super sweet the one i lived with in the psych ward was she wanted to adopt me cuz she loved me so much and she was going to fight my mom for me and she was only that way cuz she was getting help. my cousin on the other hand the one i lived with in my home she was evil cuz she wasn't getting help and still isn't that i know of. i lived with both types of psychopaths the nice kind and the evil kind and i can say these kids just are a little different from your average child.

How is it possible that a child knows the Slender Man? The crazy ones are the parents who don't supervise what the kid has access to on the internet.

I realize my boys were psychopaths when they were seven and eight. We took him to the movies hoping that they would see a kid movie, but the movie that they wanted to watch was it. And we're able to sleep with no nightmares or no problems. While I needed a chaperone to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

i knew a little girl like that. she was like 3 watching horror animes with her mom and had no problem watching them and sleeping afterward and sometimes she would fall asleep watching them. some kids brains just don't i guess the word is decipher what should and what should not be scary at a young age. like for me when i was younger disney movies scared me and by the time i was like 10 i watched NCIS. it doesn't mean your kids are psychopaths it just means their brains haven't deciphered what should and shouldn't not be scary or creepy and you need to teach them that some things for their age shouldn't be watched cuz it is supposed to be creepy

@@heatherstevahn417 It all depends on the exposure of material to the children, whether their parents showed a fearful or calm reaction.. In my home on saturday/Sunday morning we watched wholesome cartoons. Although, more violent themes are becoming more and more popular ..(every platform is booming with murder mysteries/ or reenactments of older cases). My parents always told me what kids shouldn't watch or read, and as an anxious kid I was fearful of them. While other thing I invested in for the sheer purpose of it being an "adult" thing. Its interesting that the same show can bother some while others never think twice about it...

I mean you could have said no. I don't know why a parent would take a child to watch it.

First off, "It" and "were". Second, I watched It the mini series when I was 8, which is way scarier and didn't have nightmares. I'm definitely not in the dark triad.

kids don't learn this kinda things on their own. you all are letting them watch tv/yt too much, they probably can't cope with the graphic stuff they for sure seen. all of those children should go see a therapist

Its gonna be sad for this children, when grow up and watch this video of their parents telling the the whole world that they thought they were a psychopath. Telling this things on the internet is so wrong on so many levels. And I hate the fact that every thing is blamed on the children we never know what they're exposed to, or what their level of understanding to the things they say or do is. I wish the parents try to understand the source of all this or not conclude it's a problem right of the bat and if they think there is sth wrong too, I hope they will be willing to go to therapy with their kids with an open mind that not only their kids but they also might need therapy. I'm not saying they did something wrong. But openness and flexibility goes a long way.

My eight year old was struggling at school (is still working on emotional regulation) and he said/threatened all kinds of things, often that were brutal, but he didn't actually act on any of them. One day he has something on his face, so I asked what it was and he said "The souls of the innocent" I think I may have shrieked out! 😄

Is there a way to find out how much time these children spend with and/ or around digital devices of any kind? The few minutes from these stories they all seem like good parents. Psychologists don’t know what causes psychopathy, but genetics and parenting styles among others can play a factor. I would want these moms and dads as parents.☺️

Ppl need to understand that kids don't have sense of right or wrong they are very impressionable and learn everything they see or hear. They need to be taught(with patience) whats wrong and right and also parents should monitor what info the child is receiving like TV and school etc.

My nephew would pull off the head of baby chicks just so he could get new ones.... and horrible attitude to say the least. So, I'm kind of worried about that kid. And honestly maybe a bit weary around him, because he just gets mad at anything.

I don’t know about parents that are 40 and younger. But my mother could look at me, and I was sure she knew my thoughts. My mother always had age appropriate conversations with me about behavior and life in general. And I appreciate that . Those conversations help me to be confident in life and comfortable with my decision making. Are parents talking to their children, in an age appropriate way?
