‘Kundi’ in Hindi means ‘latch’ (as in the latch of a door). ‘Kundi' in Tamil means ‘buttocks’ (vulgar). Praveen Mohan & Co would conclude that ancient Tamils had latches in their buttocks. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️

Imo Tulsi das might not be a mathematician.... But duh he lived in india, housing many learning centres, he could just go to any gurukul or buddh vihar and ask them to make a guess. So that he could add it to his poem. At same time giovanni cassini discovered the solar distance as well.

But chalisa is utterly useless in this regard. If i as a student read the chalisa, i won't learn anything from it, it just tells the solar distance but not how to calculate it.. contrary, cassini's papers mentions the process, how to use parallax, trigonometry and maths to get the aprox distance, this is what's useful.

Yes but people just ignore these facts we aren't even sure about the units used 1 yojan=6,8,9km we don't know what Tulsi das used at that time and using Yug a unit of year just doesn't make sense if it was used as figure of speech then that's a different thing

@@krishanand4530 i mean does the unit of yuga even matter? We don't even use it anymore 😂... it's unnecessary. Besides, even a broken clock tells the real time twice a day. Solar distance is not always same cuz earths axis is elliptic. So neither tulsi nor cassini could give the real numbers, and both of em were way off from actual numbers.
