A lot of people don't realize it's part of our culture. I'm in New Mexico and was raised seeing deer or elk hanging from the tree out front every hunting season. Fishing trips were all about family and learning about conservation better than anywhere else. Now we need a 🫔 making video!! I can't wait for posole and tamale season!!

Being born and raised in Louisiana I can say you did a great job. That is pretty much how we do it in Louisiana. A few differences most folks boil their crawfish outside on propane burners. The amount of crawfish you had was tiny - most folks would have two kettles going. A sack of crawfish is about 30 lbs and worth about $100 these days. We use red potatoes for the boiling. Other than that we use Zatarain's, add shrimp, corn and sausage just as you did. And don't let anyone tell you done it wrong - a crawfish boil is about family and fun most of all - and ya'll always have that down.

The best part of the deer hunt is when you're sitting in the stand or platform on a cold morning in the dark waiting for twilight. As first light emerges over the field you're looking down upon, the area starts to awaken with the sound of chirping birds--a wave that starts in the far corner before overtaking the field like an ocean wave... slowly... rolling toward the shore. It marks a new day for deer hunting in the hill country of Texas.

I’ve been catching & cooking crawdads for 45 years & never washed or seasoned them. The way to do it is boil them live then dump the water after they turn bright red & refill it again & boil them again with salt only then after that drain & eat with melted butter lemon etc.

I seriously don't understand how people don't hunt. I grew up on fresh fish...and venison. That being said...I don't hunt..my husband doesn't hunt..but we know how. And for survival. We can. Because our parents taught us. It's perfectly ok to be uncomfortable with not hunting bit at the same time It's an invaluable skill for survival. I'm so impressed with these kids. In a survival situation they will win...every time. It's a very vital skill. Good job fam. Julie and Bill Oregon USA

Get you 4-5 crawdad traps and some small rope and a few small cans of cat food. Don’t take the lid completely off the can, just crack it open and bend it back a little. Let the traps soak for 5-24 hours. You’ll have plenty to eat. 👍😋😃

If your open to any advise from someone from Nawlins, your lemon, sausage, garlic, onions and potatoes go in at the beginning. Your corn and shrimp go in after you turn the gas off, then makes the water cool and allows the seasoning to enter into the crawfish… I’m local to Vegas now…

We only have White Wing & Morning Dove, Scaled Quail, Grey Wolves, Lynxx, Cougar, Antelope, Mule Deer, Elk, Black Bear, & Wild Boar. We make our own sausage, etc. We use 0-800yd: 308 (M40 & DPMS AR10 suppressed), 800-1600yd: AXSR 338 LM (suppressed), & AX ELR 50BMG out to 3600yd (though I personally keep it to < 1800yd, except pigs at any distance, because 😊). The freezer has never had commercial meat in it. Our Elk are considered "non-native," so just a valid hunting license is required. My extended family popped 3 Elk, 7 Mule Deer, & 42 Wild Pigs last year. A good campfire & cold beer is great therapy.

Most people who don’t like hunting have the wrong idea about it. They don’t know that they only allow so many tags for game management. Animals will die due to starvation or disease if not thinned out. Hunting also teach life and survival skills not to mention the bonding that takes place. It’s not like you can walk into the wild a 100 feet and have success. No one besides me in my family hunts and realizes the beauty and rewarding nature of it. I don’t even have to be successful in the hunt to love it. Keep it up guys.

You guys put out such a good vibe. Fishing and hunting gets you out in nature and that is a good thing. I mean you can just wander around out there looking at stuff and maybe that is enough. But fishing and hunting just takes it to the next level. Fishing is going to areas that have rivers and lakes which usually are the most scenic places in nature with the most wildlife. Just being in those areas is enough even if I don't catch anything and I doubt that I would have spent that much time in nature otherwise.

Fresh crawfish are the only way to eat them. We never eat dead or frozen crawfish in Louisiana. 25 to 50 lb sacks for a crawfish boil of 3 to 6 ppl or 8 lbs per person. Peel and save the left overs for Etouffee. Potatoes, Corn on the cobb 1/2's, mushrooms, garlic cloves, sausage & shrimp cooked in w/the boiled crawfish. Good job boys, Thanks for sharing !!

Awesome show. Y'all eat good! I don't hunt but I get it and I'm not against it. I do fish so I love all your fishing segments. I fish Mead once or twice a year so I always look forward to fishing and looking for the areas you guys are at. I do enjoy ur hunting episodes too. #familyalways is my tag when hanging with the fam. Keep up the awesome vids. Thanks guys.
