They absolutely SMASHED it.. my wife said she only wants to use the new one as it sticks to her skin better. The new Leaf has this drag effect that seems similar to the Henson of Old - and really lifts hair and stretches the skin. It is INCREDIBLE. I am sold in it!! Can't wait to try the thorn!!! It was always going to sell out, and it was going to go quick regardless. I think the sad thing is it was originally slated to be much larger and got cut off at the knees by the manufacturer. I really think these could have been a hit if they could have made smaller batches work. I have waited, begged even for a Leaf like this - and the chance to own it... Man, it was dreams. I felt like I was doing smiling somersaults the whole time. When I got the email about getting 001... It was almost too much to take 😁🥳👍 Thank you again so much for being here!!!

Love it.. got #024 (they told me I literally got the last one… not sure if they made #025🤷🏼♂️).. shaved with it two days in a row, and have Zero regret on the purchase! I love the regular leaf just as much and put it in my travel bag (in its case of course💪🏼)… I missed the SS Thorn, late to the party, but I want it!🙏🏼. Leaf’s customer service is phenomenal! I cannot give them enough praise on customer service. They “get it”! I have all three of my sons (17,25,30 swapped over from cartridges to the Twig(17), & Leaf&Thorn(25), and Thorn(30). My 25 yr olds wife uses the Leaf. I only need one more Daughter in Law and my beautiful Wife to switch over and we will cut the monetary anchor of cartridges forever!💪🏼😜
Absolutely love this!!! That's how my entire family is as well!! Makes traveling easy to one anothers houses as we always have blades hahahah I still think it's funny how my dad now loves shaving when before it was only ever a pain. My brother as well has picked up an entire Leaf regiment and is always proud to tell me about his last perfect shave. Congratulations on 24!!! Holy cow!! Yes I believe in reality the numbers may be a bit skewed as we know there are 000 models that were in fact made to validate the build. Regardless - it sounds like 24 went to a great home!! Very pricey... But man... Leaf out did themselves!!
@@SubieShaves ahhh 000 makes sense🧐 yeah I love it.. and I too used to hate shaving. Now I can’t grow hair fast enough to mow down🤪. It’s therapeutic, and has become fun.. take the cartridge cost out of shaving and it’s way less painful. Speaking of painful, I used to dread 3 days growth or more being shaved with a cartridge.. it tugs no matter if it’s a new or used cartridge. BUT with a razor (using Nacette right now) it just cleanly and effortlessly takes out the whiskers!💪🏼. So I’ll say it… I NOW LOVE SHAVING😃

@@RaktajinoNX-74205 oh it happened yesterday!! She said omg have you tried my new SS Leaf yet!? I was like... You mean the Elite that I begged for? That I almost died over? She was like yeah, well I guess I can share it... She said she finds the new one to be smoother, and she really likes the skin feel. The handle is sublime in the tub as it's not slippery and she likes that she can heat it up slightly and it stays warm. It's beyond just another razor purchase IMHO. Its unlike anything else in the world - and on top of that - it's limited run. Beyond worth it. Absolutely incredible razor.
Happy Birthday man! So the regular Leaf isn't stainless steel? This concerns me. The gold finish on my first Leaf started peeling off. Customer service sent me a new Leaf (A+). However, this second Leaf had a noticeably smaller blade gap when using just the bottom blade -- which is what I do. Customer service sent me a THIRD Leaf (A+++) which has a better blade gap but it still isn't as open as my first Leaf. That first Leaf just shaves like an absolute dream. SO, long story short, I still use my original Leaf even if it looks totally messed up with the peeling finish. I am just praying that nothing goes wrong with it. Now that I've learned that it isn't stainless steel... I guess I'm going to have to be extra extra careful with it, lol.
Ahhh depending on generation - yes leaf has tweaked it's heads!!! Literally impossible to tell by the actual razor without getting a blade in them, but I know they adjusted the aggressiveness of the bottom blade a few times. I have one of the first ones and it's definitely got some kick - the later ones I found a tad smoother. And sadly no, the leaf is not SS. They are all PVD Zmak. I'm just glad leaf has taken good care of you!!
@@SubieShaves Yeah, tha likely explains it. Come to think of it... I think I got my first Leaf from Razor Emporium or some other retailer so their stock was probably from an earlier generation. Glad to see you're getting close to 1,000! I knew it wouldn't take too long
Happy Birthday Josh! It really was a bargain when you compare it to top of the line stainless steel razors on the market and the amount of machining that went into that leaf is far more extensive most of them. If I was a head shaver I probably would have thrown in on the deal. Very cool!

@@SubieShaves yes my first shave with it I used my go to blade with it the EuroMax. I don't think I have ever used a blade that didn't work well in a Leaf.
You won't find them on Google sadly.. they had an Etsy but I guess the fees got too high with that service. Right now he is only selling over on Facebook or by custom order. Happy birthday Subes! I would probably go for something like this as well I LOVE my leaf but the black coating is starting to come off and it makes me sad. I don't think you'll have that issue with the SS version I'm a bit jealous!
The black ones are notorious for that apparently. I have seen several that peeled!! Have you reached out to Leaf? They usually will replace the razor if the coating fails. Just saying 👍🤣 Thanks for being here on my birthday brother!!! And man, SS... This thing is built like a friggin tank!! It's more than just material though... It's beautiful!!
