This is a great video dealing with Domain II which is Creating a Positive Environment for your student through Procedures and Routines for students to be successful in the classroom.

Procedures and routines are super important for our students to get the success we want for them. Making sure the routines or procedures are different or grabbing the kid's attention is fun and appropriate is also super important. How you run your classroom is everything and how you go about with your procedures and routines will go a long way to ensure the student's success.

There was a good bit in this one about collaboration. I remember how important that was from one of the modules.

This was a great video that went into depth on competency 6. Mrs. Sauceda explain to the importance of using routines and procedures. Using routines and procedures would provide consistency, enhances behavior management, reduces classroom distractions, boost focus, creates an effective classroom management, and makes lesson planning easier. Then she explains different types of classroom routines that help facilities teaching and learning. Some of the types of procedures and routines she expanded on were entry and exit procedures especially for younger students to minimize distracts. Transition routines are important to minimize chaos and anxiety especially among younger students. Those are just among some that she explained. This video also dove deep into classroom management theories like behaviorists, humanist, democratic, and cognitive. Always great videos that Mrs. Sauceda post, thank you!

This is a great video. Routines are very important especially for students at a younger age. In the grade I teach, if our routine changes for some reason, my students day gets all messed up and even at times I get confused. But I love how in this video you explain a lot about it.

I enjoyed hearing you say that procedures becomes routine. Routines should be age-appropriate and that is something we must all take into consideration. Effective classroom procedures which ultimately become results creates consistency in the classroom. It makes everything in the classroom flow much easier.
