That 80's show was doomed from the start. The plot was bland for starters, but most importantly there wasn't any original cast members from the show that it preceded to bridge the audience from the original show to the spinoff show. it just felt soo generic and mundane as a result.
johnarcheus Uhh you have that completely flipped idk where u get yr info from. The Party Drug of the 80s was Cocaine. The Rave Drug of the 90s was Ecstasy.
@@ellismarquez8410 maybe it's because Hyde doesn't look like a Tacoma shooter, so there is no need for anyone on a That 70's Show youtube comment section to "peep" about it, my good bitch
Not really. If I'm not wrong, this takes place in that one alternate timeline episode where Donna is with Hyde, and they had already showed how Hyde looks before this scene
In an interview, the cast said these 360 degrees scenes had to be done in one take, and if someone messed up, they had to start all over. I don't think they paused for laughs. I bet the actor playing Fez was trying not to break in order to get through his lines.
They could easily reboot the 70s show and have it take place in the 80s or 90s, it would explain why everyone is older, I mean it juts works on so many levels these days,
I still think we'll eventually get a tv reunion movie set in the 90s at some point. That 70s show was an affectionate retro look at the 70s and it was made in the 90s-early 00s at a time when 70s nostalgia was an especially big thing. A tv reunion movie set in the 90s will be an affectionate retro look back at the 90s, using these 70s characters and it'll be made in a time when 90s nostalgia is getting bigger. It'll most definitely be in the spirit of the original by doing for the 90s, what the original show did for the 70s. Plus it's the closest time period that we're ever going to get to the present day that allows them to still use Eric's parents as characters and have Red not either dead, or in a wheelchair. A 'That 70s show' reunion set in 2020? Red would surely have to be 100 by that point!
@@SensiofRabbitude They better hurry up while the parents are still alive, eric's sister already died in real life, hyde and kelso already have their own show on netflix with sam elliot.
Yeah this was episode 1, season 4 of That 70s show during Eric's future vision without Donna, not to be confused with "That 80s show", which was a crappy attempt at making a similar show with other characters.
@horriblepancake We weren’t pansy little bitches in the 80s unlike the modern day “I’m offended by everything culture”. it’s not a symbol that represents racism but people instead. You take away the symbol all you want still ain’t gonna stop it!
@@JOESMITH-qs8ue that's what my dad said in the 70s and 80s it was seen as being a rebel or associated with southern rock like Skynard. He grew up in Minnesota too btw lol
@@partyguy101ify i wonder if anyone actually watched an entire episode? i watched it for about 5 minutes or less to realize just how painfully shitty it is.
@@thaliakittycake8496 And they lost the war, slavery was legalized anyway and the KKK is more of a meme than an institution with any influence (even calling it an institution at this point is dubious)
I liked the part where the Angel (NEWMAN) says that they're going to the 80's. Then he plays "the Safety Dance" to Eric, and Eric goes "What the hellwas that?!"
@@soapywaffles3994 Nahhhhh, just nahhh his hair is closer to the Misfits and even then he isn't even on Level in terms of Punk with either of those great bands.
"Guys, sometimes when I do the news, I don't wear any pants!" Ironically, many TV news reporters would do just that between the years 2020 and 2021 while we were still practicing social distancing and watching the news through Skype and Zoom videos on our National News broadcasts lol. Also many telecommuters did just that as well.
Kurtwood Smith is an amazing actor. He was great in RoboCop. Red is always the funniest character on this show by far. The scene where he let Hyde move in is hilarious. I probably said this before, but thanks again for your service to this country. Stay cool bro. See ya around.
If only tropher and kutcher would have stayed on board, they could have continued that 70's show into the 80's with the same cast and the whole series could have lasted at least another 5 or 6 more seasons.
me and my friends just chill sometimes and we're sitting in one of our rooms just hanging out talking about random stuff and this show is ALWAYS on our tv. I miss it, but all good things have to end sadly...
Season 4 episode 1, broadcast on September 25th, 2001. The first episode following the September 11th attacks. That was right around when 80's nostalgia really started to kick into high gear...
Part of me wishes, after seeing this again, that the show had been called something else and that it had been set in the mid/late 70's to the early 80's. It could have been an affectionate look back at both 70's and some 80's pop culture and so on and as a bonus, we'd have seen Eric's reaction to 'Luke I am your father.' Though I doubt it would have worked because there's never any serious nostalgia for a decade if there isn't at least one decade in between that and the decade you are presently in. So yeah 80's nostalgia defintely wasn't a thing in the 90's but 70's was.
Wild that Fez rocked the Flock of Seagulls hair in this episode. Mike Score was a hairdresser before founding the band, and in That 90s Show Fez is now a hairdresser.
That's always been one of the biggest missed opportunities. I get the second two movies were released in 80 and 83 and the show ended on the stroke of 1980 but Eric is like the ultimate star wars fan in popular culture and that we never got to see his reaction to 'Luke I am your father' is near criminal. Hell I bet that moment would be so cool, that it'd turn all the rest of the guys back around to liking Star Wars after Eric drove them mad going on about it. :P
I really hope so to because I love this show. Sadly, the actor for Hyde is facing rape charges so this show might never return to Netflix or even re-runs on TV.
@@riplonelyy I don't know, but to my knowledge it seems that the evidence is stacked against him. Either way, it's really sad that such a great show can sort of be not exactly ruined but more so tarnished from awful action of a cast member. I'm still gonna laugh at this show. Friends is way too fucking overrated.
@@zom-b4237 well I’d rather him be locked up if that shits is true even if he was a good actor people like that don’t deserve to be out :/ it’s disgusting
@@riplonelyy Yeah, I got a feeling that he is guilty. So sickening that someone could do something like that. It's hard to re-watch scenes now because it will always be in the back of my mind of what twisted person that actor really is.
