I don't get it. It's not the best film and it's arguably among the weaker in the series mainly just for too many ideas being clustered. But it's still COOL and visually interesting ideas, with good action, music, acting, and heart behind most of it. Stuff clearly had effort and creative unique though put in it, which is more than can be said for a great deal other films, large and small.

I could argue that I think the Speed Racer movie did a good job at respecting the source material while simultaneously breathing life into it with colorful CGI and witty dialogue, as well as maintaining a healthy balance between comedy, action, and drama so as not to rely too heavily on any one aspect... But at the end of the day, I just think it's a fun movie to watch. 10/10, a thing worthy of being carried

I don't hate the movie, but it has 2 hours of boring scenes with human characters for most of whom you don't care at all, instead of great scenes which were cut like the prehistoric fish attack in the swamp, the ceratops attack as well as the scene with the prehistoric bird. As well as many other creatures that we were not able to see due to forcing scenes with boring human characters that led nowhere.
