Funniest part in this episode is where Dorothy acts as if she can't stand clooneys partner, and at the same time she turns around and tells Blanche, I'm crazy about this guy!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Here's another fun fact affecting both shows: Herb Edelman - (Yes, that's him, Stan) - plays one of the police detectives with whom Jessica Fletcher regularly collaborates in New York, in the last four seasons of Murder She Wrote, when she lives there part-time. And, it's kind of like watching this Golden Girls episode, only with Stan participating and taking the part of a detective. I mean, the character is very Stan-like. (Except that he has a wife, whom he talks to on the phone.) To tell you the truth, I can almost picture him making his entrance on Murder She Wrote with, "Hi, it's me, Stan," and Angela or the director going, "Herb, you got your scripts mixed up again." What's surprising as well as disappointing is that Angela never cameoed on Golden Girls, and Bea never cameoed on Murder She Wrote (given all of the other actors who were on both.)

I like The Waltons and Little House. As much as I've changed from the kid that would wake up early (for school mainly) and watched The Waltons when it was on TVLand at 7am before school, there's just something I still like even now. Plus John Boy sort of had some big influence in me getting into writing.

Not sure if it was really in vogue so much as a murder mystery just being an easy go-to if TV writers needed a gimmick ep. You can set a murder mystery anywhere, and with virtually any cast of characters.

Even in the 2010's Adventure Time of all shows, did one. ADVENTURE TIME. OF ALL THINGS.

Il add this I took care of my grandma for the better part of a decade after her heart surgery and through c. Diff, and multiple rehabs and stuff and we'd watch alot of TCM. Classics but we'd also watch alot of like tvland and other shows older people watch. Lots of westerns and old Western shows. Like gunsmoke, have gun will travel, and Maverick but we'd also watch like golden girls, murder she wrote, and many others. So not only does this channel remind me of better times with my grandma but it also has a humorous, and in depth informational quality, and stuff I'd point out and make fun of you always hit the nail on the head. Lots of times you find stuff I missed too and catch me by surprise. I love your content and your channel, I hope it never ends. Also, Roses, it may delight you to know (as it did this fellow wlw) that Bea Arthur’s character not only survived the canon reset, but as of “From A Certain Point of View”, she’s a lesbian!
