I like to watch these videos because it reminds me of my youthful 4x4 days and of rescuing folks back in the 70's. When you dived off into that soup the second time in the same place, I thought, well here we go. I've certainly done the same thing more than once.

Always seems to be a bigger adventure when off road recovering . Especially when the person going to help get stuck too. Hahaha that's usually where the fun begins.

The blue car looked like one of the highly technical MORR recoveries. "Turn the wheels to the right Lizzie and put it in reverse." Always funny to watch desert dwellers get into sticky mud. Those AT tires just won't cut it and throttle is everything when getting into that goop. Stick the nose in and Stand On It!

The First Time I ever seen Rory make a Bad Call and I know he knows better. Anytime you are in a wet or damp area, you always drive on the vegetation. It has roots and also gives the vehicles tires something to grip hold of. Still an awesome video ------

It is fun to see Rory and the crew out of their element and getting stuck too :D. BTW, if you like mud/clay, check out the Brazilians. They are crazy. Search the terms "atoleiro", "brucutu", "br-319" or "transamazonica" to get some deep and/or slippery surfaces. Ever crazier are the russians, but that is just too much.

I don’t know anything about sand, rocks, deserts, but I imagine the mud is worse because the soil is silty and small particles. I do know a lot about bogs and normal mud as well as wet sand. We carry land anchors and go through mud holes flat out from as far back as possible with maximum momentum. Surprised you worked the jeep back and fourth. It just liquifies the mud and brings the water back up. Look up Non Newtonian Fluids.

I immediately noticed that Sean climbed the hill when attempting to recover Rory’s Jeep. From my many years of experience in preparing pickled eggs, I can honestly say that this was a serious mistake when attempting to recover that vehicle! Not only did he lack the necessary horsepower (I didn’t even see one horse in the video) but geographically he was too far away from the truck, and had no rope. It was a good attempt at fooling the viewers, but my expert eye caught the mistake.

I love how guys will get stuck , get themselves out and then think "Well I didn't make it the first time, but by damn I'll make it this time" and get stuck even worse. :) I've done it a few times but no videos of those.

need them mud TAs and a little more wheel speed, tire chains work alright but they make a mess if they come off. Also, we have trees to hook up to, they just kind of stick up out of the ground.

@Trail Mater ok I can talk about this video of you getting stuck in the mud. Thats what we have here in Western Kansas. When your vehicle won't move, quit fighting it. Your just digging your self in deeper. Something I can relate too. We may not have the rocks but we have the mud.
