I love these videos and they have been a major help in my quitting. To say I'm now smoke free and can even sit in car with daughter smoking and I empty her ash tray each day and it's no bother to me at all. I've worked on myself mentally for some time, watched other smokers and thought about how silly it is to let even 1 pass your lips. I've done this and other things over last months and your videos have finally enabled me to quit after 41years so I thank you from the bottom of my heart 💕💖💕

Smoking Cessation Formula - CBQ Method hi Nasia love your vids you said in an old vid to self affirm in the mirror daily " I am a non smoker " but surely the brain will omit the negative and you'll be calling yourself a smoker? Also mainly I don't understand the no willpower but as I see many many on Facebook and other groups counting the days saying they're suffering etc etc but surely they shouldn't even join the groups as the next day the addiction is over ? The mental dependence is hard as I find it hard to be excited about being a non smoker ? I know breathing is easier and a whole host of things but I don't want to learn a new thing in my life to replace smoking , thanks

@@MegaPianogenius Hi sam, our brain, specifically our unconscious mind, can’t understand negative commands, orders. For example, when you say don’t smoke the unconscious keeps the order “do smoke” Don’t fall is understood as fall, don’t drink and drive is understood as drink and drive. Telling yourself I am a non-smoker is fine because there’s no negative command in this affirmation. Non smoker is a word, a good one too! If you want you can tell yourself “I am smoke free” Suffering while quitting is a sign you’re using willpower to resist something you desire. That’s painful. That’s why the key to quitting is to stop desiring to smoke. When you stop wanting to smoke, you don’t need to use willpower because there’s nothing to resist. Do we need willpower to avoid eating rat poison, ammonia or bleach? Of course not. Because they're disgusting and harmful. Same with smoking, when you don’t want it anymore you don’t need to use willpower. People do and should join support groups before and after quitting because quitting is a process, facing your triggers as a non-smoker is a process, learning new ways to cope is a process and no-one has to be alone in this. It’ doesn’t mean it has to be hard! Replacing smoking with a new behavior will make it easy for you to remain a non-smoker- choose something that gives you joy. And to overcome the mental dependence one step at a time, start studying the stages of the CBQ Method. Not being excited about being a non-smoker is part of the journey, just keep moving forward.

I feel like I’m going to lose my shit honestly. Already have anxiety and depression. Recovery alc and addict of 17 years. That seemed easier than nicotine. Nicotine and alcohol are the worst. It’s legal. It’s easy to get. It’s addiction runs heavily in my family. Idk. I’m confused.

I quit smoking but then I got fat. I gained 140 pounds. I went from 135 pounds to a ponderous 275 pounds. That's right, I more than doubled my former body weight. My waist went from a 32 to a 50. I got kicked out of the navy for being obese and I lost my military retirement benefits. I developed severe sleep apnea and became a borderline diabetic. So I went back to 2 packs a day, but you might know, I didn't lose any substantial weight. Now today, I don't dare quit again, or I'm sure to get fatter
