It’s Easy to quit I’ve done it hundreds of times quote from Mark twain. Here I go again But like she said don’t should yourself This time is it!!! Sick of Smoking.. I hate it... until I grab a beer. Well I’m holding off for a while on drinking too. Wish me luck !!

I quit smoking for years but after drinking beer i started again. I hate the effect of the smoke on my lung but the addiction is stubborn and i will always end up smoking again and regretting. To justify my smoking i look to those who lived a long life despite smoking. But i cannot dismiss the irritating effect on my lung after smoking. I watched this wonderful lady in the fed and amazingly i stopped. But the beer with friends exposed me to smoking again. Now i am back listening to this beautiful lady for a second time. I want healthy lung, i want clean air, i love life, ....

She's right nicotine is a powerful addiction. My eyesight has been consistently improving since I quit (I was vaping 12 mg nicotine & smoking and quit smoking 6 weeks ago, then quit vaping 2 weeks ago). Nothing major, but it has improved. I went to the shooting range on Saturday and shot better than I have in years. All the variables were the same. Same range, lane, distance, rifle, ammo, etc. That is enough to scare me away from nicotine.

Here in India, during corona lockdown I threw away a pack of cigarettes nearby forest which is around 3 kms from my house. And the next day there was Triple lockdown and nobody was even allowed to walk on the streets, however I got nastyyyyyy cravings and adventurously I got on my bike and went to the forest and found the packet there and smoked. Actually it was an enlightment for me.On that day I found myself how strong my addiction was,and to what level I will go for satisfying my nicotine cravings. I totally agree about finding a replacement my trouble is that most replacement strategies are more effort and usually impossible to do in the car (which is a major trigger for me) does anyone have any advice? I’ve tried iced coffee, water through a straw, audio books, listening to Nasia in the car etc. i am doing sooo much better than before- but I still struggle on days I feel UNMOTIVATED to eat healthy, workout and manage my stress in a healthy way. Nasia you are AMAZING by the way and I know that if I keep at it, the muscles in my brain will grow stronger- just hard sometimes and I’d love any and all advice ❤️

Doc!! You should talk about improving the quality of food. Because of busy routines one does not focus on energy from food... bcz it takes longer to release energy but smoking gives you a fake buzz of energy... Do include this aspect..

Such great advice and very informative.I am now 4 days smoke free and I do see myself as a nonsmoker in the near future.Replacing smoking with a healthier habit is what I intend to do.My very good friend smoked for over 30years he stopped using a method he called the 3D's Delay the urge to smoke even for 5mins which turned to 10 so on Drink plenty of water which uses hands and mouth Do something else other than smoke for even 5 mins which lead to 10 so on... Do a workout or exercise I'm will do this plus what you have suggested as well Thank you so much for advice and great videos Ex Smoker...😁😁😁

I noticed on the few times I have quit (28 days, 11 days, etc.) it takes a lot of work (& I mean a LOT) for me to get there. Then the novelty of quitting somehow wears off & I somehow make my way back to them. I remember on my last quit, I went cold turkey. Then bought a vape and it was SO unfulfilling, so I finally caved and smoked & it was SO GROSS! I put it out 1/2 way through. Then a few minutes later I said “well, I guess I’ll just smoke the other 1/2” and then of course back to full blown smoking 🤦🏼‍♀️ I don’t know how to want to stay smoke-free. Maybe things will be different this time🙏🏻.

Try anything healthy to replace. I'm binging on healthy foods (trail mix without the candies) to replace it. I've gained 10 pounds in just two days but I was underweight before. I'm feeling way better just replacing smoking with healthy whole foods. Enjoying more fat this time has made it way easier to stay quit as well.

1 month without smoke, I am confident that I am out of this shit. The only way to quit is to let you suffer for a week to avoid lifelong suffering if you continue to smoke. In my experience I started to prepare my body to quit by giving 1-2 day gap every week. Tried for a month from Jan 1st - Jan 31st From Feb. 1st 2021 left and haven’t smoke since then I do not have any craving to smoke after 7-10 days.

it is not only nicotine which has become a habit the physical action we do also becomes habit. my brother used to suck his thumb till he was 16 years of age i mean i didn't understand what was in that thumb sucking. any emotional attachment is hard to quit. cigarettes have become part of life. as nasia mam said they were part when we were happy and when we were sad. our sadness is special because it has some kind of withdrawal symptoms associated with it so when we lit up cigarettes sadness reduced and we attached emotionally. so choose wisely. if you think you can't quit start reducing day by day that gives huge confidence to quit completely one day and me too in the same process all the best 👍

Hi, thanks for commenting. That's a good question! Nicotine stimulates the adrenal gland to release adrenaline. It’s a hormone, also known as epinephrine, that speeds up your heart rate by supplying more blood to your muscles, brain, and heart. While this makes you feel more alert and energetic, it burdens your heart. Here are some links on how you can boost your energy naturally: www.webmd.com/balance/guide/boost-energy#2 www.webmd.com/women/features/10-energy-boosters#2
