I just received this deck today. I love the book. He does an excellent job explaining the history and his thoughts. The box is stunning in its own right! I ❤it. I'm looking forward to seeing how it reads for me

Lovely deck with beautifully illustrated sharp imagery. I agree with you about wishing to experience all there is to a deck, not just to read them. I appreciate every artist's interpretations and respect what they create. I especially loved the mix of pips with illustrations as well as symbolism. Thanks for sharing and enjoy the New Year 2022. There is sure to be many fantastic decks in the making.

A fascinating deck that I am taking my time to study and feel familiar with, but I really appreciate both the intention and artwork . A deck rich with Hermetic and Alchemical references and as with all Robert M Place decks I am enjoying delving deep. There are also several books of his that I find invaluable in providing not just a fascinating history of the Tarot but also his Hermetic and Alchemical principles. Thanks for the review Simon, I hope you enjoy reading with this deck.

You are so welcome my friend, I am just so pleased that you love it🥰 Although, as soon as I saw the words on the backs I thought “oh no Simon won’t like that” 😂 I also love RMP decks but didn’t think I would like this one being Marseille but I do! I love the words on the cards and also that the pips are semi illustrated. Definitely have to get myself a copy when I am next in Watkins 😍❤️

He's very skilled. That World card would make a nice Christmas card. I agree with you about the backs. Some beautiful colorful cards, while some have more information on them than suits me (too much text turns a tarot deck into an oracle deck for me).

For me....aesthetics of a deck is everything. If it's not a good card stock I generally won't use it as much.
