Your channel has helped me so much go from hating the TAM to loving it because you teach us how to do it correctly!! What a difference being really aware of what my body is doing makes! I have to do the cardio with a rebounder, but that is so compatible with this method because it too strengthens the connective tissues. Thanks Rachel!

Another great video Rachel! Soooo true about losing weight slowly...especially as we get older. Don't rush it and get that haggard look!! And as I have said in so many other comments, Tracey's method is the one I've gotten the best results from hands down and I've tried HIIT and kickboxing, etc. I love it and it gives that lean and strong physique. And... it's sustainable. I take more breaks than I should during the workout but I'm still seeing results. Not exactly where I want to be yet but I'm a year in and I don't know what else I could do at 50 that is making this much of a difference. Anyway, love the video, thanks Rachel!

That’s why I love it too, Liza, it’s SUSTAINABLE! I take a lot of breaks too - especially at the beginning of a new mat workout - it can be overwhelming!

I’m so glad I found you I am just finishing my 90 day metamorphosis and am thrilled with the results. I started cardio dance slowly then pushed and twisted a knee but can still do mat lol

It really is a great procedure! I haven’t heard which skin types it’s best for - if anything I’ve heard it’s great for all! But supposedly it can help reduce acne. Hasn’t happened for me though.

Catherine Deneuve: “after a certain age, a woman has to choose between her fanny or her face.” Lol. There is some truth to this, at least in my experience. I’m hoping with continued Tracy Anderson I don’t have to choice like I have had to before. I can tell you that the distance between the floor and my booty is greater than it was 6 months ago. Perky butt is a thing with TA. Great video Rachel!!💝

Hi Rachel. I am a new member to the Tracy Anderson metamorphosis program and a new subscriber to your channel. I love all of your videos. I have a quick question. How do you keep the weight of your wrists? I am on day five and I find it very hard to keep up with the exercises because of the pressure I have on my wrists. I really love the metamorphosis program so far and I would hate to stop it.

Hey Christine! Metamorphosis is such a great program and a great way to jump in. Knock on wood, but I haven’t had wrist issues. Based on some feedback I’ve heard from TAMers, some people will use towels to help support their hands. Another person shared that her sister is a physiotherapist and shared a technique for wrist pain: you need to lean or put pressure on your wrist, let’s say pressing against the wall. Then with the other hand try adjusting the wrist to a point where it doesn’t hurt, playing with the angle of the wrist. Keep it this way for a couple of minutes - every time you feel pain, try adjusting the angle again. Repeat a couple of times a day. This technique helps the wrist find the right “path” to the point where there is no pain. There may be something to those wrist exercises! Just by doing a quick search there seem to be lots of techniques shared on RU-vid!

Hi Rachel. I just found TA and I started with the matt workout and was really liking it, but after a few weeks I was feeling discomfort in my hip joints. I felt like some of the moves were overworking the hip flexors. I want to do this, but I'm a little discouraged.

That is discouraging! Are you doing the online studio or metamorphosis? The reason I ask is because if you are doing online studio it way be worth emailing the support team for advice and even checking the community page to see if anyone has had that issue.

@@RundownwithRachel I'm not doing either. I'm doing the Tracy Anderson Method Matt Workout. It looked like a good place to start. I don't want to modify moves but maybe I will with the couple that bother me.

@@Nancy-le1ou that’s probably a great approach. With online studio, there are some moves that when I initially try, I may feel tightness or feel like it’s too challenging, and the modifications are a great way to hold me over as I continue evolving. Because many of her moves include dynamic stretching you may find that it can help your hips overtime. Especially, since so many of us have SUPER tight hips - me included!

Spent my teens and 20s as a dancer. Then spent my 30s doing crazy bootcamp workouts and then late 30s started to discover TA......had a baby then dropped out of workong out for a few years... But now at 50 I've come back to TA. At the height of my running, spin class and PT in the gym years....I had runners face, (face or the figure?) sinewy neck, hungry ALL THE TIME. Nevermind the impact on knees and hips from repetivite squats and lunges. Who ever thought bending the knees a hundred times under heavy weights was a good idea?!?! I am now a dedicated TAMer for life.

Ug I had runners face. Not good. It does come back though if you stop running and eat lots of collagen fat and protein. I just super scrawny looking if I run. I look much better at 50 with TA and my new mini trampoline (yipppeeeee so love it).

Hi Rachel, I recently started the TA method. I’m finding I’m not feeling “the burn” with the butt/leg exercises using ankle weights. In my past workouts, I would use the loop resistance bands and feel a really good burn. Not sure if it’s working because I’m not sore during or after workouts in my butt or legs. Any advice would be great. Thank you, June. 🇦🇺

Hi June! Which workouts are you doing? Usually folks are doing meta or online studio. To give you a quick answer, I find that I get a better burn when I focus on the height and direction of Tracy’s legs. Usually I notice I need to kick higher and take note of where her shoes laces are pointing. Second thing that helps is to use my core - not just to tighten it but to pull it in - almost like I’m sucking it in and flexing at the same time. By doing this I really notice how my core AND bum work together. Third, if I don’t feel a burn, I usually need to slow it down. That really helps to get that sizzle 🔥

Hey! Tracy has a rebounder video on RU-vid that I watched for inspo. But instead of following it to a T, I typically do my own thing on the rebounder. My focus is really engaging my core and getting my heart rate up. But most days lately, I do dance cardio on the floor and use my rebounder as more of a warm up - to get the lymphatic drainage going and to de puff.

Hi Clara! 🌸 Thats a great question! If I were you, I would pick up from where I left off. So if you pause on level 3, and go 15 days, I would return back to level 3 and keep going!

Questions about dance cardio. I am trying to do a half hour before work and a half hour when I get home. Am I missing out on the benefit over people that do the workouts back to back?

I’ve wondered the same thing! When I’ve split up DC from the mat workout my results have still been great. If anything they are better bc my hunger doesn’t increase like it will when I have a longer workout.
