Thank you for sharing your experience with us, and happy early birthday! It's great to hear that you're willing to try incorporating warm lemon water into your routine, even if it's not your favorite drink. While warm lemon water is not a cure for diabetes, it may have some health benefits, such as supporting hydration and digestion. As with any dietary change, it's important to talk to your healthcare provider before making significant changes to your routine, especially if you are taking medications or insulin. They can help you determine if warm lemon water is a good option for you, and provide guidance on how to incorporate it into your daily routine safely and effectively.

I have Books with Home remedies, and books that tell us which foods can heal and which can hurt us. I am a healthy 66 year old woman with tiny things wrong that it all comes together in a pain on the rear. I did find that stress is thee m=worst thing to have our lives. I was a In home care Nurse and care person for even CPS. I did My jobs and never had illnesses until I got older and found stress.. it causes things to happen in us. the Diabetes was brought on by stress. Mom had Cancer twice and beat it her inner strength lives in me so I fight as she did.

@DiabeticsTalk Год назад
It's clear that you have a wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to health and wellness, and it's wonderful to hear that you're taking proactive steps to maintain your health despite the challenges you've faced. Stress can indeed have a significant impact on our overall well-being, and it's great that you've identified it as a factor in your own health journey. As you've mentioned, stress can contribute to various health issues, including diabetes, and finding effective ways to manage stress is crucial. It's fantastic that you're drawing upon your own inner strength and the lessons you've learned from your mother's experience with cancer to navigate through these challenges. Remember that a holistic approach to health involves not only physical well-being but also mental and emotional well-being. Incorporating stress-reducing practices such as mindfulness, meditation, deep breathing exercises, regular physical activity, spending time in nature, engaging in hobbies you enjoy, and maintaining a strong support network of friends and loved ones can all contribute to managing stress and promoting overall health. It's also important to continue working closely with your healthcare provider to monitor your health, manage any existing conditions, and address any new concerns that may arise. Your background as a nurse and caregiver puts you in a unique position to advocate for your own health and make informed decisions about your well-being. Your positive attitude, determination, and commitment to maintaining a healthy lifestyle are truly inspiring. Keep up the great work, and remember that taking care of yourself is an essential part of continuing to lead a fulfilling and vibrant life.

@DiabeticsTalk Год назад
It is generally safe to drink warm lemon water while taking metformin, but it's always a good idea to talk to your healthcare provider before making any significant changes to your diet or routine. Lemon water is low in calories and can help support hydration, digestion, and overall health. However, lemon juice can be acidic, which may irritate the stomach in some people. If you experience any discomfort after drinking warm lemon water, you may want to reduce the amount of lemon juice you use or drink it less frequently. Additionally, it's important to continue taking your medication as prescribed by your healthcare provider, and to monitor your blood glucose levels regularly to ensure that your diabetes management plan is working effectively.

If you have unstable blood sugar levels that frequently drop, it is important to work closely with your healthcare provider to manage your condition. They can help determine the underlying cause of your blood sugar instability and develop a personalized treatment plan for you. Strategies may include adjusting your medication or insulin regimen, making dietary changes, and incorporating regular physical activity. Additionally, monitoring your blood sugar levels closely and responding promptly to any drops can help prevent severe symptoms and discomfort. It's crucial to communicate your symptoms and concerns with your healthcare provider so they can provide appropriate guidance and support.

Recently diagnosed on oral medication not effective as lm having fasting of10 mmol is abnormal bad help
@DiabeticsTalk
@DiabeticsTalk 11 месяцев назад
We're not a doctor, but we can offer some general guidance. A fasting blood sugar level of 10 mmol/L is higher than the recommended range for fasting blood glucose, which is typically below 6.1 mmol/L. It indicates that your blood sugar is elevated, and this may be a cause for concern. If you've been recently diagnosed with diabetes and your oral medication doesn't seem to be effectively managing your blood sugar, it's crucial to take the following steps: Consult Your Healthcare Provider: Reach out to your healthcare provider as soon as possible to discuss your blood sugar levels and medication. They can assess your current treatment plan and make necessary adjustments. Diet and Lifestyle: Pay close attention to your diet and lifestyle choices. Make sure you are following a balanced, diabetes-friendly diet and incorporating regular physical activity into your routine. These lifestyle changes can have a significant impact on your blood sugar levels. Medication Adjustment: Your healthcare provider may need to adjust your medication, change your dosage, or explore different medication options. They will evaluate your specific situation and recommend the best course of action. Blood Sugar Monitoring: Keep track of your blood sugar levels regularly as recommended by your healthcare provider. This will help you and your doctor monitor the effectiveness of your treatment plan and make necessary adjustments. Education and Support: Consider participating in diabetes education programs and support groups to learn more about managing your condition and get support from others facing similar challenges. Remember that diabetes management is a dynamic process, and it often requires ongoing adjustments to achieve optimal blood sugar control. It's essential to work closely with your healthcare team to find the right combination of medication, diet, and lifestyle changes that work best for you. They can provide you with personalized guidance and support to help you achieve your blood sugar goals and maintain good health.

@DiabeticsTalk
@DiabeticsTalk Год назад
It's best to talk to your healthcare provider or a registered dietitian about the specific dietary recommendations for autoimmune gastritis, as it can vary depending on individual factors. While both lemon juice and apple cider vinegar (ACV) are acidic, they may not necessarily worsen gastric inflammation in everyone. However, for some people with gastrointestinal issues, consuming acidic foods and beverages can exacerbate symptoms. It's important to work with a healthcare professional to determine if it's safe for you to consume lemon juice and ACV and in what amounts. They can also provide guidance on alternative ways to manage symptoms of autoimmune gastritis.

Is bottled lemon juice as good as fresh squeezed?
@DiabeticsTalk
@DiabeticsTalk Год назад
Freshly squeezed lemon juice is generally considered superior to bottled lemon juice in terms of flavor and nutritional content. Here are a few factors to consider: Flavor: Freshly squeezed lemon juice tends to have a brighter, more vibrant flavor compared to bottled lemon juice. Bottled lemon juice may contain preservatives or additives that can affect the taste. Nutritional Content: Freshly squeezed lemon juice contains higher levels of vitamin C and other beneficial compounds compared to bottled lemon juice, which may undergo processing that can degrade some of these nutrients. Added Ingredients: Bottled lemon juice often contains additional ingredients like preservatives and sulfites to prolong its shelf life. These additives may not be present in freshly squeezed lemon juice. However, in situations where fresh lemons are not readily available or for convenience, bottled lemon juice can still be a viable alternative. It can provide some acidity and flavor to dishes and recipes. Just be mindful of the quality and ingredient list when choosing a bottled lemon juice brand. If possible, it's recommended to use freshly squeezed lemon juice when you want to maximize flavor and nutritional benefits.

What if the person is acidic can he drink lemon water with an empty stomach ?
@DiabeticsTalk
@DiabeticsTalk Год назад
While lemon water is generally considered safe and even beneficial for most people, those with certain medical conditions, such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) or frequent heartburn, may experience increased symptoms if they consume lemon water on an empty stomach. This is because lemon juice is acidic and can irritate the lining of the stomach or esophagus, leading to discomfort or pain. In general, it is best to consult with a healthcare provider if you have a medical condition that may be affected by consuming lemon water or any other food or beverage. They can provide personalized advice and guidance based on your specific needs and health status.

Drinking apple cider vinegar can potentially cause irritation and damage to the throat if it is consumed in large amounts or if it is not diluted properly. The high acidity of apple cider vinegar can cause a burning sensation in the throat or esophagus, and over time, this can cause erosion of the throat tissue. Additionally, the acetic acid in apple cider vinegar can damage tooth enamel and irritate the mouth and gums. To prevent throat damage, it's important to dilute apple cider vinegar properly before consuming it. A common ratio is one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to eight ounces of water. You can also mix it with other liquids or add it to food as a condiment to dilute the acidity. It's also a good idea to rinse your mouth with water after consuming apple cider vinegar to protect your teeth and gums. If you experience any discomfort or pain in your throat or mouth after consuming apple cider vinegar, it's best to stop using it and consult with your healthcare provider.

Yes, you can definitely use lemon juice with warm water. Lemon water is a great way to stay hydrated and can provide a variety of health benefits. Drinking warm lemon water in the morning can help stimulate digestion, boost metabolism, and improve immune function. However, it's important to keep in mind that lemon juice is acidic and may cause irritation or enamel erosion if consumed in excessive amounts. It's best to dilute lemon juice with water and consume it in moderation. Additionally, if you have any health conditions or are taking medications, it's important to talk to your healthcare provider before adding lemon water to your daily routine.

@DiabeticsTalk Год назад
Incorporating cinnamon into your morning routine is a great choice! Cinnamon has been studied for its potential health benefits, including its impact on blood sugar control. It may help improve insulin sensitivity and regulate blood sugar levels. Taking half a teaspoon of cinnamon with your drink each morning can be a simple and enjoyable way to include this spice in your diet. However, it's important to note that while cinnamon shows promise in supporting blood sugar management, it is not a replacement for medical treatment or a substitute for a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. If you have any specific health concerns or are taking medications, it's always a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional or a registered dietitian before making significant changes to your diet or incorporating supplements. They can provide personalized advice based on your individual needs and help you make informed decisions about your health.

@DiabeticsTalk
@DiabeticsTalk 11 месяцев назад
The optimal ratio of lemons to water can vary based on personal preference and the intended use of the lemon water. Here are a few common ratios to consider: Lemonade for Flavor: For a refreshing lemonade-like flavor, you can start with a ratio of about 1 to 2, which means one lemon per 2 cups (16 ounces) of water. Adjust the ratio to taste, adding more lemon if you prefer it tangier or diluting it with more water for a milder flavor. Detox or Weight Loss: Some people enjoy a more concentrated lemon water for detox or weight loss purposes. In such cases, you might use the juice of one lemon in a glass of warm water (about 8-12 ounces) in the morning on an empty stomach. This is often referred to as "lemon water detox" and is believed to have various health benefits, though scientific evidence is limited. Everyday Hydration: If you're simply looking to make lemon-infused water for daily hydration without an overpowering lemon taste, you can start with a slice or two of lemon per glass of water. This imparts a subtle flavor without being too strong. Remember that the ideal ratio can vary from person to person, so feel free to adjust to your taste preferences. Additionally, consider the freshness and size of the lemons, as they can affect the intensity of the flavor. It's also essential to be mindful of any sensitivity to citric acid and to use a straw if you're concerned about the impact of lemon juice on dental enamel.

Can the product true lemon be used in place of fresh lemons?
@DiabeticsTalk
@DiabeticsTalk Год назад
Yes, the product True Lemon can be used as a substitute for fresh lemons in certain situations. True Lemon is a crystallized lemon product made from real lemons. It is essentially dehydrated lemon juice that has been processed into a powder or crystallized form. True Lemon can provide a convenient and consistent source of lemon flavor when fresh lemons are not readily available or practical to use. It can be used as a flavoring agent in recipes, beverages, dressings, marinades, and more. However, it's important to note that the taste and texture of True Lemon may differ slightly from fresh lemons. While it can provide a similar tangy and citrusy flavor, it may lack some of the aromatic and textural qualities that fresh lemons offer. If using True Lemon as a substitute for fresh lemons, it's a good idea to adjust the quantity according to your taste preferences. Since True Lemon is more concentrated, you may need to use less of it compared to fresh lemon juice. Overall, True Lemon can be a convenient option when fresh lemons are not available, but it's always nice to include fresh lemons in your diet when possible to enjoy their full range of flavors and potential health benefits.

Can green tea or oolong tea with lemon be helpful?
@DiabeticsTalk
@DiabeticsTalk Год назад
Yes, both green tea and oolong tea can be helpful for some people with diabetes. Both types of tea are rich in antioxidants and have been associated with potential health benefits, including supporting blood sugar management. Green Tea: Green tea contains compounds called catechins, which have been studied for their potential to improve insulin sensitivity and reduce blood sugar levels. Some research suggests that regularly consuming green tea may help improve glycemic control in people with type 2 diabetes. Adding lemon to green tea can provide additional flavor and may have a slight positive effect on digestion. Oolong Tea: Oolong tea is a traditional Chinese tea that falls between green tea and black tea in terms of oxidation. It also contains antioxidants and has been studied for its potential health benefits. While there is limited research specifically on oolong tea and diabetes, some studies suggest that it may help improve insulin sensitivity and reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes. Adding lemon to your tea can provide a burst of flavor and vitamin C without significantly affecting blood sugar levels. However, keep in mind that individual responses to foods and beverages can vary, so it's a good idea to monitor your blood sugar levels to see how your body reacts. As with any dietary changes, it's important to incorporate tea as part of a balanced diet and diabetes management plan. If you have any concerns or are taking medications that may interact with tea, it's a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet.

What my fasting blood sugar level high rather than after a meal?
@DiabeticsTalk
@DiabeticsTalk Год назад
There can be several reasons why your fasting blood sugar level may be higher than your post-meal blood sugar level. Here are a few possible explanations: Dawn phenomenon: The dawn phenomenon refers to a natural rise in blood sugar levels in the early morning hours. It is caused by hormonal changes that occur in the body to prepare for waking up. In some individuals, this can lead to higher fasting blood sugar levels. Somogyi effect: The Somogyi effect, also known as rebound hyperglycemia, occurs when blood sugar levels drop too low during the night, prompting the body to release hormones that increase blood sugar levels. This can result in higher fasting blood sugar levels in the morning. Medications: Certain medications, such as corticosteroids, can raise blood sugar levels, particularly in the morning. If you take any medications that can affect blood sugar levels, it's worth discussing this with your healthcare provider. Insufficient insulin production or insulin resistance: In some cases, higher fasting blood sugar levels may be due to underlying issues with insulin production or insulin resistance, which can affect the body's ability to regulate blood sugar effectively. It's important to speak with your healthcare provider about your specific situation to determine the underlying cause of your high fasting blood sugar levels. They can perform further tests and provide appropriate guidance and treatment to help manage your blood sugar levels effectively.

Why not just not eat a carbohydrate meal?
@DiabeticsTalk
@DiabeticsTalk Год назад
While it's true that reducing or eliminating carbohydrates from your diet can help lower blood sugar levels, it's important to remember that carbohydrates are an important source of energy and nutrients for the body. In fact, the American Diabetes Association recommends that people with diabetes consume carbohydrates as part of a balanced diet. Instead of cutting out all carbohydrates, focus on choosing healthier sources of carbs, such as whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, and be mindful of portion sizes. Balancing your carb intake with protein, healthy fats, and fiber can also help regulate blood sugar levels and promote overall health. If you are considering making significant changes to your diet, it's important to work with a healthcare professional or registered dietitian to develop a personalized meal plan that meets your nutritional needs and health goals.

Just drink cold water
@DiabeticsTalk
@DiabeticsTalk Год назад
Drinking cold water can be a refreshing and hydrating choice, especially in hot weather or after physical activity. Cold water can help quench your thirst and provide a feeling of relief. Here are some potential benefits of drinking cold water: Hydration: Cold water can help keep your body hydrated, which is important for maintaining various bodily functions, including circulation, digestion, and temperature regulation. Calorie Burning: Drinking cold water may temporarily boost your metabolism as your body works to warm the water to your core body temperature. Exercise Recovery: After exercise, cold water can help cool down your body and regulate your internal temperature. Appetite Suppression: Some people find that drinking cold water can help reduce feelings of hunger and curb appetite. Improved Mood: Cold water can provide a refreshing sensation and help improve your overall mood. However, it's important to note that some individuals may find cold water less appealing, especially if they have sensitive teeth or if it causes discomfort in the stomach. Additionally, very cold water may not be suitable for everyone, especially if you have certain medical conditions. Ultimately, the choice between drinking cold or room temperature water comes down to personal preference. Both options can contribute to hydration and offer various benefits. The most important thing is to stay adequately hydrated throughout the day, regardless of the temperature of the water you choose to drink.

@DiabeticsTalk
@DiabeticsTalk Год назад
If you've been trying this for several months, and you haven't noticed any effect on your health or blood sugar levels, it's essential to explore other strategies that may be more effective for you. Remember that individual responses to different remedies can vary, and what works for one person might not work the same way for another. Here are a few other lifestyle changes you can consider to help manage blood sugar levels and improve overall health: Diet: Focus on a balanced and healthy diet that includes whole grains, lean proteins, healthy fats, and plenty of vegetables and fruits. Limit the consumption of refined sugars and processed foods. Regular Exercise: Engage in regular physical activity, such as walking, cycling, swimming, or any activity you enjoy. Exercise helps improve insulin sensitivity and can contribute to better blood sugar control. Stress Management: Chronic stress can affect blood sugar levels. Incorporate stress-relief techniques into your daily routine, such as mindfulness, meditation, yoga, or deep breathing exercises. Medication Review: If you're on diabetes medication, discuss your concerns and experiences with your healthcare provider. They can adjust your treatment plan if needed or suggest alternative options. Monitor Your Blood Sugar: Regularly check your blood sugar levels to track how certain foods or activities affect you. This information can help you and your healthcare provider make more informed decisions. Adequate Sleep: Ensure you get enough restful sleep each night, as sleep deprivation can impact blood sugar levels. Hydration: Stay well-hydrated by drinking water throughout the day. Support from a Healthcare Provider: Work closely with your healthcare provider to manage your diabetes effectively. They can provide personalized advice and guidance tailored to your needs. Remember that managing diabetes and improving health is often a combination of multiple factors, and it may require trial and error to find what works best for you. If you find it challenging to control your blood sugar levels, consult your healthcare provider for a comprehensive assessment and guidance on managing your condition.

Why not keto diet ?
@DiabeticsTalk
@DiabeticsTalk Год назад
The choice between a morning drink and the ketogenic diet depends on individual preferences, health goals, and the guidance of a healthcare professional. The morning drink we presented could be a helpful addition to a balanced diet and lifestyle for overall health and blood sugar management. However, it is not a substitute for a comprehensive approach to diabetes management, which may include dietary changes, physical activity, medication, and regular monitoring. The ketogenic diet is one approach that some individuals find beneficial for weight loss and blood sugar control. It can be effective for certain individuals with diabetes, but it's important to consider factors such as individual health status, personal preferences, and potential long-term sustainability. It's recommended to work with a healthcare professional or a registered dietitian who can provide personalized guidance based on your specific needs and goals. They can help determine the most suitable dietary approach, which may include aspects of the ketogenic diet or other strategies tailored to your individual circumstances.

Hi, I make my own ACV, there are many RU-vid channels that show you how, it’s simple. Cut a couple of apples into a clean jar add 1\4 cup of sugar, fill the jar with filtered water and mix, cover with a cloth or kitchen paper. Leave to ferment for about a month. The mother will eventually form. Mix every day. Sieve before bottling it up. I hope this helps.

@DiabeticsTalk Год назад
You're right that managing carbohydrate intake is important for people with diabetes, as carbohydrates directly impact blood sugar levels. However, it's not necessary to completely avoid carbohydrates. It's about making smart carbohydrate choices, monitoring blood sugar levels, and working with a healthcare professional to create a balanced and manageable meal plan. The type and amount of carbohydrates, along with portion control, play a crucial role in diabetes management. It's always best to tailor dietary choices to individual needs and consult with a healthcare provider for personalized advice.

@DiabeticsTalk
@DiabeticsTalk Год назад
It sounds like you're taking proactive steps to manage your diabetes through a combination of intermittent fasting, careful food choices, and regular exercise, which is fantastic! It's important to tailor your approach to what works best for your body and lifestyle. If apple cider vinegar and coffee are causing discomfort for your stomach, it's perfectly okay to skip them. While these are often suggested for potential health benefits, they're not essential components of diabetes management. Everyone's body responds differently, and it's crucial to prioritize your comfort and well-being. Instead of focusing on specific foods or remedies that may not agree with you, continue to focus on the positive habits that are helping you control your diabetes effectively. Consistency with your intermittent fasting routine, making mindful food choices, staying active, and working closely with your healthcare team are the cornerstones of your success. If you ever have concerns or questions about your diabetes management, don't hesitate to consult your healthcare provider. They can provide personalized guidance and support to ensure you're on the right track to achieving your health goals. Keep up the great work, and remember that your well-being is the ultimate priority! 🌟🏃‍♂️🥗

We understand that apple cider vinegar can have a strong and somewhat challenging taste for some people. However, if you're looking for alternative ways to incorporate the potential health benefits of vinegar without the strong flavor of apple cider vinegar, you might consider the following options: Vinegar Capsules or Supplements: Some companies offer vinegar capsules or supplements that contain vinegar in a concentrated form. These can provide some of the potential health benefits of vinegar without the taste. Different Types of Vinegar: While apple cider vinegar is one of the most commonly used types for its health benefits, you could try other types of vinegar like white vinegar or red wine vinegar, which have milder flavors. However, their potential health benefits may vary. Vinegar Dressings: Consider using vinegar as an ingredient in salad dressings or marinades, where it can be combined with other flavors and ingredients to create a more palatable taste. Vinegar-Infused Foods: Some foods, like pickles, sauerkraut, and certain condiments, are made with vinegar. These can be a way to introduce vinegar into your diet without the strong taste of straight vinegar. Dilution: If you still want to try apple cider vinegar, you can dilute it with water to make it milder. Start with a small amount of vinegar and gradually increase it as you become more accustomed to the taste. Flavored Vinegars: Some specialty stores offer flavored vinegars that have added herbs, spices, or fruit extracts to create a more pleasant taste. Remember that while vinegar may offer some potential health benefits, it's not a miracle solution, and individual responses can vary. It's essential to choose dietary options that are enjoyable and sustainable for you. If you have specific health concerns or are considering vinegar for a particular purpose, it's also a good idea to consult with a healthcare provider or a registered dietitian for personalized guidance.
