I think real life heroes could be mixed among dc, marvel and the boys...yes, some of the boys depiction of superheroes is right that people can't always be good and there are darker sides in each one of us which only gets worse in situations when you have powers LMAO

Totally!! It's great to see the perspective of the kids that were dosed with V and don't have a goal to destroy/kill the top people at Vaught. Not to mention the payoff of the things they can't take the time to explain on The Boys due to time constraints and still move the story along.

How much more could they do though? Before it becomes a copy and paste of other superheroes The only good thing with the boys, is the fact that it realistically shows how these supes are just human with powers, so they're just as twisted as normal people, unlike the avengers that's the only thing Other than that, all the powers and characters are not original at all, just slightly modified Even that golden boy, he really was a version of human torch 😅 But that's every superheroes content tbh

I really appreciate how this series seems to portray powers as metaphor for different struggles, I.e. cutting, dysphoria, eating disorder, manipulative control etc. and explores what type of parents would even give their kids compound V in the first place

Anyone notice the animal pics in the Woods room??? They were the same animals and cartoony like, just like the ones in the head of Black Noir from last season. I think this means he definitely spent some time in that room when they were mind-F-ing him.

Except the cartoons explained that black noir was at that chuck e. Cheese style restaurant when he first manifested his powers injuring a kid and hiding in the ball pit. That's where the cartoon characters come from.

I think this definitely has the potential to be as good or better. I actually think these kids, so far anyways, are more likable then most of the people in the main show. Or at least more sympathetic characters.

If anybody is going to kill Homelander, I think it will be a "team" effort. Someone to "hold him down", someone to "mess with his mind" and someone to straight up blow him up. Like Marie will make his blood explode from his body.

What I enjoy about the theme regarding basing your life around branding is that it's very modern. People are so hardcore into being online famous and profiting from their brand these days that it's actually very dystopian. What's happening in the show is literally real life at this point, just not happening up front, but behind the scenes.

First 3 episodes of Gen V were awesome, visceral and bloody. Also, smiled when Emma was getting along with Sam, and he was crushing on her. He treated her so much nicer than the rest of those aholes. Glad this is good and we got it, scratches the boys itch for now, sad though next week is season finale of Ahsoka though. Damn, I need episode 4!

These first episodes were amazing, and escalated soooo quickly! I loved the line from Emma's theatre-school partner / outer (Justine?). When we first meet her, she's talking about a series which is "a meditation on grief told through 70 years of sitcoms". WandaVision = burned!

4:19 I'd assume that Lord Kelvin is an ice or cold guy since the Kelvin scale is based on absolute zero. It's basically Celsius but 0 is −273.15 Celsius so freezing is 273.15 Kelvin.

I think when Emma says that "every time she does it, she gets smaller" was more of a reference that the more she purges, the smaller she gets, not that every time she uses her powers she shrinks smaller.

Im really enjoying it so far love how it fleshes out the universe, and show us how many people are trying to get influence through vought superheroes i really excited about where this series will go it has potential love the first 3 episode its a story weve seen before, but the setting ,and characters are really good so far im appreciate the comic book references.

hey so i’ve spotted something, not huge but i think it’s worth mentioning… during the first episode, the dean of the school, indira shetty, mentions that some of the students that have gone to the crimson countess school of performance arts, have gone on to appear in tv shows like riverdale and pretty little liars. of course, the main two characters from the show, marie moreau and andre anderson, are played by jaz sinclair and chance perdomo, who both played rosalind walker and ambrose spellman, from the chilling adventures of sabrina! the universe/timeline of riverdale is the same as the chilling adventures of sabrina… sabrina even had a cameo in an episode of riverdale to confirm this, the towns of greendale and riverdale are close to one another… i just think this is quite a nice easter egg or ‘deep cut’ if you will…

What if by the end of this show they rally everyone up to “meet THEE Soldierboy” and something ends up setting him off and he blows up all whole school and killing everyone from the series like some herogasm 2.0 kaboom💥 and he just walks off into the distance with police sirens going and his song “Rapture” from The Boys starts playing.

I have a feeling soldier boy is going to be in the forest too. When they finally break the kids out of there, they’ll find him and free him which will lead to him returning in the boys to finally finish homelander off. Hopefully he’ll kill half the evil supes in gen v too before leaving

@@Ahreigh soldier boy is an anti hero yes but he has also been shown to have emotion unlike his comic book version, tv show soldier boy would not like it if he saw other people let alone kids were being held captive the same way he was, he’d choose to kill everyone responsible.

I knew this show would be good but wow they did amazing those first 3 episodes. I LOVED the intro episode really well done. Second episode felt a bit slow but it all picked up and it excited for this show

Her blood power is an INSTANT KO on anyone, Homelander included, that has blood w/o exception. Anything else at that point your just counting on collective ignorance as plot armor. That power beats anyone who doesnt have a TK type defense. If you can get punched then you dont have any defense. Youd need to catch her at superspeed and you still might die. If she creates a barrier that repels blood, then its all long distance fighting from there bc shes invincible up close. She could nullify any healing ability including Wolverines. The only reason that power is not portrayed as deadly as it is is strictly collective ignorance bc its easily one of the most OP abilities you can get.
