Poor Jack, teased (a few times) by that spike of adrenaline right before confronting the thief only to be left with sour skittles balls. However, patience being a virtue coupled with determination, persistence and commitment, Jack finally perseveres and confronts Mr. Palms up & Confused not so slippery fingers thief, scoring yet another one for the home team.
I thought I had to deal with human scum when I worked as a bartender. Kudos to you guys for putting up with all these scumbags in order to provide services that us hard working folks need.
Mandy Don't be a spaz. He wasn't bothered. It's sort of like if you go someplace and come home and say, "it's nice to be home". It doesn't mean you were bothered to go wherever it was that you went, rather it'd just nice to be home is all :)
Every time I'm standing in the candy aisle now I find myself thinking "Instead of looking at candy I should instead be buying a delicious sandwich with a quarter lb of meat with 3 slices of cheese made fresh daily"
ive never stolen something but i always see the security guards sneakily follow me as i nervously try to look for anything to buy lol, they see my phone outline in my pocket and i think they think its a packet of candy or something
Fun fact, I just realized I probably looked like a shop lifter last week. I got food poisoning and my remedy for settling my stomach is sprite and saltines. I went into the corner store and looked around a lot trying to find saltines, didn't find any. Grabbed a 1 liter soda and asked at the counter if they had saltines. He said they didn't. Rang up my sprite and said $2.90. I said, "whoa, I'll pass." Went on to a grocery store. Think they checked the cameras after?
I always look up at the counter to acknowledge the person working because I'm nice and I appreciate the hard work people do. Maybe it's because I've worked a cashier and had to deal with thieves in my other jobs, but it's not because I'm a thief.
If its like right there when i open the door yea. And i greet the cashier as well. But if i walk in and i have to actually turn my head or... You know what i mean.
omg right.. thats why i get so anxious at stores. ive never shoplifted, ive definitely thought about it but its like the clerk knows im thinking abt it so i end up looking all suspicious then get cold feet so i acted stupid for no reason lol

I was a Loss Prevention Supervisor for Target in Las Vegas for a couple of years, and can't count how many people I apprehended (and waited for LVPD to arrive), and reports, I wrote. It's absolutely baffling.
He might as well have worn a shirt saying "I'm a thief", most blatantly suspicious guy I think I've ever seen on here. Examining lighters like he was performing open heart surgery on them.

The way I was raised, whenever I walk into someone's establishment I acknowledge them. I don't just strut in like I own the place and I'm entitled to the shit in it
There is a difference between walking in the door and giving someone a head nod or saying hi versus glancing over really quickly as you walk by without saying anything you dinguses.
j3wpb I look at the cashier and basically everyone who’s in the store at that moment just to see if everything’s cool. I have begun doing so after literally walking into a robbery while texting. Always be aware of your surroundings man
