The dude out the front of the shop around 7:20 is supposed to be some random alcoholic, not necessarily a homeless dude. Japanese convenience stores usually have one dude like that sitting out the front because it's easy to walk in and get a cheap meal and booze when you're drunk late at night. They're harmless ofc but at 4am they're gonna give you the chills

If there was any feedback for the game, it would be to tell more of the backstory in an interactive manner. Like your character browsing online articles during her shift, and you can click for new connected articles. The customers interrupt you so you continue the next day and it gets progressively worse and darker. Otherwise it had a great atmosphere that managed to be creepy with some very mundane events. Also, Librarian, I'm not 100% sure, but I think in Japanese 4 is pronounced "shi" which sounds close to "shi-ne" meaning die or death. It's an equivalent of 13 bringing bad luck, kind of.

The feeling of a well lit up shop in an endless looking black void just feels cosy, i guess you could also link it to a liminal space as well.

i still look at stuff from this person a year later. what i love about this channel is that he looks at horror like art. it puts me in a completely different lens that is not a "wait for a reaction" like what i have with the other youtubers i watch. it motivates me to look at horror, to find out what is the thing that scares people. i love this channel so much, glad tosee how far youve come, i hope the road for 100k ends soon.

Man the old Librarian videos seem so familiar and so foreign at the same time, it feels like you are talking too fast in these older ones as opposed to letting the viewer take in the atmosphere but still the videos feel very unique

I wonder if this is like a spirit version of the Kodoku curse... The traditional curse is that you put a collection of insects in a jar and bury it. When you dig it up again, there is one left that's devoured all the rest. You have to feed the insect and in return it gives you wealth but failing to do so will cause the insect to become enraged and devour you. The only way to escape the curse is to pass it onto someone else by rejecting all the wealth it gives you, who may not know what it is - resulting in their untimely demise when they unintentionally enrage the insect. Just thinking this based on the fact that the only way to escape the curse is to send it to someone else, except that it doesn't come with the joyous part of getting wealth in return for feeding the insect, or in this case - spirit. Edit: Seeing the ending part about the murder-suicide, dunno if my idea works...
