@@nathansreviews3377 there are many! To name a few, I love the bits about the old man who tells how many times he got struck by lightning. The hummingbird shot. I got a tattoo of hummingbird because right after I watched this movie, I saw a hummingbird for the first time and my grandfather had recently passed away.

Based on the book written by F. Scott Fitzgerald and directed by David Fincher starring Brad Pitt as Benjamin. A boy who ages backwards. Also starring Cate Blanchett as Daisy. A ballet dancer.

@@nathansreviews3377 I love how they made some of it look like it was shot on different film. Like the blind man who made the clock backwards after he lost his son and the way they show the man struck by lightning. As for the most heartwarming part, I cried when he was physically about 1 and she was simply trying to teach him to say her name and then as an infant he dies in her arms. I also appreciated the random update of the woman he first loved who eventually swam the English channel. Not sure why but I loved that little clip. I'm not into romance films but this movie was lovely. What about you?

@@nathansreviews3377 and yes that is really brad Pitt. They used a small person's body with a cgi of Pitt's face. If you type in behind the scenes of Benjamin button, it will show how they pulled it off. It's pretty amazing. In some ways, I wish this is how we aged because young people typically take stupid risks and abuse their body out of immaturity and by the time you smarten up and start truly contributing to society and forming strong bonds with people and get a grasp of the world around you, you start aging and can't do the things you wish you could. Obviously this isn't true for everyone but it's a fairly accurate generalization lol

@@monicapyle I loved the moments between Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett, thought they had great chemistry. Visually speaking my favorite shot is definitely the night time dance scene of Cate Blanchett.

My ex (whom I had a daughter with) showed me this movie 6 months before we broke up. This movie really taught me a lot about friendships, relationships, and asp made me think about how I was raised by my grandmother and hung out with a lot of old people as a young child. This movie away makes me tear up, even seeing you watch it. One of my most favorite movies, it was only after seeing it with my ex that I realized, no one ever appreciates aging. I surely do, I was ugly and had acne up the ass when I was young. Now that I’m older, people barely recognize me.

I have a similar experience except more spiritual. I had trouble making friends at a very young age and was very boring but I’m getting better as I get older as if my soul is getting younger and more open

Great to watch your reaction to one of my favorite films since 2K. SUCH A PROFOUND INTRICATE CLEVERLY WRITTEN STORY about the intangible fragility & beauty of life to death. The effects are incredible while the period film tone, the lifelong love story and fictional surreal concept hit all the right BUTTONS for me. Far more complexity and depth than Tarantino's disaster, Once upon a time in Hollywood, which went nowhere narratively with a bland script, no real story progression or climatic conclusion. It was a waste of 3 great actors & 2 hours of my time! I can't believe it was honored at the Academy compared to the Director's other great films.
