The Aquarium is ready for Fish, hopefully, I can add them in the next video, stay tuned :) it's now a month since the setup.
This is my dirted Indien Biotope Aquarium.
I used only plants found on the wonderful country of India (and Sri Lanka). The aquarium fish will follow if I can get them somewhere.
The Aquarium has 73cm x 40cm x 26cm and 75 Liters,
You could call it an Indian biotope I think.
Obviously, the Hardscape is not from India :D
This will be a dirted aquascape who is loosely based on the Walstad method, this time I sifted the soil first and created a dirt substrate.

Hi GI, the mix aquascape/Walstad method is always cool. The DIY elbow is great too but I would avoid brewing the surface of the water because it disperses the CO2, even if it is helpful to break the surface biofilm. Now going to watch your other videos....bye.

Hey! Nice job..very beautiful set up. ive never seen a dirted tank that wasnt capped with sand or gravel, tho.. I use potting sol myself and also cover it with sand, and it can still get pretty messy if not careful. Would you chose to cap the soil if you had to do it again?

Thanks :) there is gravel in there above the soil, I used dark vulcanic gravel. Yes, with just soil it would be even more muddy :D I saw a video from mark's aquatics when he was breeding neon tetras in just soil breeder tanks

@@GrowingInterest Akay! Same color as soil so couldnt make it out. I might try that next time.. white sand s a nightmare to keep clean when used s capping.. especially when im trying to replant or move anything :/ ps also a fan of mark s aquatics :D MD fishtanks is great for ideas on low tech low budget scapes as well, if youre interested

Well it's not super bright, but for a blackwater tank sufficient. And the plants are growing 👍 thank you 💚

Very nice ... how many gallons? No filter, just surface agitation, right? It's a beautiful tank and I love the Walstad method. I can't wait to see what fish you choose! Peace and blessings from Texas USA ♡♡♡

Thanks for the nice comment 💚 it's a 22g shallow tank, and I have a mid sized canister filter hooked up. I know the Walstad method is with no filter, it's loosely based on it :) I'm still searching for my target fish, I may need to reconsider

Sir ,I follow up urvideos,very nice also very encouragable for creating such INDIAN biotope base.one thing not understand sir,u describe that tank is dirted but don't understand which thing u used to capping the dirt?if u give the information ,then we r also try to creat like u.
