But imagine having countless eggs latched onto your back and you only being able to crawl on the ground because of them. And most likely you'll die once they hatch. Also they likely eat you from the inside. I can think of less terrible fates in the DS universe. Heck even hollowing would probably be less bad
0:22 I really could've gone my whole life happily never seeing the ass end of an Egg Carrier, but instead i now have to live my life cursed with this foul knowledge.
After getting a closer look at the larvae, I bet this is how all those larger centipede enemies in the walls were born. They look just like the larvae that pop out of the egg sacks. I wonder if the centipede demon was some other larger creature infected in a similar way
I'm pretty sure the Centipede Demon is Ceaseless Discharge's severed right arm come to life, hence why it is wearing his ring. He has his left arm crossed over to cover the wound with his left hand.
As empty and unfinished of an area this was in the game, I found it to be one of the scariest and one of my favorite places in Dark Souls. It just gets kinda wack once you reach the area with the dinosaurs.
I once made the mistake to hit one of them. Lesson learned, and I just run past them everytime, I didn't actually even know they have their own attack moves.
These guys always freaked me out but I actually loved the parasite it gave me I fed it souls until it turned into a worm and this was when dark souls just came out so people didn't know, I would mess so many people up invading them and it caught people off guard for a while lmao
you know, I'm still not certain, why are they like this? those aren't spider eggs or larvae, quelagg and her sister are worshiped by them apparently though, is it just general chaos bug stuff? they're cursed naturally for worshiping them or did quelagg actually do something to them? Or, are they just smaller versions of the centipede enemies further down in the demon ruins that pop out of the walls and the centipede demon? Is there an explanation for it or is it purposefully vague?
I believe it's meant to show how the chaos reproduces, when Izalith created the chaos flame she meant for it to create life as the first flame did, but the creatures it made were abominations. They don't follow any genetic rules, spiders give birth to centipedes, humans give birth to goats and bulls. I think it's meant to show how unnatural the demon race really is
To put it simply, Chaos isn't a single species, nor does it have any sort of consistency within itself, as is present in a species. I thought the Taurus, Capra, and Centipede Demons made that clear.
Because Chaos isn't a species. You have ###ing bulls, goats and centipedes. Oh, and a bit of bird and dragon, too. Does that combination make sense to you? Of course it doesn't! That's why it's called " Chaos"! This is life under Chaos!
Miss the cool weird effects of this game like the egg head and curse. That kick animation with the egg head was so bad lol id go out of my way to use it in invasions to wig people out
What bug is that, hosts for bugs seems to be a thing for fromsoftware? Like the actual species IRL? Looks like the centipedes like in sekiro but yet it body looks to soft. Is it still young?
It's a larva of some sort. Maybe a juvenile form of the worms further down in the Demon Ruins. It's most likely based on IRL beetle larvae from large species like the Hercules beetle.
