I like to see the improvements to the environment in this update as the city naturally progressing and evolving as nature is able to slowly come back into the city, like grass getting greener, sky becoming more blue and clearer, the vegetation entering the interiors etc

I think Techland is going to stray away from doing Roadmaps in the future. The main focus is going to be put all onto DLC 2, so don’t expect as many consistent updates. Techland knows their release dates don’t always hold so expect them to be a little more quiet

I want them to rework some of the combat animations. For instance change the stomp animation to that of the first game to make it feel satisfying to crush a zombies head again

I hope Techland will focus on minor details now like improving physics, better sfx or dismemberment sounds, radial blur, fixing climbing, flashlight fix, dynamic skybox and blood that is good as Dl1 or Dead island 2.

hopefully they are developing stuff like that for the next update, i want flashlight rework, inertia, have an option to disable combat/faction music, RADIAL BLUR IS A MUST, with nightmare mode hopefully they are cooking !!!

New blue-ish lighting is not my favourite change. I liked the grittier colorings before. Although they even broke the gritty filter with the update, so.

If you're using pc, install reshade for dying light 2. It can help with making those colours turn much grittier and darker, and overall make the game look completely different.

Hope the next update comes in march considering that they said a lot of what they wanna add is almost finished its just that they wanna improve them. And it also reminds me of last year how they released two massive updates and had people play testing them maybe thats a trend now.

I just noticed that the gritty filters has been changed in new update. Before update the gritty filter looked like exactly e3 but after update it looks too gray and so much different 😥. I love the e3 color filter and they removed it. I don't like this change at all. I hope they bring it back.

I don’t know how to feel about this new look, it only looks good to me when ray tracing is in but when it’s off the lighting looks even more flat then it already did and it just looks so washed out

its definetly a work in progress, they also broke the flashlight, fov, and all the color grading options except for harran.

Now I see why we haven't got a teaser for DLC2. Techland are great but they listen too much and reworking unnecessary things, like who cares if the metro station looks identical? Now lucky us we got different look so what ? If i were at Techland I would rework the game's intro where it shows middle finger of the whole studio devs saying thank you for your money now fuck you and play the game as it is.

Them going out of their way to fix minor stuff like this is a good sign that they actually care abt the game and that dlc2 will have a lot of care put into it so hold your horses and wait like the rest of us
