Not enough people have pointed out that losing Ralph had the biggest negative impact on the show. He stole every scene he was in and actually carried the previous season's main storyline. He also had relationships and great chemistry with every other character. Add the loss of Wells and Cisco, and the show just lost its only 3 good characters in one season.

The supporting cast is so bad at this point, the show feels empty, it doesn’t even feel like rooms are full. It feels so empty, and shallow. Like if you look back at season 1 and 2 it always felt like every person that was there had a purpose, and added to the plot and story of the season. It felt lively and vibrant. Now it feels so dull and lifeless. What happened bro😔

Honestly just make a season where barry is isolated/alone and finally let him think and do shit by himself.

The worst part of Season 7 is how the conclusions to all of their villain arcs are so anti-climactic. Seriously? Every villain isn’t defeated but is talked into becoming a good guy? We want to see the Flash defeat the bad guys, not talk to them. Who needs super speed for that?

Barry is like that scene in the Grinch where he yells in a cave "I'm an idiot!" and the echo replies "You're an idiot!"

The writers seemed to be doing weed from Seasons 4 to 6 Now they're just overdosing on LSD with Season 7. Like honestly what the Hell?

The biggest mistake of season 3 by the show runners was stopping Savitar from killing Iris.

This season was created for 5 year olds, it’s cringe. I’ve been watching the Flash since it came out, but I’ve never seen the show go so down hill. Barry can’t do anything, there are too many characters, and The Flash is not even the main character.

I got mad at season 3 because our hero Savitar who just wanted to save us from Iris got killed.

I've noticed Barry is smart at the beginning and gets progressively dumber as the show goes on. He relies more and more on Iris and the team. They need to stop writing him to be so dependent on Iris and the team. This earth variant sucks. They can do better. They're probably just trying to market to non comic fans and soap opera audiences. I def agree, losing wells and nerfing Sysco ruined the show. They should make frost an antihero. Do something with Allegra so she's not just eye Candy, cuz that's all she is. It's gotten so bad I can't even watch anymore.

I think CW is like an old, abusive relationship that we just cant let go off coz we have some happy memories with it. So we split, and go back and split again, and go back again hoping this time is gonna be different...

The whole arrow verse just died for me after crisis. As soon as crisis was finished I felt no need to watch any of the shows anymore

Flash suffers from having no real character development or plot since season 3. Looking back at the earlier seasons we can see that aside from the Flash fighting his villains, the show focussed on friendships and relationships. Overtime the show has entirely gotten rid of this. In fact when Cisco was leaving in s7, I was thinking about it and I realized that Barry and Cisco have barely even been friends. At this point they're more like teammates than friends. They haven't done much actually friend like stuff in a while, we mainly see them interacting because of Team Flash. Barry and Caitlin have barely had anything either. Her getting drunk and doing karaoke was the last thing I remember. Another thing is they've dramatically increased the amount of heart to heart conversations in each episode which only cheapens them and makes them seem cringy and overused. But they keep filling the episodes with these moments which makes it so annoying. Next is characters on the team. Characters have come and gone and the lack of any development has created a problem. We only hear about these new developments in their relationships, we don't actually see them. Barry and Iris? Pretty much nothing. Cisco and Kamilla? I literally forgot they were dating. We get to see a little domestic life from Cecile and Joe but that's it. Characters like Kamilla, Allegra and Chester have seemed very out of place and I didn't really care for them at all. I literally forgot Allegra's name. In fact she doesn't even have a purpose anymore. First her purpose was her cousin, then there was that thing with Nash but now she's just there on the team aimlessly. Speaking of, there's no Wells and it's a real problem. I don't think this show can survive without a Wells. Next, the writers keep messing things up, making Barry's son his grandson and whatnot. It's so needless. Also what is up with these villains?? We didn't have a clear villain until like the last 4 episodes. Fine, mirror master carried on into s7, I can understand that was because of the pandemic. But the entire season went without a clear villain and they cheapened the Speed force so much. Before the Speed force was this powerful ominous existence in the universe, now it's some childish 13.8 billion year old God that cries because she'll be alone and gets all grunge when she wants to kill people. Godspeed seemed like a fucking Power Rangers villain and DON'T EVEN get me started on that lightsaber fight. For the sake of preserving my sanity, I'm going to act like it never happened. Also the show isn't explaining anything. I understand some things are too big to explain, but in the past the show actually tried to do it. They spent a little while explaining how Thawne was back and things made sense. Now? Cisco and Frost dealt with 6 Godspeed clones(something not even Barry could do). How did they achieve this? Because "Mecha Vibe and Frost make a really good team". How will they give August organic speed? Because Barry using his organic speed on August's 'artificial speed cells' will do the trick. What in the FUCK are artificial speed cells?! If the Speed force could wipe August's memories after giving him the speed, why didn't she do it earlier when Barry had just given him organic speed??? Clearly August was redeemable without his memories. Also how is artificial speed so sustainable when earlier it was such a big problem that would quite literally kill you?? The show lacks any consistency and lacks common sense because the writers gave up on trying to make the show make sense.

They really hired a new writer and gave everyone some hope… now look at what has happened.

West Allen has ruined the show. The whole thing about their "children" was just too annoying. Just because they gave people powers, doesn't mean that they're the parents.

I remember years ago loving this show, reenacting scenes from it with my siblings, watching new episodes when they came out, but now the old magic is gone. The beginning seasons were far from perfect and still nerfed Barry like crazy, but it was excusable because we could assume he’d get better. How sad that it didn’t…

We came to this show to look at cool characters running fast we left with 50 filler episodes of Cecille, Iris and so on... Sad how many ideas fans have and writers are just dead inside xD

I loved Cecile, Allegra and Frost's main storylines in the "Flash Family". That Barry Allen guy feels like a filler here. I'd rather see him in a spin-off where he operates alone.

Part of the problem was that the villains in season 1,2,and 3 were speedsters but in all the other seasons they weren’t All of Barry’s problems In the beginning were that he wasn’t fast enough. But now his speed isn’t even a thing in the show anymore

Honestly, I feel like Crisis should have ended with Barry (Grant Gustin) sacrificing himself and having Wally take over as the Flash like they did in the comics. At least that way they can keep their formula without it feeling meaningless since Wally is still newer to the job than Barry. Then after he became the Flash, they could have had him go through an arc where he fights most of Flash's old rougues before he becomes accepted as the new Flash. Then they could've adapted the "Return of Barry Allen" storyline to keep Grant in the show fsr and tackle the emotional trauma Wally feels from taking Barry's place. These were just ideas I had while watching Crisis. The fact that they had all of this story potential just to throw it away was infuriating.

The Forces storyline had so much squandered untapped potential and the Season didn't get good until the Godspeeds showed up.

Yeah, Season 3 was always overhated in my eyes. At this point, Ezra Miller's Flash movie has more potential than the Flash itself. "Make your own future. Make your own past" or "Your not the Flash Barry, We Are"

I didn't realize what went down with the Hartley Sawyer situation until I saw his character CGI melted then in an astronaut suit when season 7 premiered. After looking into it, the hypocrisy of the show's messages on forgiveness compared to the studio's condemnation of the actor made the entire show unpalatable for me. I can't even watch season one without seeing actors pretending they believe in second chances. Forget the drop in quality for me. the way they abandoned their friend disgusts me

we need one season of the flash that’s just the first iteration of the flash before wells killed his mom and barry went back in time to save himself, it would be interesting to see how different barry was back then before thawne went back in time. we could’ve seen if barry had a team back then and worked without the team and how he used to solve the problem because he is smart enough to solve it

I hope they finish the season with getting rid of the Godspeed clones and then for season 8 they use the real Godspeed for the main villain or they could just do reverse flash as the main villain again because you literally can’t mess that up. The reverse flash storylines are literally a cheat code

I feel like season 3 onwards they should've showed barry needing cisco explaining things to him on the field less n less. Like it wouldve made for a cool overall show arc of how the team would deal with Barry gaining independence.

The flash has been always an "ok" show, it's like power rangers, new day new villain, talk a lot especially before fighting but after season 4 it's getting worse

When The Flash season 1 trailer came out back in the day, I was so hyped cause of the actor, the cgi and the overall visual quality of the show. And it completely did blow my mind to watch the show when it came out. Season 1 was great since it was the first time seeing speedsters in a good quality that isn't in an animated show. Then it just went blant. As much as I remember, after like season 2, it was 75% talking and like 5% superhero stuff. The rest was just Barry being stupid. I love how the show built up on good relationships. I loved the dialogues, the depths of what they talked. But this isn't the show for that goddammit! We need more superhero stuff. I could bear a funny cast which always messes things up but they are so serious all the time and they still do so many stupid things. I could talk for days about how much I expected out of this show. But whatever.
