If only movies could be like this again. What a world with such people in it!

I found out something that I did not know. Peter Lawford was fluent in French, June did not speak it, he taught her, so she could "teach: him.

I found this movie at 2am and couldn't stop watching it. I love the world in which they live. Bar stools and bus stops.

Love this movie. Everytime it was on TCM i made sure to watch.

I still remember the day my French Teacher, Patti Pellegrino staged this skit as a project for the class of Halsey Junior High in Brooklyn. I was cast in the Peter Lawford role and met the challenge with a pretty good performance, if I do say so myself. Mrs. Pellegrino was thrilled and when I graduated she wrote in my yearbook, "Always remember 'The French Lesson." Now with the help of this clip I may be able to.

Peter Lawford is so intelligent, charming, funny and good looking! This is one of my favorite clips! I took 2 years of French in the 9th and 10th grade, and I'm wasn't so sure if I wanted to take it again. I'm still not so sure! But I enjoy watching him in classic movies.

Good scene, though I think Gene Kelly would have really killed it in that scene. June Allyson is her usual charming self. They are both missed (as is TCM, which my lousy cable company discontinued).
