No not yet. The housing is offset luckily so the turbo drain doesn’t clash with the flange. Waiting to pull the engine on mine to build the block with nonvvti GE internals.

Yep! Wish the CXR turbo would work but it just simply won’t. 🤷🏽‍♂️ This new turbo so far is doing great.

Yea, I just had to give it a whirl (pun intended) and it just didn’t work out. So far so good, oil leak seems to be gone.

True! It got on boost fast and worked great. Honestly I didn’t even want to have to change turbos but that’s just what I had to do. New one so far seems to be doing much better.

I was going to try this with the CX turbo. However with this new turbo, I didn’t have to. It fits good. Thanks for the tip and thanks for watching!

I went with just the intercooler kit from CXracing got a turbo and manifold separate

Nice! Hey thanks for tuning in. Hope you decide to stick around for the long run. The Cummins drain will bolt up to a T4 turbo drain. It doesn’t have a threaded end, I simply have it running into a hose down to the oil pan. If you want it to be a 8an, you would need to cut off the end and weld on a 8an fitting. Same CX kit on your car?

I have the same manifold and old turbo but I have a greddy bov and tial mvr wastgate, the person I bought it from did tons of the hard work for me mostly relocating the abs and battery also the butterfly valve removed. But slacked on intercooler routing and other small stuff. Last week I've started to get bad smoke and oil burning from my downpipe and I'm assuming the seals on the turbo. The new goal is to find a new manifold I like that moves the turbo closer to the front of the car because I can't stand how close everything is to the firewall. I've looked at a few ge supra manifolds but I'm not 100% on how it's gonna fit and it's a big bullet to bite lol Just finding new motivations and ways to do things I'm glad to see more people building these "daily" na-t IS's because this is my first build and I have nobody but RU-vid to help me lol

@@shagmike8672 yea I can’t stand how tight fit everything is myself. I will eventually be switching to a diffuser manifold as well. I will be relocating the ABS as well. The Supra ones will fit but you will have to most likely redo the waste gate pipes. Most guys run the Turbo XS manifolds and they hold up ok. Or eBay manifolds too for around $170-$200 What turbo you got now?

@Knownworldwide the cx racing one that came with the kit, not the dual ball bearing though, I'm still on stock ecu im at around 7lb thing rips for 260k miles lol. everything has ran okay for like I said 25k miles only real issue I have is the ecu trips out when I turn the car off and turn it back on without letting the car cool off, its messes the afrs up and makes the car dump fuel. Now that I'm parking it and needing a new turbo and stuff I've been watching and finding videos so I appreciate all the work you've done man. Giving Me some motivation to start tearing it down tomorrow

@@shagmike8672 awesome! Is your car an automatic too? Well if you haven’t checked out the other videos on the channel, feel free to do so. I’m using the stock injectors right now so I am only running about 4psi. Still can tell the difference between stock and now though.

This is what I am using. PLM is big in the Honda world. Just had to have a piece of a Honda on my Toyota. I did have to trim the one stud that is closest to the head on the back. I need to double check. I believe I ran a 3/4” hose off of it. But I had to heat up the end slightly and I used some silicone to get it on there. Clamped it and called it good.

No problem. If you watched my previous videos I was running a 8AN drain hose back to the oil pan. So I had a 8an to 3/8”NPT fitting in the oil pan. Since switching to the Cummins drain, I now have a 3/4” barb to 3/8” npt fitting so that way I can just slip the 3/4” hose right onto the fitting at the oil pan and clamp it on.

New turbo is doing great! No more oil leaks and it spools just as quick as the CX turbo.

Hello. Thanks for watching. If you haven’t watched any of my other videos please feel free to check them all out. I go through installing the kit as well as how to make a fuel return system. I highly suggest a bigger fuel pump while you do the return kit. The stock fuel pump will not be enough.

Damn that sucks? CX turbo is honestly garbage. I was told that going in but I figured, why not at least try it. It’s such a cheap turbo. Mine leaked from the drain. Then it just started leaking oil out the compressor side of the housing. It wasn’t good haha. 150 miles of driving and it went right back into the box it came from.

@@Knownworldwide I'm going to try and adjust my oil drain because I got a aftermarket Cummins drain that was to long. If that doesn't work I'll put a differnt restrictor. If that doesn't work I'll get the turbo you upgraded to because it's on ebay at the website price you posted with free shipping.

@@georgebell2891 yeah man. I just got tired of dealing with mine. Just went straight ahead to a different turbo. I haven’t had a single issue with mine now.

A FFIM would definitely be nice! However that’s just not in the plans as of now. Eventually I will get there. This turbo I just installed is working great so far.

Apparently oil leaks is the CXR turbo’s problem lol. You are the third person with the same issue. As far as the fitting, I think it uses a 7/16 turbo feed fitting. I am not 100% sure as my CXR fitting threads in about 3 turns so I just sent it and used that. You get your kit on yet?

Yes sir the drain fitting size is rare and it just sucks 😂 damn same thing i tried the cx feed on it and would only thread a couple turns im gonna try a different one see whats up. Yes i got it all on but i took it all out cause the braided drain line started leaking. once i get the feed and metal drain ill plumb the new turbo and everything back in.
