Always love a podcast from you. You inspired to go thru my old patterns. I found the pattern for the first sweater I knitted at 13 years old. Of course it was in acrylic!! But I am going to reknit it in wool. BTW- that was almost 60 years ago that I made my first sweater.

Hello from Cumbria ( England) Diane. Lovely watching you this morning. Loved the Halloween displays and views of the island. It all looks breathtakingly beautiful. We lived on an island for over 25 years but I don’t miss it. Your sleeveless tank top and the jumper are “ wow” - just stunning. Well done for painting the desk. It makes it look totally different and fresh. Have a super weekend and see you soon. ❤🎃

I'm glad you are trying out WYS sock yarn and I hope you like it. I found it a perfect blend of durability and comfort as it does soften with washing. Just as you, I'm finding it very difficult to record and I thank you for recommending Renovating the Ruin channel. Let's chat soon. Ivana ❤

Good morning Ivana, hope you’re well and taking care of yourself. It’s what we need to do during these trying times. Thank Dowd have our arts and crafts to help us express ourselves and ground us. I’m about to paint another room in the house so that’ll keep me busy. I like to listen to jazz or rock while painting. I do love the WYS sock yarn. I finished one sock and it feels good on plus I love the color. You must be getting excited about Barcelona! Yes, I agree we need a another video chat. 😘😘🧶❤️

Thank you Diane for suggesting the podcast with Kylie Flavall “renovating a ruin”. I live in Portland, Maine and we have just experienced the unimaginable. Our wonderful little corner of this very scary world is feeling such sadness in the senseless loss of 18 innocent people.

Good morning Diane, Thank you for another one of your lovely "tranche de vie" (literally "slice of life"). It's always so good to have news from you and to see more glorious images of your island paradise. Here in Laval, we had our first snow on Monday and it's presently so very lightly "powdering" again right now. The nights are below the freezing point and the duvet is back on the bed. So great to sleep with the window slightly open, a cold nose and a warm body. I watched you at my kitchen table while knitting my Pressed Flowers shawl by Amy Christoffers. This pattern was on my Ravelry queue, but was not meant to be started for a while. But you know how things go, right? I started it yesterday after a visit to Espace Tricot where I went to get a ball of De Rerum Natura Ulysse for the Dots pullover by Knitting for Olive. That was my scheduled project. It calls for one main color and nine complementary colors and I was missing one. Stéphanie Earp was present and warmly greeted me with a purple wig on. She generously helped me find just the right shade to go with the others so that they all played nicely together. As things would have it, I was wearing my "Gridlove", made with Noro Hanui & Silk Garden, which is one of her designs and I had paired it with my coordinating Nightshift done in Noro Akari and she was tickled by both...even took a picture! Without my head, please! As I was waiting for her to start her cash register system again (computers!), I meandered around the boutique, looking at the projects on display and my eyes fell on the Pressed Flowers shawl draping the back of a chesterfield. It was gorgeous! It was made with Sandnes Garn Alpakka in Navy for the MC and Feederbrook Entropy DK for the CC. Of course, there was a wall of those irresistible skeins right next to it... Well!! Sooo... I figured that as I already had a sweater quantity of Alpakka in Hunter Green, and that I already intended to knit this shawl, it just made sense to get two skeins of the Entropy yarn in coordinating complimentary colors and to switch my plans to the shawl first and then the sweater! 😄 And that's how my life goes...I just enjoy every stitch of it. I loved your Cover slipover by HyggeStrikke. It has to take a place in my favorites. I just finished her Luffe mitts and Warm Hat last week with Drops Alpaca and I'm pretty satisfied with the results. She has very unique ways of constructing her designs. As you were showing the slipover for the gallery, I couldn't help but notice your gorgeous belt....it is to die for! Where did you get something so beautiful? I want one of those ! Well, that's enough oversharing for now! I can't seem to help myself. Whenever I talk yarn, I get transported and can't shut up. He doesn't know it yet, but my husband will thank you for this platform, as he won't have to listen to me rant about more yarn again! Enjoy your days, Enjoy your life, Enjoy every stitch of it. Isabelle

Good morning Isabella, wonderful to hear from you! Thank you for sharing your yarn shop adventures. I so enjoyed hearing about your decision to buy the yarn to start the Pressed Flowers Shawl. It is a fun knit and it was the first time I knit mosiac. I just took it out to block so I can enjoy this year. My poor husband not only has to hear about yarn knitting but I also make him watch my videos over and over before I publish! My husband is one step away from picking up the needles 😂. Take care and happy knitting. Diane 🍁😘🧶❤️

I saw a story about his orbs several years ago. I didn't realize ur area was included. Have u ever tried finding an orb? I was in RI as a preteen and that it took about 1/2 hour to cover RI. I'm sure it was more. I spent 1 months in Providence with friends in a big home. I luv ur vlogs. U r so talented. Thanks for sharing.

Good morning and thank you! I’m very allergic to poison ivy so I don’t go looking for orbs as they’re unusually tucked into some vine, rock tree etc. That said in all my walking I’ve never spotted one.

oh, diane, your vest - i love it! i, too, worry about the sleeves being too big, but yours are perfect. do you remember how many sizes you went down? have a happy halloween! 🎃🧶

Good morning and thank you. I made the medium, usually based on the patterns finished circumference measurement I would have gone up to the large. Especially with a vest knowing I’d be wearing a blouse underneath. However I want to be able to belt is and not have too much fabric. Also remember the knit stitches are going side to side. I definitely knit a gauge swatch. Good luck and keep me posted. Happy knitting 🧶❤️
