The J35XS Is A Pay To Win J35D 

FYI, the J35's flight model has changed since your J35A video. As youve said, it's very prone to flat spinning and no longer able to do the cobra or pull high Aoa in general. This change was never listed in any changelogs, and Gaijin has made no response to bug reports. If you could bring this issue to the public conscious, next time you talk about the J35, that would be an amazing step towards fixing this great plane.

this video is the first time I've ever seen someone actually get kills with this thing. Usually when I see the J35XS in a game it instantly dies.

You can 100% go out of flat spin by using full controls, and starting to swing your plane up and down (and actually using other controls to increase the rotation)

About the flatspin problem: A flatspin is super easy to get out of, even in this a/c. The problem is the mouse aim/instructor. Both are constantly trying to correct the aircraft which leads to it blocking the rudder for your own actions. What you have to do is, switch to relative control or mouse-joystick, reduce throttle to 0, press the rudder against the direction of spinning and when you have regained the ability to control with the elevators, go full nose down and max reheat. Ater tht you got back control over your a/c. I tested this multiple times and it always worked. When it happens in a dogfight...well bad for you :D

The way you play this vehicle has completely changed as of this morning, with the Tornado IDS Marineflieger dropping the matchmaker is heavily skewed towards full up tiers. Its a completely different game for this and other 10.7 Aircraft than it has been for the last few weeks, as until now it had a very generous matchmaker. This morning has been almost entirely up tiers to 11.3 at the least. Also something of note, this aircraft has an IRST that is at the least more useful than just flying with your Radar off, if not by much. You can still use it to slave missiles however, which is useful in a turn fight if you find yourself in one for some reason.

just so everyone knows who does not know finnish airforces. Their next jet after that MiG-21 will be F/A-18, so if you are into that and have this draken I recommend grinding the finnish tree.

I think gajin should add the ability for drakens to deploy their drouge chutes in flight at lower speeds. I belive draken pilots used to do this to get out of flatspins but i am not sure

To me there are two important things that a premium brings to the table. 1) It generally has a lower repair cost than it's tech tree equivalent. Sometimes *much* lower. 2) It earns more SL to pay for that repair. Content creators don't just down play this. Generally this is completely ignored. I don't understand why.

I really want to get this but at the same time I sure as hell ain’t paying 70€ for a single plane. But I’m not sure if I’ll have much use for it as a grinder by the time a sale actually appears.

Not sure if you know it but the J35XS has an IRST and it pretty potent since the radar is quite bad at low and medium altitude

When in superstall, cut throttle, pop airbrakes, switch to full control mode. Turn your rudder TOWARDS the direction that you are spinning, not counter to it. Pull up and down repeatedly until you get close to the tipping point, at which moment you should use your rudder (in moderation) to get your plane from pointing up to pointing down. At that point you should be able to start flying normally again. Try this out in test flights at different altitudes. Every Draken pilot should know how to get in and out of a superstall.

This thing has an IRST if you don’t want to use radar.

I used the J29D to grind the whole tech tree when it came out and absolutely loved it But damn that thing got powercrept into oblivion

i find that the irst on the j-35sx is nice for keeping a lead, before the missile can lock.

use the full controls mode and start using w/s to rock ur plane up and down (remember to be at 100% throttle) after a few moments u will be free

the flatspins are an issue of the ingame instructor (your computer guided control surface manipulator that accepts input from hovering your mouse around) freaking out at low speeds and high AOAs, if you used full real controls with no flight instructor you wouldn't have flatspinned, i think, or at least it would be significantly easier to recover.

considering the rb24J is rear aspect, were you only able to get the lock at 6:52 because the f14 is so hot?

Tbf, one good thing about this patch (and those P2W) is now in my 35d, at least I can face something that I can at least live longer and get some kill there and between as now it seems I rarely get uptired

1:40 if you ever run out of content ideas can you make a video on the J29F? I tried spading it recently and from my experience it's very far from "ok", probably the worst 9.0 that i've ever played at any given time, i had to spam boosters to get it done as painlessly as possible. If a Su-25 manages to get a missile lock onto your plane there is not a single possible scenario where you'll be able to dodge it, the plane isn't fast enough, doesn't accelerate well enough and doesn't turn enough, you're guaranteed to die if you get a higher performing missile launched towards you, like 9Js or the regular R-60s, let alone the Ms.

in jets you can actually make use of cloud cover and my favorite thing to do is get into the clouds asap and dive out behind everyone, missile dump & run. make them all panic, lol

I don't know if it's worth getting the j35 xs because I'm already got the saab 105 but the grind is so painfully slow especially at 8.7

My plan to grind Sweden is and get the first jets. Talisman the A21RB and then finally talisman the aj37 (or not). But this plane just seems fun…

Absolute travesty that they added this as a premium. They should've placed a J35D alternative as the premium (i.e. Austrian model) and placed this in the Finnish subtree. What a joke.

to recover from a spin in the J35 just throttle down and pop the airbrake then go full afterburner once it is falling nose down. you don't even need to touch the controls most of the time.

The cannons definitely hit hard, I definitely disagree with that. They are slow and without tracers - so pretty difficult to get used to, but you can easily kill people with a 4-5 round burst. The premium Draken has a very generous matchmaker right now and you’ll rarely see a full uptier with F16s/MIG29s. You can turn off your radar and use IRST to slave your missiles. A very effective strategy is to gain altitude quickly and catch people 3-4 off guard with your missiles. You can dodge a lot of IRs and some SARHs based off your ability to pull high-g maneuvers and break lock. I wish the flares could be dispersed in smaller amounts, but it’s better than having none. Planes that give it the most difficulty are MiG23s and F14s. Everything else you can dominate in a one circle and use your altitude/speed to your advantage. The Swedish tree’s future is very exciting to think about with the addition of AMRAAMS on the JA37D variant, as well as early versions of the Gripen.

Great vehicle, but not having tracers makes it a pain in the ass to get kills with the gun. I do have to say only like 5% of the games will be uptier so you'll almost never see F-14's

been playing for 8 years two people on one account and we've maxed the German tanks and gotten to 10 planes for usa and Germany. if it took us that long I can imagine others just buy premiums but its a problem when half the lobby is premium planes/ tanks/ ships

I really love 9Js, honestly. I've been short on time to play WT recently so I've used the F-4E to grind out the event, and the 9Js have treated me really nicely. They feel almost like how PL-5s look to use, although I haven't used PL-5s so I couldn't say how accurate that feeling is. This plane gets six 9Js with good MM... *I want it*

To get out of flat spin you need to lean into the way the plane is spinning with the joy stick or keyboard and rudder the opposite direction. Try it next time >.

How do I deal with mig 21s

Why hasn't gaijin added a squad system that prevents up tiering props in ARB? Having 2+ props (especially Tu-4 or BV 238) is one of the most annoying things to see when you're suffering in the 9.7-11.3 bracket.

Is it weird to anyone else that missiles are restricted from some planes? What we've seen over the course of modern wars is that Air Forces find ways to fit new missiles onto their older air frames. For example, the Ukrainian Air Force has figured out ways to jerry-rig the targeting systems for newer NATO missiles on their older air frames. Meanwhile, in Gaijin's alternate reality, we can't use some missiles that we know planes have actually carried because...well...reasons.

P51 guy knows what's up. I bring the H into top tier. And always get at least 1-2 kills. There's always a couple of idiots that try to head on or dogfight me.

I fly the J35XS low and as an opportunistic fighter. Turn off the radar, and turn on the IRST acq mode. It’s very effective in taking out enemies who are tunnel visioned onto your friendlies.

had a lot of fun with this delta wing beast. j35xs usually get throw in a 9.7/10.0 match rather than a full up tier, and that 6 aim9p just brutal. guns? no one need guns when u got 6 missiles. also the 12 CM will 100% save ur life.

I would get this if it had the Falcon missiles. Don't care people don't understand the use of those missiles, I just like them historically.

In sim whenever I see a j35 it automatically spins out and it’s an easy gun kill. This one guy got into a dogfight with me 3 times and spun each time before we could do any maneuvers.

Hey Defyn, can you please help me man. Yes you could call this a skill issue but I really need help beating 109G’s and Yak3’s . I’m a decent pilot and have big success rates with all other planes except Russian props. I mainly fly US aircraft, but no matter what I do, I can’t beat Yak 3’s. Any suggestions would be great man.

i really do enjoy the j29d, but thats purely because its not the best and makes it a rewarding plane to fly for me anyway. and its not so bad that u cant do something against almost any enemy, the only times i feel a little hopeless is a good pilot in a mig15bis when you are alone.

the tornado at 10.7 is actually really good. new best plane of the patch for me. since grinding the event was alot easier than grinding to top tier.

Considering buying this just to get the Swedish tree done, so when the Gripen comes out in a couple years (probably) it'll be less of a dick pain to get. Buuut the $70 prems aren't on sale yet so get bent Gaijin¯\_(ツ)_/¯

1. A5C has 18 Countermeasures not 12 2. I had J35XS couple of times on my ass in my F104S and he could keep up with me easily even in full turns (F104 Turn) and not loosing more energy than me. Just spamed all his Aim9Js at me until finally the last hit because i had other enemies around as well and couldnt focus 100% on him xD It actually has good energy retention its just that it can pull harder than most other jet and forcibly dump all its speed and energy. ^^

Wait, how does flying low make you less vulnerable to the radar of the F-14. Doesn't it have a pulse-doppler radar specifically to see air targets flying close to the ground?

Now that there is a MILLION premium phantoms with radar missiles this plane has a VERY bad time at it's BR. :/ Bad asymmetric gun without enough ammo, (and no tracers) the new flight model means you can't turn while fast really and and of course next to no counter measures while most enemies have enough to negate those 6 missiles you have.

Already have spent alot of money in this game. But my own finnish J35 and its has IRST????? (i fucking love IRST)
