I think Percy was the most jarring to see in a Scooby Doo setting. "Zoinks! Now pull out his tongue, Grog! I'll cauterize it with my groovy gun barrel!"

*10 seconds in* Me: "This is way too Scooby Doo to be real." Vex: "Have a trinket treat darling." Me: "... what." *remembers what day it is* Me: "ooooooh"

It's kind of amazing that Critical Role gets a legit ex-Simpsons, current Disney animation badass like Mike Morris to do an elaborate April Fools joke for them.

At first I was like " This seems reasonable for a work in progress" and then Trinket started talking and I was like " Wait what?" And then I realised the Scooby Dooness of it all and also the date and was like "Alright well played Critical Role "

“Quick everyone! To the Vox Machina!” *Boards a blue and green cart*

This would have been 40 minutes of Roleplaying combat. Initiative order is: Victor Percy Keyleth Pike the Wyvern Vex & Trinket Grog Vax Scanlan ROUND 1: -Victor uses his full movement, then casts Misty Step. -Percy loads his gun. -Keyleth uses her action to sound a warning and to move out of the wyvern's way. -Pike holds her action. -the Wyvern makes a grapple attack against Percy and rolls a total of 24. It fails it's attempt to sting him with his tail, rolling only a NINE. -Percy attempts to break the grapple but fails his roll. -Trinket holds his action. -Vexalia uses a free action to give Trinket a treat, then uses her attack to cast daylight on her arrow, and fires it at the wyvern. She rolls a natural 20 and Matt rules that the dragon has to make a will save or be startled. the Wyvern fails the roll. -Grog rolls to attack and gets a natural one. Travis uses this opportunity to have Grog indulge. -Vax rolls three natural 20s in a row and adds sneak attack damage, then rolls all fours, adding his modifiers, and manages to kill the wyvern. He uses his bonus action to hide. -Percy falls and has no abilities to survive. He considers it would help if he could turn into a goldfish. -Scanlan casts Feather Fall on Percy as he drops towards the ground. ROUND 2: -Victor casts alter self twice. -Percy rolls a natural 20 on the golden snitch and lands on Victor, then successfully grapples him. -Keyleth casts entangle on Victor. He fails his save. -Pike casts Zone of Truth -Vex feels a special something when she sees Percy is okay, but doesn't know what to make of it, because it's too early in the campaign. She fails her Insight roll. -Trinket begs for more treats. -Grog rolls a natural 20 on investigation and finds a keg. -Vax remains hidden. -Scanlan casts counter magic twice, revealing Victor's true identity. END OF COMBAT -Pike confirms use of Zone of Truth on Victor. Grog is effected by it as well. -Vax comes out of hiding once he realizes Percy is alive and appears next to Keyleth. Fans will later speculate this was the beginning of their romance, even though it isn't. At all.
