i haven't done much testing on the ship IN pvp itself. though we have looked at the sting. but too early to know what content is yet to come for this ship, but in pvp i dunno how great it is, given that it's DPR is low, and only gets it's "chops" from the ship ability, which only activates against the actian pve hostiles.

agreed, which is why players aren't upgrading the ship, but, BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT, one point that's failed to be recognized in this complaint is the 'cost' definition. it's not a cost. not by any definition at all. you're not earning this like materials at a fixed income per month, you're not buying packs for it. as you tier the ship, you EARN MORE by doing the same EXACT thing.... you tier the ship, you hit bigger hostiles, you get more loot, you have more to spend. the math scales WITH THE ship, AS LONG AS you keep the capabilities of the ship up to par with what you're trying to accomplish. ie, try to keep up with the research etc. this "costs" nothing more, cause you're "getting" more AS you tier the ship. same effort. the TRUER complaint is the amount of syndicate xp that it grants. SHOULD it be significantly higher at t12 than t1? my argument is yes. but i don' have a problem with the "costs." ANOTHER truer complaint would be on cargo CAPABILITIES. but again, THROUGH t3/t4, the cargo capabilities keep up JUST FINE with the single chest needs. the double chest? players requested "dump of surplus earnings" option for IF and WHEN you accumulate too much. geta little bonus. doubles were CLEARLY not intended to do every day. the rest of the math is too on par for the double refine to just be 'bad math.' it wasn't intended. NOT with the mantis anyway, which is ANOTHER problem with "value" for g4+ players. and this is ALSO very valid. there are problems. but it's not the same thing for example that this particular complaint is focused on.

if you use 5 instead of stonn, 2of11 would only get one side of 15% synergy and then 5% on the other side. so that's only a total of 40% on 2of11 plus the 40% if you used 4of11, and nothing from 5. so total 80%. if you used 2 as captain with 4of11 and stonn, you'd get 35% from 2of11, 40% from 4of11 and 40% from Stonn totalling 115%. if you NEEDED 5, then it's probably PARTIALLY for survivability (mitigation) and the loot bonus. but with stonn and 4of11 on the side, you could still get 80% which is the same as the above if you put 2of11 in the middle, but you lose the mitigation ability of 5of11 in the capt chair. not using 5 is sitll best for max cargo, IF you have the survivability to run a full max cargo crew (ie the amalgam crew).

that's true! saves you 3 days! probably more actually. BUT on that note, if a f2p watches this 3 months from now, there on't be those parts in the battlepass at that time for them.

@@UltimatDJzPlayz this is true but as long as everyone completes the F2P path for this battle pass they will still have some parts for the mantis if there lv is high enough to have the ship. The F2P path has limited amount of parts which should cut some time down on the first tier

we can! this is a good point and more relevant for "today's" engagement with this ship. but before i did, i needed to KNKOW if this was truly as broken as it LOOKED like.... i think when you pause and look at it DEEPLY, it's not as bad as originally thought. NOT PERFECT. changes are still needed, but with respect to the single refines, the math is pretty spot on.

@@UltimatDJzPlayz yeah it seems ok to me shame about the pay wall. I'm the same ops as you and really thinking about buying the other half with the battle pass. Would really like to know what I could do with my tier 5 pilium if you could test and show would be much appreciated 🤩😍.

@@adambrady8236 I use 5 marcus khan on my tier 5 korinar and take home 50-60k per trip. Max cargo on my mantis is only 20k. I do max pulls on everything in the mantis refinery.

well, a sally could KILL them for sure. but the survivability isn't enough to OUTPERFORM the mantis at it's most crucial component, which is cargo.
