It must hurt to think you flew so high, only to realize you just climbed out of a hole. I hope the guy can hold his head up with pride.

Mysta isn't mentality weak. He grew a back bone that vox refuse to grow. He's done with parasocial weirdos. Its destroying his will to stream. Friendships are in stake because of them. He's actually speaking what Vtubers are doing. To stop these weirdos to have parasocial relationships with the streamer

I have to disagree when you said he has the weakest mentally, he was so down to earth and he knew what he wanted and his how far his capabilities could take him. He was so outspoken and upfront about everything and when he was slapped in the face about the AR, the parasocial fans fucking his friends up, him getting stalked and his mom getting calls from strangers he said as much and complain about it without actually crumling. There’s always a point of how much you can take.

Nijien management feels so unbalanced. On one hand, we have Ike and Elira having incredibly fond memories of their managers. On the other end, we have Zaion's case. It almost sounds like there's some real gatcha rolls for managers atm.

As someone who's watched Mysta a decent amount I've gotta disagree about Mysta being emotionally/mentally vulnerable. Man has a lot of emotional intelligence, he just might have seemed vulnerable because he always talked about his feelings without much filter. He was the one to set his boundaries the best out of Luxiem when they blew up (or, well, the fastest out of the more sussy members) and many times after. The fact that he was still a streamer entertaining enough to keep his numbers and engagement despite being burnt out for half a year, even when he constatly talked about how he's not motivated anymore, is because of that honesty. I'm not sure about other fans but Mysta has never stopped being a comfort streamer, or made me feel concerned for his mental health in a way that I thought "ah, he's not handling himself well', which is something that makes me avoid some streamers here and there. This graduation also feels like a very conscious and healthy decision on his part, and shows that he knows what he wants and isn't afraid to make a big decision like this. While it's a tragedy in many points of view, paradoxically as a Mysta fan, I feel like it's a very valuable and inspiring event to have happened... I think it's an admirable thing to be able to stop when you've had enough, before it becomes too much.

Mysta’s graduation will be a catalyst for many more NijiEN graduations because of how relatable his reasons are. He is a strong one for pushing through with giving up his vtubing life to have his peace and that can give the others the push they needed to do the same to have theirs.

Mysta was so down to earth and didn't sugarcoat his words. Some of the stuff he said, i was skeptical he would breach his nda. It takes a level of self respect to leave after you made a name for yourself. I hope he made the right choice for himself, and from an outside perspective, it does seem like that.

I legit cried when I heard the announcement. I had a sneaking suspicion that he would graduate, but it pains me to say that he actually is. He’s one of my Oshis and I’ll miss him a lot. I was introduced to Niji because of him, so this is absolutely heartbreaking. I hope he finds success in whatever he does next though.

I feel so bad for Mysta, I'm pretty sure that niji as a company played a big role in his decision, and I'm pretty sure we will see more graduation this year. I'm at a point where, messed up as it sounds, I'm actively hoping that my favorite NijiEN talents graduate. Even if just a half of the things that surfaced about the company over the past half a year are true, that'd already be more than enough for me to say that they deserve better, be it within or outside the context of streaming. Luckily time has proven that a big corpo graduate can absolutely return and not lose their core fanbase. I hope we'll get to see Mysta again in a different form, but even if not, I'm just glad he's leaving that cesspool behind him.

I...have this itching feeling that Mysta Rias may just be the talent's (the actual person behind the VTuber) last VTuber incarnation. I would like to hope not, but just judging from the words he said in his announcement stream it just seems like the case... He may well just end up pursuing a different career path after he graduates, I wouldn't be surprised if he did. He has mentioned before (I think on a Minecraft stream..?) that if he were to have a different job asides being a VTuber, he'd be a social media manager. And I can definitely see him using his experiences in NijiEN as a guide and lesson on what to and not to do. Regardless of it all, I sincerely wish him the best in his future endeavors.

Mysta is also huge in Japan. When I went on exchange to Japan I saw Mysta’s birthday banner in the Tokyo underground and I even saw people with him as their wallpaper.

AR Live cancellation + Mysta wanting to graduate 5 months earlier really adds more context on why Luxiem was so vocal on being disappointed with niji. It was the very thing that could’ve solidified luxiem and ethyria as being complete groups. Wasted opportunities all around

It looks like yesterday that Yugo left, and Nijisanji EN is already on it's 4th graduation...

I like how Mysta made the metaphor of a candle during his Announcement, and it made sense for me. Everyone of them are a candle, and the light of the candle defines the effort they give, the stress they face, and more... and since Mysta keeps lighting and lighting his own candle, recieving more stress, plus his existing troubles before even lighting his candle, eventually, the candle with melt itself out and die. I think I'll view it as... Mysta's candle is already cracked and small before he light it(which indicates that he joined the company), and since he grow brighter and brighter, he melts more faster. Now, he reached his end, a month worth of light till he's gone. I'll always cherish the memories.

Although I'm mainly into Hololive, I'm also a big Niji fan and Mysta was the first Niji liver I watched and who got me into Nijisanji, seeing him graduating is very heartbreaking and I hope he doesn't just disappear from the Vtuber world Edit: So...uhhh...guess who got some good news

Highly disagree with the comment of him having the weakest mentality. He doesn't tolerate BS and knew what was good for him, that's all, and recognizing that and taking action on it especially in an industry with a lot of weird and toxic people takes a strong mind.

Watching these talents graduate one after another really got me jaded and afraid of getting attached to these characters. Every Oshi I had graduated in a big f*ckin bang some tragic some not. Kiryu Coco, Tsukumo Sana, Zaion Lanza, Nina Kosaka, now its Mysta Rias. Ofc some of the talents I like are still active but it hurts more when you took them for granted and then they go poof. No more asacoco to feed my addiction, no more bread to fill my hunger, no more genshit gremlin to tell me about the shota meta, or alcoholic boomer mom trying to control her chaotic children. For me, what was the initial catalyst of yabs and bad news was when their discord convos were leaked. Kind of pulled back the veil and made Fulgur and Vox look like tools. Mysta was talking about really personal stuff. And alot of talents had their own individual yabs. Finana had her lil drama when she censored some words in her chat. Yugo was just the first casualty and proof that they expanded too fast after Luxiem when five out of the last six waves have had a termination or graduation. EN Management must have been overwhelmed with how many waves they put out so quickly. And then things got really parasocial when the boys came into town. Mysta seems like the most mentally sound seeing as how he doesn't want to cater to his most toxic fans anymore. I'm sure he got tired of being the Nijis court jester. That shit with Reimu and Vox really turned me off of him in general.

The day Mysta anounced his graduation started just like the day Nina anounced hers, I woke up and decided to doomscroll Twitter to check out fanart and what my oshis are up to and I was smacked in the face with a graduation announcement. Only difference was that my denial lasted only a second

I will never forget Selen’s art contest stream and how management fucked her up. She was FURIOUS and had to hold back the words she wanted to say cuz u know (under contract). In my eyes Selen is the most loyal and hardest working Niji en member.

i was never really a mysta-watcher, but he was one of the reasons i even found out about niji in the first place. i remember thinking after nina’s graduation “thats so sad.. but as long as shes happy with her choice. hopefully no one else graduates soon” and BOOM the next day i wake up to the text from my friend “MYSTA RIAS IS GRADUATING???”

Mysta graduating is absolutely massive. One of the biggest EN vtubers, also the biggest L in a series of Ls from Niji EN.

Not denying that the conditions of Nijisanji needs a lot of improvement, but I think the BIGGEST reason Mysta is leaving is because of all the wrong attention he got while being a Niji liver. Obssessive fans, and dedicated haters. He and even his family were stalked, doxxed, and harrassed often. I think when he said that it's the "people that make Nijisanji, not the company" along those lines, he was trying to remind viewers that the people behind the livers are still people. I think he felt like he wasn't being treated as a person anymore that pushed his mental to no longer want to be in the company. If you pay attention to the things he's been saying around the graduation, then it's obvious the main reason he's leaving is because of the unattractive part of the community and people you attract being a big corpo vtuber. I think Vox also pretty much confirmed this recently when he talked about Mysta's decision. There's also a fan who got to interact with Mysta in game (a recent collab with Luca) that mentioned after stream ended, Mysta stayed for a while to thank everyone for their support and also mentioned "please don't forget we're also people"- this was a day before he announced his graduation.

1:10 he really did. Actually Vox said that Mysta taught him a lot about vtubing and he looks up to him. I will say that he isn't mentally weak. If you watch his Zatsu he had High EQ and the fact that he is leaving is the proof of it. He is always straight forward and always pushing the limit.

Mysta was my pick for best Luxiem vtuber. I guess I will have to find his reincarnation like a buddhist monk.

The Zaion drama left me perplexed. Just seeing fans messages of how she fucking deserved it and other members of Niji throwing shade at her. It just makes me wonder what kind of culture the company has, in extension the fans.

I heard about the graduations, but felt like it would never reach the stars I really cared about. Even Nina didn’t hit that hard. But Mysta and Luxiem is literally my favorite wave and it’s devastating that he’s leaving. I hope he can keep his model and secretly hope they still do colabs

Mysta was one of the first vtubers I was interested in. I quickly drifted once I found my oshis but I have been following him either way. I’m sad to see him go but to be honest I expected him to leave like a year ago. I’m really glad he’s been able to make a decision that’s right for him

this is a really hard thing to deal with. I want to see nijisanji succeed, i truly do. but the fact is the company is doing nothing to change. if you follow both EN and JP you can see just how differently the two branches are treated even within the company. it feels like nowadays the EN talents have to fight so hard to do literally anything. they're all so stressed out all the time over various things and it hurts to watch. I don't blame mysta for being sick of it. i didn't even really watch him and i could feel just how fed up he was with everything and it breaks my heart knowing there may be others inside who feel the same. I'm terrified to think about if my oshi is next. EN as a whole has not been able to recover fully since AR live, and things just keep getting worse and worse despite anyone's best efforts to boost morale (like pomu's massive cover project) i agree with you that mysta's graduation is monumentally fucking historic. Luxiem felt unshakeable to me, and to a lot of us. Untouchable. the fact that one of the biggest members of the biggest wave in EN is leaving will not go over smoothly. his reasons are incredibly valid and i support him completely for his decisions, but i really hope this sends a message to anycolor that they need to do better.

Yeah, that's really tough. I think everyone i watched from niji graduated, yugo was my oshi and that was hard to recover from, and now that I'm finally open to vtubing again nina and mysta are gone. And somehow it's streamers perfect for my timezone that suffer.

Mysta used to be my oshi but it personally for me started getting hard for me to watch his streams because he was clearly not enjoying his job anymore hes not hiding it. When i stopped calling him my oshi a week later his graduation was announced and i cant help but feel bad like i dont enjoy his streams anymore but i never lost my respect for him as a person especially knowing all his dreams and expectations about being in a big vtuber corporation were crushed. This domino effect honestly makes me wonder when NijiEN’s management lost its mind. It must of been sometime late last year because I highly doubt the current management would’ve tardrangled Finana when the “educate yourself” crap happened. The fact it was Mysta wasn't a surprise as you said not only because he was very vocal about all the problems Niji has, but also he seems really done in some of the clips i snipe after the 2% stuff come out. AGAIN the company, not the talents, since most of them deserves better like Pomu or Selen ... also Nina by extension and we seen that already. HECK even Mysta i been thinking the same for a long time. Anything right now make Cover and Holo seem to be the much more viable option and a very VERY VERY good reason why they took a lot for time now to hire new people. If they go rough diamond route, then we know why. And you can also argue why when you also think in the resume most of them had before join (like Sana and Ina been prominent artists on their own merits, Calli as well but she is a skilled musician too ... and so on). I mean look at the focus they did between 2022 and now day. A year ago we had Sana leaving for her own reasons (since you cover that up once and said "why" in a very logical and reasonable way anyone could understand) and the Tempus boys join. YET! after that there wasn't any other than another batch for the Tempus boys at the begin of the year and now EN3, compared with the last year when we had ID3 , Uproar and Tempus. What Holo did that Niji didn't was to focus on what they had already + some new ones and not pump new people without the ways to handle it, who was the error Niji committed after debut Noctix believe or not. Plus make events focus around them like 2022 was a year for Holostars since a lot of events were around them. Now 2023 seems to focus more on international events instead and to make sure to NOW has a focus on both EN and ID over the 1st half of this year as i notice and even ID has half a dozen of events line up for August too. If anything, they seems to be capitalizing from yabs Anycolors are doing in the past 8 MONTHS (who coincide with how much Mysta's mind was already set for a long time to do this already). If anything, it became rare people try to quit Holo (*touch wood*), without a very specific reason like Sana or unless a true Yab happen with Rushia, mainly because they are more than comfortable with everything they put on now.

Being on the top or a sinking boat, hope the guy behind mysta can recover, no people deserve anything even near what NijiSanji does to their talents

I'm not even into Vtubers , just seeing stuff here and there. And from outside perspective, those beautiful characters? There's real people behind them. REAL. HUMANS. And no, not everyone can keep up the show with glitz and glitters for so long. Mysta said something really true. That he go million subs it means he made this amount of people laugh and have fun. But when you slowly becomes bitter, and losing your spark? It better leave when everyone still keeps you as a beautiful memory. So please respect him, and show love to the boys 😔 cause they are the ones that will have to deal with the aftermath

When mysta was on break he popped into many of the niji streamers live and talked with especially vox about how he is feeling it sounded like even before all of this happen it seemed he already made plans to graduate i think he was been burnt out and done.

I got the impression that some of Mysta's issue goes deeper than Anycolor having garbage management. I mean, the management being bad really doesn't help, but it sounds like some of his issues are things that I'm not even sure good agencies could prevent. Dude sounds like he is done with vtubing and streamer and that is going to be a shame if true, given that he has talent. Hopefully, his next endeavor will be something that he find fulfilling and doesn't do a number on his emotional health. Going to disagree with the Gura and Vesper & Magni thing. I'm not sure there was a better way to handle things with Gura. Fans need to remember that if someone wanted their fans to know every detail of their lives, they wouldn't be doing something like vtubing. I see vtubing as a means to be in entertainment, while also having the option to throw up a god damn wall between you and the crazier parts of your fandom, while also walling at the worst parts of society. If it's a personal matter, the talents aren't obligated to share it with their fandom and fans need to go over themselves and realize they aren't entitled to knowing every detail about their favorite entertainers. Magni & Vesper thing is still up in the air. I'm giving Cover the benefit of a doubt and assuming it's a matter that the two want to keep private either permanently or temporarily. I might adjust depending on what details surface. I will say though that all the agencies need to come up with a better way of dropping announcements. I hate how the whole "Notice" fills people with dread and then that dread is either confirmed or dispelled by the contents of the message. Maybe use "announcement" or "FYI" if a talent is going on hiatus and leave notice to be the dreaded "someone is being suspended, fired or graduating" sign. Granted, that also means agencies need to not abuse it to hide that they are disciplining a talent.

Think about this: Voltaction from JP, who were promoted similar to Luxiem and debuted only months later, already had their second outfits long ago and already had their 3D debuts. Luxiem only had them 3 months ago, and we’ll never get Mysta 3D (chibi doesn’t count). Like yeah, Voltaction lives in Japan, but we all know that all of Luxiem would’ve traveled to Japan if they had to, considering how just months ago a great part of EN did travel to Japan and vacationed together. Heck, we haven’t even had 3D for OBSYDIA yet, and they already celebrated their 2nd year. I don’t think it is much to ask, but why is there so much difference between EN and JP. The only thing they (company) seem to care about is merch. I don’t think they would even let the talents commission their own stuff like outfits. Even comparing them to HoloTempus, Magni and Vesper had 2.0’s, while for Niji, they have to wait to literally win a 3.0 brush up lottery. I feel like this sort of neglect is one of the reasons that has led to burnout in Luxiem and many in NijiEN. The company is literally holding them back, restricting them already, while also pumping out merch like there’s no tomorrow and pushing the livers into a parasocial image that many of them have explicitly said they don’t like. I think this is one of the reasons Axia Krone graduated, and potentially Mayuzumi. The company they wanted to join is no longer the one that exist now. I… still love Nijisanji. But it makes me sad that the livers a love there deserve better and there’s no sign it’ll get better.

The troubling news about all of this is that this might not be the end of it. So many of the EN NIji gang has voiced their opinions & frustrations about the EN side of Niji. We all know how Nina felt about how things were handled, Selen on numerous occasions has voiced her displeasure about the EN side, and now Mysta graduating saying the exact same things that so many have been saying. So i fear that we may see more EN Niji talent just straight up walking away from it all. There is a point that each of these talents just say enough is enough & that it's not worth it anymore. 2023 has been an absolute disaster for Niji with so many talents leaving. I don't know if it will happen but Niji as a whole really need to stop & re-evaluate their business model especially the brands not associated with JP. Something is definitely wrong & they just can't keep ignoring that nothing is wrong.

I feel like petra or selen is next i saw petra minecraft stream where she litterly broke down crying and she goes to university and how hard for people to do others things, and selen has said multiple times about graduating and after the AR concert everyone felt it ablan, pomu, were the most vocal about it and was destroyed where u saw it and it broke me and started thinking it their mental health are ok, after hearing yugo and zion, then Nina left for the same reasons like poor management positions and how they deal with the talents mental health, and they leave it up to the talents to take care of each other u can see that holostars talk about how they rely on each other but barely mentions it but nijisanji en talks about helping each out all the time with anything even personal stuff to the point where i wondering where are their therapist and any form of mental health help for the talents nijisanji_en is so talented and u can see them all bit by bit drying and its sad to watch the hype isnt there plus all the graduations and they will be replaced buy newer talents, Ethyria always cracks jokes about being held hostage by nijisanji sonny made a joke about it and many others in en too, and now they are collaborating with other members especially with krisis because their the babies of the group where u didn't see this with illuna xsooli they got time to settle themselves together then slowly collab bow with krisis it feels like they are all pitching in for each other than the brand nijisanji and this better be a wake up call to nijisanji corp to help the talents takami-san better do something Nina was the obvious sign something officially wrong cuz if the mom the biggest extrovert is leaving due to some of the same issues and mysta wanted to leave way before her the wth

As a niji fan the Zaion drama has really fucked with me mentally seeing the community absolutely hate on nijisanji constantly after that happened

Niji needs to clean shop on the managers and remodel their business strategy because at this pace they are going to keep losing talents outside of JP, shut down another branch and, worst case scenario, potencial talents start to avoid them all together, the later would be a death sentence.

Now I feel like I would celebrate graduations at that point, but if it would kill their passions for content creations, that is a giant L for Niji.

Hololive was my first vtubing compagny I only learned later there was a bunch of others so im not super into the Niji drama.. that said awhile back I stumbled on Nara Haramaung and really loved her streams and personality im really sad to see her go she is so wholesome and nice. Im glad she is leaving for things to get better and im hoping she's happy wherever she ends up.
