So after any spike, ws44 will connect if they try to move. As a follow-up you can do HW2 if the hold back, or HW3+4 if they stay grounded or try to roll
Don't give up on her, she's so good. She's like the only difficult character that can sniff thetaint of the top tiers. DJ kind of but not as good as reina
The style points segment really shows me how much you love Reina, and your videos have helped me improve my tekken so much, even if I suck. I practiced the electric and I can consistently pull off the bread and butter combos and wall combos. Been waiting for an oki vid for a while, thanks so much!
best tutorial channel for a wholistic gameplan of a character i've seen in any fighting game community. Been in the fgc since middle school and you by far have the best concise guides to really master every aspect of a character. Keep up the good work and ty
Imma be honest my fellow mommy mishimas. I fear learning this because it seems ridiculous. I feel like after the balance hiatus they might nerf this if they see reinas commonly dropping combo damage on oki
How do you find stuff like this in the lab? as a new tekken player i don't understand all the different spikes, how they correlate with different downed orientations and the different get up options from all of those situations. Any resources to understand this stuff better?
Coming back a week later to say this was incredible tech to add to the gameplan. I took a full combo to the wall and ran the 3+4 ws4,4 setup, got the HW2 heat dash into a df4,2,3 resplat and ran the exact same situation again for the kill with HW3+4 at the end, 100 to zero'd and they basically couldn't do anything about it. I feel like I wouldn't be half the Reina player I am without these guides, keep up the great work!
This is a little off topic, but do you know how to input that one Reina throw where she rolls and electrocutes the opponent on the ground? It’s a really cool looking move that ive seen other Reinas do and I wanna learn it. Btw thank you so much for all of your video tutorials! You helped me climb from beginner to orange ranks really quick as a brand new tekken player :)
To expand on the mid screen oki, if you end with a deep dash f4 after T!, ewgk beats all options besides tap up and toe kick, and it ch launches. You only have 5 frames so pewgk input is recommended. Once they respect it you can go for hellsweeps. You’ll know the f4 is timed correctly if it says +3 on hit instead of +2.
@@MishimaComplex Ah I see gotcha. I believe the bot is set to tap up by default. I assume that’s what is causing the problem. Thanks for the quick reply. Looking forward to more stuff from you. Cheers!
@@f_mili_r Yep, you just let the sentai spin happen and then throw a df1, allowing for another sentai transition from it. There's a bit of timing involved
Can you check something I've been using: On large stages where you can't get the wall, I do the B! as late as possible in my combo and then sen4. The sen4 spikes to feet away face down, where I think they can only stay down or hold back to get up backwards (roll is possible on the ground but it takes forever according to my testing) So if you dash and then react to if they held back or not with -ewgk if they stay grounded -mix hellsweep and ff2 if they don't As far as I can tell they either have to take the mixup or the ewgk
@@sabianfernandez497 I've been doing it and it seems really strong (I'm fujin and can't expect my opponents to know every situations options tho) I just feel like I've missed a defensive option in training mode, it's not obvious what ground options are availible there
one thing to note about ending a combo in the open with ws44 is that the toe kick is gonna beat all of your HW options even Hell Axle as it simply doesn't hit the opponent (Reina doesn't get hit either), that being said toe kicking is very risky and very low reward but it's worth keeping in mind
@@alexandreprodan5014 not go into HW, call it out and block the toe kick then launch the opponent, that's the only option I've found so far (really wish hell axle wouldn't whiff in that situation though but janky hitbox/hurtbox interaction)
