Am a little confused because my dream school, the larger class is the faculty and then the department is under the faculty. For instance I am interested in climate change and this is under the department of climate change science and policy and under the faculty of Environmental science. What should I do.

I want apply for a graduate program that is very different from my undergraduate degree, will it have any limitations towards my opportunity of getting admission?
