There are plenty of options out there to customize skates, and make them your own. However, there is one component that you should always invest in upgrading to get the best possible skating experience.

Bro, you’re my hero. Professional pilot, new father and a blader with skills.....what other cool stuff you got hidden in your sleeves? I’m a a COP with commercial rotorcraft rating, a father too, moderate blades skills, but god I love it (blading). ......mad respect English, love the videos, keep up the good work bro

Awesome video as always! Glad the recommendation from Thirty and Rollin is helping this channel to grow! Us Inline-Skaters need to stick together and support each other! About measuring your foot - Some brands put centimeter length in the liner which are not always true - f.ex. my Aeons (three different pairs with different liners are supposely 1.) 26,1-26,8 cm 2). 27,2 cm & 3.) 26,5-27,1 cm and my Sways are labelled as 26,1-26,8 cm, but they are waaaayyyy bigger then any of the aeons! And the 2. Aeon whose liner length is labelled as the longest, has the shortest liner of the bunch! You can even see the difference in length when holding them up next to each other! So be a bit careful trusting the measurements that the companies put in the liners!

Been skating 50/50's wheels on my aeons, and I have no complaints. But I honestly had no complaints about the stock USD Team wheels. Very good budget wheels, but they always seem to be hard to find. I skate in outdoor concrete parks, so having an 88a wheel is nice for sticking to the bowls. Plus, Lawrence seems like a dude you just wanna support, like with so many skater-owned companies. Just figured out an acid cess slide. Acid stalls on ledges feel more natural than souls for me. This old dude is figuring out aggressive, eventually.

To the liners part of your review. I personally feel the the majority of time a stock liner doesnt shine in it's own skate. But for whatever reason that stock liner may feel great in s different boot. In general though I'm the same. I've had the same pair of myfits in a few pairs of skates now.

When I get a job, hoefully I'll get hired at my interview this Thursday, I have my eye on these used vintage skates on Ebay, 70usd. The wheels need replacing, and I'm sure the bearings. That's the first I'm gonna upgrade. If I can remove the liner, I'm going to replace those next. If I can't, I'll just go with it. The straps are also broken off both skates, so gonna replace those, too.

I've actually been skating on stock Sway 57s since October and they've held up quite nice. Though I've only used them for park skating. Prior to that its been a good 20 years for me since I last skated, but I'm back at age 37. I try to take it easy but we all know the desire for crazy shit comes naturally. Funny enough I've been wanting some new wheels cuz yeah stock wheels are like ehh. I remember getting a pair of Derks back in the day and those wheels didn't last a month. I'm a flat-rocker boy myself. Anyways, nice video dude. I subscribed. Cheers!

Yo my guy, started as a blader then ended up skateboarding for 9 ish years, just recently picked up blading again and i wish i did it years and years ago, this channel is a wealth of knowledge, i picked up a set of USD sway 60's since they were reasonable price and been skating them for a couple of weeks now had a few falls and tumbles but nothing serious. I do however have a few questions as skateboard customisation in terms of trucks being tight or lose is pretty much all you can do, but i feel like blades have way more intricate parts in terms of finding your perfect "build" so too speak. A video on how to look at that or how too approach this would be pretty gnarly and greatly appreciated. Thanks for all the advice so far and ill be checking out all your other videos stay safe mate thanks for your advice its greatly appreciated Respect and love from scotland

How should the skates fit? Should I have a little wiggle room in the toebox or should my toes be right at the end? I’m used to ski boots and climbing shoes so normally I like a tight fit, but I’m concerned if my toes are at the end of my skates I’ll get toebang. Let me know what you think! Thank you!
@coreyenglish8706
@coreyenglish8706 3 года назад
I personally prefer a snug fit. Not quite climbing shoe fit, but I want my skates to fit like a running shoe. Some people prefer a looser fit to help with bending into grinds, but I find the skates perform better when they fit snug.

Great skating and good advice on having quality wheels. If relatively new, how do I assess if my wheels should be upgraded? I riding on stock Aeon basic wheels, but willing to upgrade?
@coreyenglish8706
@coreyenglish8706 3 года назад
I actually think the stock aeon wheels are some of the best stock wheels around. I haven’t tried the new ones with the large plastic cores, but those should be good too if you only skate park. If they’re the older, square profile ones and you’re not having issues with the profile, save some money and skate them. They’re a solid wheel.

the most important tip i got was... take the fat tongue of an Osiris type shoe or make your own. place the phat tongue between your foot and inside the inlines tongue. lossen laces till its a snug fit. the top buckle for the cuff get 1-2 clicks max. enjoy top soles.

I had to pause 2 minutes in just to say, I appreciate how you reviewed the skate. I just got a pair of Sway IVs and I'm in the same boat of being a size 12 jamming into an 11-12 skate with a thicker liner. It's not comfortable. I can only get out on them for about 30 minutes before it's just too much discomfort. Quite honestly, you wouldn't be able to even give a fair review of everything else while dealing with that. Plus, if you're coughing up $200 for a liner absolutely put it in your setup (that's why you paid for it).
