We explore a wet, rotten Gold mine and walk across rotten timbers over an open stope. This was the Most Terrifying Mine Explore Ever and I don't recommend anyone every attempting this. I will never do this again as it is by far too Dangerous, but we were rewarded with a lot of relics and mine cars . Now we see why they are still there .

This explore will definitely make ya think twice about going underground but we were rewarded with so many relics and mine cars ( Wooden one too ) PLUS we got that Shiney from a spot that still has a lot of material left behind so you know what we are gonna do huh ..... you better ...so smash that like button ....smash it hard !!!!

This was really interesting exploring and learning about a gold mine from the recent past. The old footage of them mining was great to view as well. Some of those areas looked really sketchy, one step and you take a big plunge. Thanks for educating us on what it was like. Great video coverage too.

How cool was that! Looking kinda sketchy after all these years with rotting timber stay safe MR Jeff so glad you got some footage of this stuff before it's all rotted away never a dull moment with Jeff around if he's not zipping around the decaying old mine, he is panning with scorpions crawling around giving me the creeps. Old video at the end was awesome as well those old miners were tough and hard working as they come just amazing.

I love this! Reminds me of going exploring with my Dad, when I was a kid, into old mines. There was one, outside Silverbell, AZ we explored that had dynamite littering the floor. I remember Dad telling me not to so much as touch that stuff or we'd all get blown sky high. I didn't test that.

When I was in Alaska I had a group of friends like this and life was great. 12 years in Alaska and I was surfing and fishing not detecting and Mining. 20 years later and I'm kicking myself in the back porch. Great video as always. The vintage footage at the end reminded me that my grandpa worked in a plaster mine in the western tip of Virginia. A lot nicer than the coal mines of that era. 🤠

And my grandpa worked in the coal mines in West Virginia. He developed consumption then TB which took his life at age 36! Jeff's explorations gives one insight about those dangerous conditions.

I find it kind of funny my self, how people want to go back into old workings. I cant tell you how much timber I set in old working to keep the air going the right way, when I was a pup. And how many miles I walked ( crawled in some cases) doing inspections in old workings. As long as you had fun and no one got hurt,,,,, just an old MSHA guy, and for those that dont understand a belt line fire is the worst! Watch that top buddy

I use a block saw for cutting cinder blocks or pavers or concrete blade works really well but blades aren't cheep but it does good job

Geez! don't take this the wrong way. your nuts! that was super cool. i appreciate you doing this, so i don'r have to. it's just really spooky to go that far into an old mine, with false flooring, rotten timber, all most straight down. the footage at the end, that has to be scary for the men going down that elevator, hoping for a good day, with no problems. the size of all that equipment, man, what a way to make a living. i'll stick to hunting placer mining. cool video. again, thank you for your fortitude going into the under world. just amazing!!

Nice film at the end of your video, reminded me of my grandfather who worked most of his life in iron mines. Before his death he went to the hospital and he couldn’t believe how nice the elevators were inside a building.

Incredibly sketchy sections in some of those mines Jeff. Your a braver man than I Gunga din.I was a bit surprised also that knowing what we now know about lead that the mine was open to explore. You can guarantee here in Oz that it would be closed & sealed. The old film of the miners was terrific. ⛏️.

There's a lot going on in this one. Your editor was definitely busy. We've been to the headframe in the first part of the video. The mill house looked a big operation. Great video Jeff! I was puckering pretty hard when you were crossing those chasms! I wish you would have been flapping your gums when you showed the timbering, etc. around the 28 minute mark.
