I was diagnosed with Covid long haul syndrome. 44 years old, healthy, no underlying conditions. I was bedridden for 4 months. After megadosing b1 for a week, I was 100% cured. It's truly a miracle, I thought I was going to be sick forever.

@@RedRedux No mine was different, well beyond malaise. I literally couldn't stand up for more than five minutes, or remember or think about anything. My breathing and pulse were out of control. It turns out that the list of symptoms for long haul and thiamine deficiency are almost identical. Makes me wonder how many people out there are suffering unnecessarily when the solution could very well be sitting in their medicine cabinet.

I know that most people get thiamine deficiency from alcohol use, but I got it during a period in my life when I was anorexic. When I got to the hospital they were pumping me full of so many vitamins but the doctor was most concerned about the TD (thiamine deficiency). I was seeing what looked like sparks in the sides of my eyes, kept saying I was 5 years younger than I actually was, and was just confused in general. I was in the hospital for about a month with and IV giving me vitamins and mainly B1 everydy. when I got out, I was still prescribed to take 300mg a day in pill form. I was totally coherent again, no more sparkles in my peripheral vision, felt genuinely good and less depressed. When I researched it, I couldn't believe how much I had to take to get my levels back to normal. That was a couple years ago, Im healthy now but I still take a thiamine supplement pill everyday.

Hi Elliot, you're quickly becoming one of my favorite RU-vidr. True story I decided to take thiamine about two weeks ago after watching your videos on and off about a year. I was hoping it would help with peripheral neuropathy in my feet which it did. But after taking 600 mg of benfotamine twice a day I realized on day two that I wasn't losing hair any more. I'm a 60 yr woman who's been going bald no matter what I did for 40 years. I've seen countless doctors who told me a bunch of nonsense why I was losing my hair. I've heard Biotin which never helped me at all was supposed to be good for HL, but I never heard about B1 for HL. I'm very fit eat organic food not much junk food and take lots of top of the line supplements. Vitamin B1 is the only thing that's made a difference. I've gone from 2-300 hundred strands which was very weak and thin a day to 0-10 strands a day. I would love to hear your thoughts, thanks for all you do.

RU-vidrs have helped so many people who get treated by doctors as if they're in a sheep dip. I hate doctors and hospitals, the first and last thing they do is try to get rid of you. Honestly, it's only when I get upset and angry that they begin to listen, but here's the thing: they STILL don't do their damn job. I'm sick of explaining simple symptoms to then see a giant question mark appear above the so-called doctor's head (I could punch them all, USELESS!) RU-vidrs, on the other hand, have saved my health, possibly they even save lives, I'm sure. Well done

I had sudden onset peripheral neuropathy in January 21, chilblains with ulcers that lasted for several months, Raynauds in fingers, high resting pulse rate, constant sweating under arms/groin, pins and needles in hands, blue skin on extremities when cold. I knew it was nerve (parasympathetic/sympathetic) related because my left middle toes and right middle fingers were worse, and were bad together. Doctor was clueless, said..”it was just one of those things that happen “. Came across a Dr Berg video on Benfotiamine and Alpha lipoic acid. Started taking them in May 21, noticed an improvement almost immediately. Now October 21, about 80% cured. I will also take a good array of supporting nutrients as per your previous video, including other b vitamins. I'm looking to take my health up another level to be the best ever (ever). I stopped taking b-complex a couple years ago b/c it was giving me nerve pain, and I read that too much b-complex can cause that. Nerve pain went away, but now I don't have the most optimal energy levels, and my sleep is sometimes challenged. Sleep is improving with taking glycine at night as well as inositol during the day. I already take a lot of magnesium, and I'll add L-theanine at night to help the sleep improve as well.

He died in his sleep from congestive heart failure (and subsequent heart attack) a few months ago. I could puke. It makes me so mad. Doctors in Canada don’t care because they have no time to care. I personally have been waiting 8 months for a CTA to check on a dissecting aneurysm in my carotid artery (after both of my carotids tore spontaneously last year). Also of note, I was never even admitted to a hospital with a 100% blocked left carotid and a 70% blocked right one at the same time. Sometimes I hate this country. I used to sing the praises of our healthcare but now I’m disgusted. And just plain sad. My dad could have lived and didn’t need to lose his life at 71.

In food it always comes with plenty of magnesium (200:1), and it's impossible to get more than 2mg unless you eat pork or salmon. At the same time, both magnesium and thiamine are contained in sufficient quantities in most foods. Chicken and horse feeds are not supplemented with B vitamins. My hypothesis is that thiamin and magnesium are twins. You need to keep the ratio within a narrow range, or things go awry. Both thiamine and magnesium are universal in all natural foods, and the average ratio is about 200:1, so 400mg: 2mg daily. If you supplement one, you also need to match the other, in that ratio.

Thiamine deficiency has severely damaged this world. People locked in chronic fight-or-flight (due to Thiamine deficits) have strong, but erroneous, feelings that their behavior is normal, when it is just dysfunction. They see it to their left and right, and conclude that their feelings, thoughts, and actions are normative (when it is merely widespread group dysfunction). This is particularly troublesome in societies which have made alcohol abuse and alcoholism tantamount to idolatry. Those people are profoundly misguided and sad, and they try to assert that destroying themselves through the excessive consumption of that molecule (alcohol) is somehow a strength. The real issue is that they are afraid to admit that they are wrong, and are on the road to self-destruction. How “manly” or “strong” is someone laid low, and having surrendered their free will to an inanimate object (a freaking molecule)? Zero. It is very oddly arrogant and weak simultaneously.. The answer is to take B-vitamins, exercise, speak to a good nutritionist, and throw out all of your drugs and alcohol, and learn how to be humble.

Good vid, however (and I am taking B1 [benfotiamine] in daily doses of 600 mg to handle drop foot -it did) to get the full benefit of this, in addition to taking 2-3 b complex tablets a day, I take 3-4 heaped teaspoons of brewers years (high in other b vits, enzymes and cofactors). Per Adelle Davis in her book "Lets Get Well" neuritis was only healed in case studies she saw when they were given yeast in addition to B complex tablets with the B1; b1 and b comp without yeast did not do the trick. Per Adelle it is always a good idea to keep supplements balanced as so many nutrients work together that an excess in one can create deficiencies in others. My sense of balance has recently improved and, after having read some of the successes below, I am considering going up for 3-4 months (have been taking 600 mg for 12 months) to 900 mg. If this is in excess of what I need as it is fat soluble (benfotiamine) I am assuming the liver will store it.

I had two shots and a booster with a fair amount of fatigue for at least 2 weeks after each shot. OAT testing is on the way but with my low energy, epithelial wrinkling and dryness, and hair loss i have my suspicions of lps or even worse neurotoxins from gut chemistry placing nerves and mitochondria under attack, so b1 is worth a shot. serum total b12 is climbing 1500umol but paradoxically i have symptoms like b12 deficiency. i take 1.6g/d of benfothiamin. i'm tall at 6ft5, 178kg, i'm wondering if you use any bmi indices to match up dosing. as it stands i believe i've been 'losing' a toxins battle and figure i'll need at least 1600mg to overcome.

@alisonbamford6723

High blood B12 levels may suggest your body is unable to convert B12 to its ‘active’ forms - methyl- & adenosyl-cobalamin - for cellular uptake. B12 tests are usually serum-based & do not reflect what is going on at cellular level. Whilst your blood level may be high, your cells may be starving! There is a lot of synergy between B vitamins, so it may be that a shortage of other B vitamins, like B1, B2, B6, Folate, etc, might just be inhibiting the conversion. Magnesium is needed too, & getting plenty of potassium-rich foods. I take ‘active’ (already converted) sublingual B12 drops (as, like many people I don’t absorb or utilise B12 very well digestively in capsule/tablet forms), plus a good B-50 complex & a fair amount of extra Thiamine/Benfotiamine & find that work pretty well, but I’ve learned to my cost that I cannot go too long without my precious B vitamins.

@@Rob__James I am much better than how I used to be a year back. I started taking vitamin supplements as well as a high protein, low FODMAP diet. I also suspected myself of having low stomach acid so I started taking betaine HCl.

Sir I came across a case where, an Architect said to be died due to brain cancer. I know him 1st in 2000, when I met him for my clients plan. At that time, my client told me the Architect require 1hour in toilet due to constipation. At that I don't know anything about constipation. Somewhere in 2015, he died due to brain cancer. Now, I realised that, if would have taken vitamin B1 thayamin, he would be cured.
