I actually got to see them live for the first time at their final show in Dallas a night or so before they broke up. Checked on Twitter a couple months after the show and they broke up for the last time one or two days after that show. It was sick, The Flame live is fucking haunting.

@Andy Salter came here to say exactly this. MH uses natural harmonics more than anything. It's kinda their trademark at this point.

I wouldn’t worry about that. Even though I myself became a metal head through thrash, I’ve also been checking out other subgenres, and I can definitely confirm that both groove and power have caught my interest equally with thrash, and even classic. As a diehard appreciator of both Pantera and Lamb of God, I can definitely assure you that groove metal has NO shortage of either followers or creators. Speaking of which, many groove metal videos often state DevilDriver and even Throwdown as groove metal bands. If you consider yourself an expert on the subgenre, please confirm whether or not those two bands are part of it, because I fucking LOVE them both as well. Just a request from one metalhead to another. Thanks.
