Been working on prepping for Basic Training. As it stands, I'm lucky to make half a mile so I'm hoping I can work my stamina to the point I'm ready.

Boot camp will build you there I didn't pass my pt test till blue phase, they don't expect perfection till the end, work hard and you'll see the results

@@maglio825 In AIT now. Physically still not where I wish I was but I meet the standard if nothing else. Always gotta keep pushing for more though

The good thing about resistance training before cardio is by the time you do cardio, all you burn is fat; your muscles use up all the glucose stores before it get to the fat

I still don't understand why we have to run 2 miles? I been in combat and I NEVER ran 2 miles with full battle rattle.... maybe 800m at the most.

​@Dravelen Hawk The best way to train to be better at something is to do that thing. Running 2 miles with shorts and a shirt will make you the best at running 2 miles with shorts and a shirt. Running 800m with combat loadout will make you better at running 800m with combat loadout. Sure, there is carryover, but this is still true. If running 800m with combat loadout is more realistic to war, why not test that? Difficulty doesn't only come from distance, but also from intensity.

That’s a forward vertical hand-grip.

The artist probably got the magazine confused with the grip and drew the grip to look like a magazine.

They should have the run the day before. If you pass the run you move on to the second day for the rest.

When you do 400m repeats do you sprint 1 jog 1 or sprint one walk one?
