I've just bought this and had same clicky problem. They sent me a replacement yoke which is 2 torx no. 10 screws at the bottom you just pop out and replace it. Fixed the problem . That said, I was disappointed that it was an issue from the word go. Having said that, now it's fixed, it's a belter wee hoover. Miles better than my shark cordless and the battery seems to be 10 times better too. It sucks up loads more. Well impressed
But I wished that Gtech communicated with me better like they did you, but what you have said, they know about the problem and are sorting it by the way they are sending out replacement parts, I wanted to engage with Gtech but they were not interested, that was a main issue for me, all they did was send me out a new one, that was the same.. Question please, does it stand up up right now or does it still lean back? Like my video…
That’s good, but why should you have to do this? I also did not get a good response / feedback from Gtech, I sent them the video etc, and all they wanted to was take it back and give me a refund…
@@lookitsyoupleased I have seen this video as was already dubious as not able to use tools with it. However not sure I understand your complaint that they wanted to take it back and refund you, is that not a good thing?
@@Maax_555 it is a good thing they have gave me a full refund, it’s in their terms and conditions, like I said in my video, I’ve had 2 before, the last one for over 4 years, loved it, but it stopped working, so it’s outside the warrenty, so thought I would treat myself to the latest one, but as I also explained, it did not feel or sound right, I tried to tell them about this, I wanted some help and feedback, but all they wanted to do was take it back and refund me, good services on that account, but I would of like to of engaged with them and find out what the problem was, but they were not interested..
Well reckon you must have caught them on a bad day. I ordered our new platinum 3pm Friday and it arrived 8.30am the following day. The clunking and clicking of the handle on your one must have be made at the end of a 12hr shift - our one twists and turns in silence. Plus when it was all assembled our platinum stood up straight. Definitely think you were sent a dud.
I think not, this was my second one, and they both did the same, it’s poorly made.. not the same quality as the earlier models, which I have had, and have had great service with..
@@mia3513 that’s a good question that I cannot answer.. maybe you are lucky, like I said I sent my first one I sent back, and then the second one was the same… how come mine was so poorly made? I’ve had no feedback from Gtech, I even ask them could they respond to my concern? They were very good in replacing it, and very good taking it back and refunding me, but not good in giving me a reply with the problem I had.. I was so disappointed, considering that I’ve had 2 earlier models and they were great…
Hello, you said your older Gtech is “non working” what do you mean by that? No power? Strange noise? No power: possibly needing a new battery, not sure but try swapping the batteries on both machines maybe? Strange noise: check the brush rolled and that it still comes out easily and there is no hair wrapped around it
Glad I came across this. Our gtec k9 motor has packed in and it sounds like a jumbo jet taking off. It's two and a half years old. Not a great lifespan. Was considering the platinum. Guy who repairs hoovers said the Dyson V8 is the best you'll buy. Not sure what to get.
Well, after we sent it back, we went out and bought the Dyson V12.. fantastic hoover.. lots of attachments, so easy to use, and great suction.. no regrets…
Oh sorry, are you talking about the Dyson V12 I bought? If so no, there is a on/off button at the top, it’s the earlier models you have to keep you finger on the button, I def recommend the Dyson V12
It is isn’t it, I rarely give bad reviews, I had the older Gtech as seen in the picture, used it for a few years with out any problem, the new one with all the offers and how they advertised it made me want to buy it, but as you can see in the video my concerns, and the worst part is, all Gtech said was send it back and you can have a full refund, no explanation as to what it was, it was on both machines, I had been on the waiting list and paid for it months before I received it, it was late in sending out as they had delays in the manufacturing of it, all I can say is their quality control was not up to scratch, and it felt rushed, no apology either, so a bit niffed, hence my review, but saying that I was forced into getting a Dyson V12, and have not looked back.. so there is a silver lining
G tech is really a budget product but marketed as a high end product with price to match. The wheels on these things are an utter joke breaking all the time. The power switches were a complete pathetic joke so tiny, always breaking and the electrical board was wired like a 5 year old. So yourself a favour and stick to something like a Sebo.
Those gtechs are 'such' a load of old shit. I had one of the originals and after vacuuming only half a Carpet, it would spit all the dirt out of the front. It was SO messy
How am I weird? The old one was broken, not working, so I needed a new one, the new Gtech’s are rubbish, sent it back, got a refund and bought a Dyson V12, best hoover I have had, far better that the Gtech, smooth and easy to use and better suction…
