@@scarvello while I don't agree Mecha break exists because of armored core 6 (it started development long before the announcement for ac6), two things must be said: 1- Mecha break had a lot more attention because of the hype ac6 amassed 2- a lot of indie mech games started or restarted development after ac6 AC6 certainly had a huge impact, it is just gonna take some time for us to finally get our hands on games that started development now

I have high hopes for this one. The lack of full fledged customization was off-putting at first but after seeing more footage of the unique mechs and learning how the game works I'm genuinely impressed and anticipating the release. I wished Gundam Evolution was more like this during it's time.

Game just looks straight up fun. With mechs not being limited to character created chasis you get some true variation. Curious if mechs have any variants or if they are unchanging like hero characters. Either way im equally excited

this needs some action figures or model kits of the mecha. Also be cool if they made a anime series. Only thing i don't like is its multiplayer. I'm more of a solo player myself but the game does look fantastic.

Was interested for all of 3 seconds, then 'multiplayer' was mentioned and that killed it for me. Still, glad to see more mech games. Would like to see more Battletech/Mechwarrior since I prefer the big stompy robots more than the fast ones.

Man, the moment to moment gameplay looks really cool but I hate hero shooter rps style combat so much. In a mecha game especially, I want that ability to 1v3+ by just being a better pilot. I don't want wins to come down to strategy and teamwork, I want them to come down to mechanical skill and build prep with those other aspects being at most an afterthought. Oh well. Might still check the game out anyway, even if it's not what I hoped for.

Interesting... I wonder will there be "dual zimmerman with songbirds" equivalent. XD In all seriousness, game looks fun but it will live or die on its weapon/mech balancing. See what happened to AC6 pvp, it got stale and died quickly due to very bad balance. Was fun at first then that got old. Maybe team pvp and battle royale focus ( btw it sounds like mix of apex and overwatch which is intriguing ) from the start will help in this style of game.

From the little I played, there wasn’t really one that stood out over the others in every situation. Since it was so team based, it really all came down to strategy and using the abilities in the correct situation, which is good imo. Didn’t get to try everything so there may be some on release that shine more

@@Ziostorm Hmm.. thats good. I am glad that someone is picking up on mech genre after AC6. Personally i was kinda disappointed in the pvp side of it after honeymoon phase of the game, but maybe team play to prevent blandness of builds and meta play-styles is what genre needs. Will watch this game closely.

AC VI pvp is not dead at all... I play everyday and though there are times when there's more people connected, it rarely goes beyond 1 min without a match, and have had a lot of build variety lately. PVP is good atm, at least on PS5

@@AlejandroFaustoC also AC6 has a problem of bad net code leading to projectiles having bigger hit boxes. Nothing feels worse then taking damage from something you clearly dodged. It also makes lobsters even more OP then they already are.

Looks cool. But team games are not for me. Luck is the person that manages to get friends to form a team. but 99% will be solo queue and its hell in any team game of any kind. If its free I will give a try anyway.

I'll continue saying it, as long as it is balanced and they don't gatcha stat heavy elements like generators, if people loses not because they are being outplayed and outskilled but because some whale gatcha-ed $500 for a generator to move faster and hit harder... but I feel they will monetize that way and kill their own product... would be better if the gatcha well balanced and very different mechs and weapons so people has to learn different playstyles without hardlocking everyone into a meta pick, gatcha style defining mechanics, not game's balance itself

Was hopeing for more of a warframe experience with pve....sad to hear its mostly pvp.... I miss the days with just a coop game...not always online, not an mmo...but just 4 player coop...im sick of just 2 player experiences as i swear i have more than 1 friend, and i hate that any game thats more than 2 players needs to be a online only experience....

For those curious, the 'confidential mech' they used is likely a melee mech with cloaking capabilities. The kit is as follows: Weapon 1: Sword Weapon 2: Sword Ability 1: Electric Shoulder-mounted harpoon. Requires lock-on. Targets hit by the harpoon cannot lock-on and cannot escape. Ability 2: Stealth Module. Disables lock. Channeled ability. Makes you invisible. Ability 3: 3 Throwing knives. Requires lock, damages health directly. Not sure of the exact properties, but this is what we've been able to scrape together looking at footage featuring killcams from JP creators.

That mech is confidential? Didn't know that. It's busted, BTW. I heard they nerfed melee hard in the latest version, though. Melee is also hard to play in Mashmak because ranged Strikers just mow you down. Requires good strategy!

No cares but I was never a fan of the speedy toy-box style mech games have; I always wanted something weighty, hyper-detailed with relatively low-tech sci-fi weaponry, with plenty of environmental destruction and interaction. Think of something you'd see in classic Gundam or Evangelion.
